Wow, nice guitar! Great video and I will subscribe! I order one of these today from Sweetwater, I do not have a Martin (except for a mini one) so look forward to playing it it. It should arrive on July 24th. Fingers crossed I like it! I have a Taylor Acoustic up here, a 210ce (very rare model) and I know Martins sound more "vintagey" so look forward to using it! The music you listen to on my channel is mostly the Taylor 210ce guitar. (Not including the other insturments.)
I got a D10 about 8 months back and it’s starting to open up and sound less stiff. I went 80/20 strings as I just don’t like the mid range of phosphorus bronze strings. Just had a tech sort the action to make it play easier as I will say all martins edge on medium to med/high so it’s suitable for every style. Plays amazing now and all it took was truss rod adjustment and 2mm off the saddle to drop it 1mm at 12th. Don’t hesitate go get one!
Very nice man. Good playing too. I just picked up an original martin dreadnought junior (not the new DJR10) and it's basically the same guitar (all solid with spruce top sapele back and sides) but the electronics are not as nice and it's a slightly shortened dreadnought with a 24 inch scale length
Which pick do you use ? I’ve tied so many and can’t work out which I prefer and yours sounded nice. Mainly tried Dunlop .46mm to 1mm nylon and flex versions
I have the D10e. I agree, it is the best buy from martin. I took some 3M flexible polishing paper blue 1200 I got from stewmac and ran it up and down the neck which made it smooth and slippery. Also rounded the fretboard edges a bit. It sounds killer.
I haven't played the D13E. It is probably incredible because it's Martin and so expensive. However, $1,400 is a lot (unless money is not an object for you). The D10E is amazing and fun to play.
You need to think about the finish. I tried the 10 and 13 thinking I wanted glossy. Someone pointed out the thinner the finish the quicker it’s opens up and breaths and resonate more. I chose the d10e and 8 months later it sounds so much better. The worst a guitar sounds is the day you buy it!

Awesome guitar!

Thank you! The guitar you have looks like a good guitar, as long as it plugs in electronically it will still probably sound great, since it's Martin.
you might want to take the clear protective plastic off the pick guard...it peels right off
Funny you noticed. I almost took it off before this review, but it is my friend's guitar. I could not take the satisfaction away from him...

The guitar is amazing. I might have to check out that polishing paper. I love the light and crisp feel of the guitar overall.
7:20 Soft fretboard wood? Please explain to this newbie why that's good. Wouldn't you want a very hard wood in the fretboard?
This guitar feels nice when you play it. The soft wood of the face makes it light, maneuverable, and fun to play.
what do you think of D13E compare to this , as im wrestle which one to get between that two?
I haven't played the D13E. It is probably incredible because it's Martin and so expensive. However, $1,400 is a lot (unless money is not an object for you). The D10E is amazing and fun to play.

What gauge pick you using
0.63 mm bass picks.
it's a all solid guitar right?
Yes. It is solid wood. Thanks for watching!
He sounds like Dylan
Tremendous compliment. Thanks.
