Your old acoustic sounds like a ukulele compared to the martin. I just bought a dx2E and once you start playing because they sounds so good you its hard to put down.
from what I understand the HPL on the DX series is alittle bit different from standard laminate on other guitars. It still sounds really good. I like the fact that I don't have to be so worried about temperature and humidity changes as much and the body of the guitar is alittle bit more tough. I am gonna but a road series here soon though. @@altemose_prime

I can't bring myself to buy a laminate guitar, even if it's made by Martin. The D-10E is all solid wood. I've never owned a solid wood guitar.
