I think the fair, honest thing to agree on is this. Any team can get beat at any given time. Its the odds of what transpires at the moment in time. My take, considering Mahomes past performances, win or go home scenario, the odds of the Chiefs winning is in their favor significantly. I think the fair, honest thing to agree on is this. Any team can get beat at any given time. Its the odds of what transpires at the moment in time. A tipped ball into an interception, star player goes down, fumble, etc etc. So, we base our opinions on the eye test. Some see the Chiefs as average and not as explosive as previous while some look at their record. My take, considering Mahomes past performances, win or go home scenario, the odds of the Chiefs winning is in their favor significantly. To say the Chiefs cant 3 peat because of history is ignoring recent history of what the Chiefs have accomplished. Already done more than the teams labeled a dynasty in the past. My hopes is a successful 3 peat, but would never place a bet because upsets are always on the table. Imo, i am leaning towards the top 3 Afc teams will all be knocked off by the lower seed team, and they will play against a 3 or 4 seed NFC team.

Those who don't know history. In the 100+ year history of the NFL, no head coach and QB have won their first SB together beyond year 5. Lamar and Harbaugh are past year 5, and so are Allen and McDermott. This is year 5 for Burrow and Taylor. In fact, that rule applies to almost all major sports. We're talking hundreds of seasons. They may knock KC out and make it to the SB this year, but history is against them when it comes to winning it. At least a 3-peat has happened 2x before in the NFL and many more times in other sports. The Ravens, Bills, and Bengals' current HC + QB + Owner formula doesn't work when it comes to winning a SB. Mahomes + Reid have been to 4 SBs in 6 seasons together (Mahomes starter). Lamar, Allen and Burrow with their current head coaches, 1 SB in 17 seasons. There isn't parody in the NFL. It's a lie. For ~20 years pre-Mahomes, if you didn't have Brady, Big Ben, or Peyton, you never went to a SB from the AFC.
