- Patrick Mahomes was not selected for the 2024/25 NFL Pro Bowl in favor of Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow. Nick Wright says this is disrespectful to Mahomes due to the Chiefs’ 15-1 record, and Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes ask if the voters got it wrong.

Wright's right for once - this is great for the man-child Chiefs, who seem to need some kind of juvenile, invented chip on their shoulder so they can get into their best "the world disrespects us we're the true underdogs" mentality. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the segment title.
Lemme guess Nick's next take while I've got him paused - of course this is disrespectful to Mahomes.
Except it ain't. The Pro Bowl isn't given based on prior years' play, it's based on the current year's play. The 3 guys who made the AFC Pro Bowl are having miles better seasons this year. If we gave Pro Bowls based on prior years, Aaron Rodgers should be in consideration.
Hilarious - I refrained from putting it right on Mahomes, giving him the benefit of the doubt, and along comes Wright to announce that yes, Mahomes is a petty, grudge-bearing man-child who needs a chip on his shoulder to get into his delusional "I'm the disrespected underdog" mentality he needs to play his best. Yes, Patty, you've got two SBs and the world just won't give you a break. Poor little you. Show us on the doll where the bad man touched you.
"AN OUTRAGE!" Lol. Which of the three AFC QBs who have had PROFOUNDLY better seasons than Mahomes does Wright want to bump to give Mahomes his legacy admit? The pro bowl is not a team stat. Wins are a team stat. The whole purpose of it is to recognize individual excellence, not team wins. 2024-25 Mahomes is precisely the kind of QB season that should NOT earn a Pro Bowl spot. Cope and seethe, I guess.
Well that’s part of it too lol all the cheifs got snubbed , even Chris jones and Travis barely got on and it seemed weird to have people on more loosing teams above them . Burrow on there is sad 🤣
tom brady threw for 4500 yards and 40tds and didn’t make a pro bowl…. you’re fine nick
Josh has done this multiple times with 700 on the ground why hasn’t he gotten MVP yet😭
Stop with the nonsense. YTD Joe Burrow has thrown for over 4600 and 42 tds. Lamar Jackson has thrown for nearly 4000yds and 39 tds
Facts, this pro bowl narrative isn’t even new
@@AlwaysInnaHoodie of course, as usual... lying for that clown.. 700 rushing ..gtfoh lol

Nick argued the whole season that the chiefs were just practicing for the playoffs, but then acts like it is outrageous to have the statistically best QBs in the pro bowl.
Nicks argument was ridiculous, like he really said mahomes not making it is cause the voters don’t believe he can put up huge stats anymore, like that has nothing to do with the voting😂😂
Exactly!
So Nick is OUTRAGED Mahomes didn’t make the Pro Bowl with 3,928 yards 26TD - 11INT, 93.3 Passer Rating, 6.8 yards an attempt… but I’m old enough to remember Brady in 2020 had 4,633 yards 40TD - 12INT, 102.2 Passer Rating, 7.6 yards an attempt his first year in Tampa; and ON THIS VERY SHOW Nick was trying to justify why Brady wasn’t selected over Kyler Murray. It’s all fun and games until the proverbial spit blows back in your face
He’s right in a way if u listen to his actual argument im fine with kc not having mahomes but if that’s the case they should have at least 10-11 other pro bowler teammates no way all them ravens are in over some of those chiefs players they are clearly inflating the ravens players into the pro bowl to help Josh
@ if it’s based on the Ravens then I agree, because for a significant part of the season that defence was worst in the league… However, objectively to put guys in you have to specifically take certain guys out. Can anyone argue any Chiefs pass rusher has had a better season than Kyle Van Noy? And Safety on the chiefs been better than Hamilton? The only Chief I’m quite shocked didn’t make it on defence would have been Trent McDuffie for me, but then people point to him getting cooked the later half of the season once Jaylen Watson went down.
Lamar won two MVPs with only 3,127 and 3,678, so yards clearly don't matter. Mahomes had more total yards than Lamar did last year, and it wasn't just a diss, but unanimous.
@@JohnClarkW Mahomes also made the pro bowl last year over Josh Allen who was SIGNIFICANTLY better, and even had a better seeding than Mahomes… but people used Josh Allen’s early season turnovers to completely discount him from any recognition, despite Allen putting up almost 50 total TD’s last season (and I’m not even a Josh Allen fan). So it’s all swings and round abouts
@@actuallyfactual006 really "significantly better"? FFS, they were about 130 yards apart last year. I think Josh earned it this year, but Mahomes did more with less than both Burrow and Lamar. Close game in the 4th quarter, who do you want? Lamar, Burrow, or Mahomes? If Patrick isn't your first pick, you are lying to yourself.
Surprised Nick didn’t make a bigger case about Trent McDuffie, dudes been graded as the NFL’s 2nd best corner behind PS2 but didn’t make the pro bowl. Not too mention he’s had pretty good stats to
Edit: Y’all saying McDuffie ain’t Pro Bowl level just wrong. He’s The 2nd highest graded corner behind PS2, He has the highest Lockdown Percentage of any Corner by 4% at 66.67%. He leads any corner since he was drafted in Forced Fumbles with 7 and is 2nd in sacks with 4.5. Players in his draft class he’s Tied for 5th with most takeaways and he’s Tied #2 all time in forced fumbles in his first 3 seasons.
Yeah he’s the big snub here, not Mahomes
He only care about Patrick 😂
They always snub Chiefs defenders the fact Sneed and Bolton didn't make a pro bowl yet is kinda baffling

McDuffie so underrated
As a kc fan I definitely think McDuffie was the biggest snub
This argument of Nick's just didn't work for me. Perhaps it's because he's unwilling/unable to see past his love for the Chiefs. Oddly, the more he talked, the less convincing he was.
I understand the overall "wins" argument completely.
But having watched the games...
The three gentlemen selected ahead of Mahomes all were more deserving.
17:00 The Chiefs, by no metric whatsoever, "rolled" thru everyone.

Mahomes has 12 fewer TDs than Allen but more picks. Burrow and Lamar have even more impressive stats. It's not a snub, he just hasn't put up Pro Bowl numbers.

His argument is more like, “when I’m anti-QB wins, people tell me I’m wrong. Now when it comes to Mahomes, everybody is anti-QB wins?”
His hypocritical arguments just has to fit his narrative. No one is saying Mahomes isn't great... he just was in the top 3 in his position this year. It's not the Legacy Pro Bowl or The Last 10-games Pro Bowl.
@oblivionpro69 it's more like, mahomes lost his #1, #2, #4, and #5 WRs and his #1 RB yet still had a top 10 scoring offense, o ly lost 1 game and was the best QB in the 4th qtr....
Also, why does NO ONE talk about the Chiefs O-Line pro bowlers?? Nick only talks receivers to make it seem like he has no help
So he isn't an obvious Pro Bowl QB this year? 😂 He beat 2 of the 3 head to head. And had better games.
I love how Nick struggled through this. Choking on his own words.
Someone give the man some water.
Yeah it's because the Chiefs were lucky luckier than any team has ever been. That's why they're 15 and 2 and that's why their players aren't being recognized as great. There is no awards for luckiest but if there was the Chiefs would sweep them.
Patrick not making it isn’t shocking. But the Chiefs defensive players getting snubbed is absolutely wild to me like they’ve been the best defense in the league and have held every team except for the Bills to under 30 points this season.
I actually am shocked Mahomes didnt make it. I know sometimes players get voted to the pro bowl just based off name. But im glad that didnt happen with him
Philly Defense better
Under 30 isn't much of a flex for a defense but yeah they've been solid.
They aren't the best defense stop it
On one hand he claims Mahomes deserves to be in the Probowl because of his record yet Detroit don't deserve to be seen as viable Superbowl prospects despite a top 3 record... overcoming injuries has to be respected.

Nick made Mahomes' case WORSE during this segment.
how?
He basically just said "give the pro bowl to the Mahomes regardless of how good his production is in that season."
Imagines a (crazy, unrealistic) hypothetical where Rodgers' 2020 season, Brady's 2007 season, and Manning's 2013 season all happened this year in the same conference, and Mahomes numbers stays the same... I guarantee Nick would argue Mahomes should be in the pro bowl with 28 TDs and 11 turnovers.
(forgive me for simplifying his argument, and giving the most unreasonable hypothetical imaginable)
This reminds me of the argument of the flag in the eagles vs chiefs because of the “moment” you should have not have thrown the flag. It’s patrick mahomes, so we need to give him a pro bowl. Josh Allen is carrying his team, Mahomes is not, and Burrow and Lamar are having their best season of their career, there’s just no argument for who should get the pro bowl, sounds like biased in the media, and honestly this sport is rigged and mahomes will win the super bowl so it really doesn’t matter, despite the argument. Nick has finally knelt to the alter of QB wins 😭
Nick spent 20 minutes making cases for why Mahomes is great (he is) and zero points for why he would be a probowler.
Winning is a team accomplishment Nick.😂 Your entire career has been based around why LeBron’s the goat because of the numbers, but when it comes to Mahomes all of a sudden the numbers don’t matter.
12:05 It’s really really simple!!!! you’re NOT going to snub Lamar or Allen & why tf would you snub the leader in yards & touchdowns in Burrow… just stop glazing mahomes nick!!
at this point im convinced chiefs gives nicky poo a royalty check for pushing his BS lol
That’s not possible for him.
And chances are mahomes is either going to be in the super bowl or the pro bowl
@ say he getting a bowl game regardless huh lol we’ll see..
nick was about to cry when brou didn't agree with him
🤣
not really, its called having different opinions.
lmao is this nick’s burner?
The way Nick just cant help himself to cut someone off he says "eh, wai-t, oh-. but" as someone talks, its rough to sit through..
Here are some facts since Nick wants to talk about the records:
- Joe Burrow has 4 losses this year where his offense scored 30 or more points
- Patrick Mahomes is 5-0 when scoring 21 or less points
- Patrick Mahomes has 6 games this year where he is responsible for no more than 1 total TD, the Chiefs are 6-0
- Joe Burrow has been sacked 44 total times this year, Patrick Mahomes has been sacked 36
- Joe Burrow scored 3 or more TDs this year in 63% of his games
The irony of Nick turning into a QB win guy in this situation is hilarious. Also, the basketball comps don't really work in this instance because Joe Burrow doesn't play on both ends of the ball. Anyone who watched any Bengals game this year has seen that Cincy's defense will almost surely tank an objectively sensational season from Burrow.
@@aaronjackson3322 males no sense bc winning is what matters. Burrow‘s team had a horrible season.
@@81suze Okay, let use winning as one argument that gives Mahomes the nod over Burrow. Give me another reason why Mahomes deserves the nod over Burrow. Also, winning isn't the most important thing to the Pro Bowl because Jayden Daniels was selected over Jalen Hurts who led the Eagles to a 12-3 record and a Division Title over Jayden.
Case closed!!!
Nice job brother.
Excellent nuanced analysis.
It is quite obvious that Mahomes has been MID this year.
@@81suze did you not even read his comment?
He makes it quite obvious that attributing the wins to Patrick is foolish, which it obviously is.
Get it through your thick skull:
It is a team sport!!!!
Wins are not a QB stat!!!!!!
@ Mahomes wins the last drives with getting them in field goal range or a TD. 3rd and 4th quarter stats mean anything to you ? Seemingly not and overall NFL stats neither. Mahomes has most TDs in less time than most QBs, so chill !
Only thing Nick did was make excuses. Zero points were made.
- Do you wanna go?
- Nah you go.
I just don't know how you justify not having Burrow, Lamar or Allen in the pro bowl. Pro bowl should only be about on field performance. Mahomes doesn't deserve a lifetime achievement award when the other 3 have just performed better.
I don't care that the chiefs will win the super bowl.
Burrow won't make the playoffs.
@madjames2392 because the chiefs are punks and resting there players with a bonus of keeping joe out. You know they thought about it? Also I'm from a time when I remember when teams rested they came out sloppy and lost first playoff game. Peyton manning colts teams. Also lions played there players. So I don't wanna hear Jack. I hope the chiefs and eagles both lose the first game. Bs on the Barkley thing.
Nick believes strongly that regular season awards should be based entirely on, and only on, post season play.
@@chrislong8559 the chiefs clinched the 1 seed and have nothing to play for why would they play their starters in a meaningless game? All you bots are repeating the samething the media says
Why is everything a personal shot at the Chiefs.
Because people hate the Chiefs logically or not people just hate
@@tyrencrafton1814basically
Bc Mc Duffie not being selected is Wild
Because their fans are sensitive like lebron
@@NoName-yu7fsyour way off my guy
I'm so confused by this comment section. Nick is so clearly right that there's a complete inconsistency when the Chiefs are 15-1 but none of their players or coaches are nominated for anything...
Burrow, Lamar, and Josh are having historically great seasons. Mahomes has less touchdowns than Bo Nix. It’s pretty simple tbh
Historically great season whilst losing 15 times the games Mahomes did. Nice
This whole segment perfectly demonstrates what a disingenuous homer Nick Wright is. When given the opportunity to make the case for Mahomes, his argument was, does anyone believe he wouldn’t have had the stats with the one of the best receivers in the league on his team.
Good job Brou for clearing that up. The media didnt snub Pat. If anything they raised him up. The fans and players didnt vote him ahead of the other 3 qbs...rightfully so.
Love the show
Nick needs to face the fact Mahomes is a civilian this year 😂
A 15-1 civilian 😂😂
@@KCUNDERBOSS3900I forgot record is a QB stat huh
A civilian with 7 game winning drives. Seems like an undercover agent disguised as civilian
@KCUNDERBOSS3900 Detroit's record despite losing all their best Defensive players?
@KCUNDERBOSS3900 according to Nick Goff is a 14-2 civilian 🤷♂️
Leaving any of the three chosen out of the Pro Bowl would be absurd. Leaving Mahomes out doesn’t seem so absurd.
@@Yepsuredid why is Kelce in?
@ honestly don’t know. Maybe the Swifties?
I don't care about Mahomes not making it, he didn't even hit 4k yards this year. Burrow, Allen, and Jackson all had better years statistically. I am miffed about McDuffie not making it
If Nick wants Mahomes to make the Pro Bowl, he should encourage the Chiefs to not "practice" when they're supposed to be "playing" as he claims they did. If Nick wants Mahomes to make the Pro Bowl, he should encourage the Chiefs to get Tyreek Hill, Jamar Chase, and Puka Nacua so that he has the weapons to throw to. If Nick wants Mahomes to make the Pro Bowl, he tell the Chiefs to not lean on the run and stop playing dominant defense. If Nick wants Mahomes to win the Super Bowl... he should shut his mouth!
Perfect timing on this upload, just got on the Amtrack lmao
If Burrow is not the MVP because of his team record then why is Mahomes not selected with his team record
The Chiefs players are interested in Super Bowl appearances, not Pro Bowl appearances.
Thanks
now that they are sitting starters the rusty chiefs gonna slip in the first game they play in the playoff that alone is enough for me to watch the playoffs
BOOM!!!!
@getbrainseeds they have done this before. This isnt their 1st #1 seed.
Every team is. But it still goes on your resume for contracts and legacy.
Kelce doing nothing all year and still getting in sums up the season pretty well
Might want to check the stats before posting. Kielce is 2nd to Bowers in receptions among TEs. 3rd overall in the AFC. 8th overall in the NFL. Down year for him, but outstanding for any other TE.
@@g.holland4862 For sure, but he got many fan votes because of who his girlfriend is. It's an example of why PB selections should not be taken that seriously. And if you look at his play, overall, he's just about done. I wouldn't be surprised if this is his last year. He's just getting old, which happens to every player.
@ receptions as a stat proves nothing other than the quarterback likes throwing it to him
@@g.holland4862 lets check the real stats bud. He’s behind 60 other TEs in yards per catch. He’s got 3 TDs all year, putting him in 16th place. His stats across the board are worse than Grey, the other TE on the team. Jonnu Smith has 18 less catches with 5 more yards than him.
Next time before saying “erm actually you should check the stats” maybe YOU should.
The loyalty from Nick is unmatched, falling on the sword for his guy 😅
Nick must not know how pro bowler voting works😂
Right? When has winning ever mattered to the pro bowl? Barry Sanders was voted in every year, I wonder why?? 😂
It's so hard for Nick to admit that Mahomes is not leading every single vote or category every single year. He had a decent year but not as good as Lamar or Josh so I'm not sure what that argument is. 15 and 1 is the whole team. Allen or Lamar with the Chiefs would still be 15 and 1.
No one takes the pro bowl seriously. It's a popularity contest.
All this talk about Burrow and Mahomes switching spots, Ya'll gonna forget the Bengals have the 29th ranked Pass blocking O line, and the 30th run block. Joe put up those numbers behind swiss cheese but ya'll continuously just talk about Chase and Higgins and how he has weapons. We've seen how bad Mahomes is behind a bad O line.
Burrow’s own backup Browning did just fine last year in his absence lmao Burrow is not 15-1 on the Chiefs without his fav targets
@@DRDubstep808 were we watching the same games? Browning was not the reason they won any of those games, he was just good enough to not lose them all. 12 touchdowns and 7 picks . He was 4-3 and almost lost to the Steelers backups in week 18. Joe Mixon is most of the reason we won those games.
You give Joe a top three o line, a top three defense, and a first ballot TE, and he’s never losing a game.
@ LMAO you must be a little challenged because you literally proved my whole point. If Browning was able to accomplish that what would an infinitely superior QB do? Slow down and T H I N K
You talking about the same HOF TE that hasn’t even been half as productive these last two seasons? He can’t even start a season without looking like garbage with the receivers he has now. A rookie and some dudes would have him getting benched mid game like he did before lmao. Let’s leave Mr Glass where he’s at hypothetical or not
@ His inability to start seasons looking like anything other than mid is exactly why they’re in the situation they’re in now. I cannot stand these at best #2 QBs being lied on like they’re actually like that lmao
Remember guys, Mahomes is the only QB in the NFL who had injuries to his supporting cast and to himself! Also he has the worst o-line in the league, which is why he just had 3 of his o-line (the entire interior) selected to the Pro Bowl and soon All-Pro like he does every year of his career. Also, when Tom Brady led the AFC in 4th quarter comebacks in a defensive NFL era in 2003 without monstrous stats throwing to Troy Brown/David Givens/Deion Branch/Bethel Johnson, he was of course a "middling QB" according to Nick Wright. Clearly the Pats went 14-2 and won the SB that year in spite of Brady, unlike this year, when Mahomes is carrying the Chiefs with his 4th quarter comebacks throwing to D-Hop (who had 1k yards last year with Will Levis), Kelce, the fastest receiver in NFL history (Worthy), and with the greatest playcaller in NFL history in a pass-happy era. Thanks to Nick for clearing up this big difference for us that Mahomes is so much more deserving of Pro Bowl status than Brady even though neither one got chosen in these years.
Pretty much said what I've been saying for years. The Chiefs D has also been elite for 2-years straight, and Spagnuolo is also one of the best D-coordinators in NFL history, along with Reid being the greatest offensive coach in NFL history, but of course it is ALL MAHOMES.
Yeah it was hilarious how he just glossed over Brady as a “middling qb” for doing the exact same thing Mahomes is doing this year
@@knowyourenemy50 3 Pro bowl Lineman and all you heard all year long was his Oline is trash because the LT wasn’t very good Mahomes fan boys are the NFL version of Lebron fans
But why did they need to come back in the fourth quarter so often? It couldn’t be because of mediocre play for the first 50 minutes while the defense holds the line? What about those times when special teams or defensive plays won the game?
@@dwilliams380 actually, the defensive and special team players that helped clinch those games, were actually Patrick Mahomes.
Every QB in history will take no Pro Bowl + SB win over Pro Bowl + playoff loss like all the other QBs drop year after year.
I said that u stealing my saying lol
This is why pro bowl isnt ALL PRO. Kelce made it from swifties when it should of been mcduffie from kc. Kansas city doesn't have a bunch of incredible players, but better coaching and team building than anyone. So this makes sense in my eyes.
Nicks argument is entirely hypothetical where as mahomes's numbers arent as good as the other guys. Thats it.
Better coaching and a great defense
They are not the only ones who vote. I doubt that a bunch of them voted anyway
Swifties didn't elect Kelce alone, there is a players and coaches component that counts as much as fan voting. Note also that he is second team, the rookie Bowers is the starter, and rightfully so. That kid is going to break all his records if he stays healthy. And one good point that Nick made about Kelce was when they needed a big play he was there. Maybe Andrews should have made it ahead of Travis but these all star votes are often a little bit stats, a little bit reputation and a little bit popularity. I don't think McDuffie was snubbed, I'm not a fan.
@ kelce isn’t even a top 10 TE this year
@@zclan4130 You are entitled to your opinion but if the coaches and players didn't think he was a pro bowl TE then he wouldn't have been chosen. Players and coaches know best. Swifties alone can't get him chosen
Being 15-1 and being a top 3 Quarterback are 2 different things. Lamar, Allen, Burrow are all better this year “statistically” not saying they’re better than Mahomes just numbers-wise. At some level we have to reward the players with the best statistical profile.
That's fair
@@vickjr98that’s not just fair that’s the way the pro bowl has always worked. It’s not the all pro team
@dwilliams380 Yeah because while Stats aren’t everything they should be acknowledged somehow. Maybe you don’t win MVP or get 1st team all-pro but like cmon. Now with that said. I don’t Mahomes makes either of the 2 all-pro teams this year. I think those go to Lamar and Allen
Nick made every point except “Mahomes played better than these 3” 😂
Chiefs are the villains now. But the pro bowl really is not that serious at this point…Mac jones was a pro bowler
It's a joke popularity contest. Many qbs don't go. Tyler Huntley went as an alternate, too. 😂
So what is Nick said about besides wins what make Mahomes better than other 3?? I am keep listening but no idea what is he trying to say?? somebody please explain to me??
Who was they going to take out ? Joe burrow, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson all are having MVP seasons
18:43 good grief Nick. So much talking but never articulating what the actual argument is 😂
Because there’s no argument for the pro bowl 😂 it’s a popularity contest fueled by stats and attractive performances
Every one of those guys has 12 or more touchdowns than Mahomes at least. Burrow has 16 more and Wildes said take him off?? Sorry the rest of the media doesn't play by Mahomes mountain rules.
@@Travis89-ob5tt They were arguing based off team success. Allen and Lamar had atleast made double digit wins and Mahomes had the best record so they were arguing that Allen’s and Lamar make it easily with their numbers and Mahomes make it because he lead the best record in the NFL
@@tpjr1I've never heard team success used as a argument for pro bowl snubs it's usually this guy has better stats than that guy. If it's close then ok maybe use team success to help your argument but it's not close at all.
Stat padding on bad teams. The NBA understands this but not the NFL???
@ I know but that’s what’s they’re arguing
Mahomes is winning games - best 4th qtr QB in the nfl, most clutch by far....sure Allen and Burrow can put up crazy garbage stats against garbage teams and fell the need to run up the score to feel better about themselves, nobody is impressed by Allen stealing 10 1 yard TDs from his RBs 😂 - what's their record against teams with a winning record again?
Joe borrow fighting for his life had me in laughing 😂😂
If you redacted the names mahomes and Purdy, and put nicks arguments last year overlapped with this, he’d be arguing himself for an hour straight
If Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow were playing on the Chiefs with Andy Reid, they'd be undefeated this year.
I think the flip side is even more convincing . Mahomes on the Bills, with the ways he’s played, would NOT be 13-3. No way
😂😂
Even Tom Brady said, "Mahomes is already better than me."
and Lamar
Mahomes didn't block those FGs, didn't make the opposing team mess up the final snap, didn't kick the doinked FGs. KCs most impressive stats are their luck and defense which is why I believe Mahomes wasn't selected.
it's why i think whoever is the first team to play chiefs in the playoffs is gonna beat the chiefs, hey are sitting players out like the other years only their team has way more older players this season compared to the others, cant wait to see him get taken out
I thought Nick wasn't a QB wins guy?
Nick don't know what he is until he hears the other side arguments
He’s not a QB wins.. he WATCHES THE GAMES.
Mahomes WINS. Joe Burrows throws up numbers and loses awesome! 👏 👏
@@milliworkz7069turns out Mahomes has never won a game without the Chiefs, and Burrow has never lost one without the bengals😂
