Love this series!! Keep them coming! I'm 54, my husband is 56 and I'm begging him to move to TV already!!!! I NEED to get him down to visit, I know he'd love it! He's big into music and sports.
Hi Regina! I was also reluctant to move here so I get it! Why not take a Lifestyle Tour? You get to stay in a newer home, get a golf cart, 2 bikes, and lots of discounts and freebies for a very decent price. You get assigned a realtor but there is zero sales pressure. www.thevillages.com/lifestyle-preview-plan
@@LadiesoftheLanai-yb1ns I've been trying to get him to do one! Our son goes to school in Tampa so I'm trying to sneak in a Lifestyle visit on one of our trips :) Wish me luck!!!! I NEED to get out of NY !!!!!!!
We are pretty lucky to have so much great free music available, most of it is absolutely amazing - but everyone has their own taste. As Tina says, Brian is "the music man" !
You are both terrific! As a non villager contemplating becoming a villager in the future, the one question I have is concerning the overall health care system and that there is currently only one hospital with continuous growth to the south. Can you consider asking your fellow residents some questions such as how easy it was to find doctors especially specialists or do they often have to travel outside the bubble for services. I would also be interested if anyone has utilized the hospital and what was their experience. . Thanks again, you are doing a valuable service and keep up the great work.
this is a great question and a great point. Many focus on feathering their nest before they address medical/dental relationships when it is no fun to catch yourself in an emergency situation . we will be looking more into this one,
My biggest hesitation on moving to The Villages is that I read the healthcare system isn’t sufficient and poorly rated. I wish TV bloggers would sincerely address this, but it rarely seems to be a topic. And that’s odd to me, considering the age of folks living in TV.
That was interesting, it is nice to hear the different stories of the Villagers and why people moved there. I appreciate the honesty Brian had about his dad, it really shows the human side of sometimes disappointing people when we need to make a change like he did. I am married, but I was wondering if there was ever any kind of "speed dating" event for singles? Seems like that might go over well. Anyway, thanks, Ladies, another great episode🎉
Hey Serene. It is true that sometimes friends and family are not 100% happy that we move elsewhere and Brian explains his story very frankly. Not sure about speed dating thing but anyone can create any event they want here
@@SereneBridge Brian also didn't sugarcoat about the music Although he is a self proclaimed music snob. By far, most of the music (and I'm talking the free nightly music in the squares) is great. Some of it is just ok. I'll go so far to say just about NONE of it is bad.
@@LadiesoftheLanai-yb1ns yes! That was actually the first time I have heard someone say that about the music and because he was so straight-forward and honest about everything else, one does trust his insight. We are looking forward to the different bands--they all sound great to me!
I’m from NYC and am Enjoying The Villages life style. You have plenty of time to do all your research since you’re so young :-) we look forward to having you part of the community. 💋
Wegmans is the best grocery store. You forgot to ask him the Villages best kept secret. He was a fun guy and we love Sakura too! How do I join the Hibachi Club? I didn’t know there was one. Btw we are younger too! And we move to north because house had no bond and it was completely redone, granite, new kitchen cabinets, bathrooms gutted with all tile showers and baths etc, also more golf courses up north. We love golf.
I am pretty sure Brian has a bunch of friends that he likes to go to Hibachi with. No actual club that I saw on the list of social clubs. But anyone in The Villages can start any club they would like!
We're buying in The Villages up north too. There's nothing quite like Wegmans but I've been to really good Publix's that were close. I'll need to find which Publix is the best one. And we'll also need to buy a golf cart to start with before we get into customizing.
Let us know when you find out which is the best Publix. Good luck when you do buy your golf cart. I’m sure Brian will be around if you want him to help with customization.

Great show ladies. Love to hear the residents stories, information and opinions. More please!
we are glad you enjoy it! New Ask A Villager dropping soon!
Wow, totally agree with you, Brian, about the bands. Sometimes it also seems like they play LOUDER instead of BETTER!

My son went to Rochester for graduate school and NEVER came home! I love visiting there in the summer. Nothing compares to Wegmans! Fun interview.
Thanks! I guess we need a Wegmans!! Appreciate you watching :)
Love these Ask a Villager videos. Thank you. Would like to hear answers to: “If you had to do it over, what would you do differently?”
Great suggestion!!!

Very fun and informative!! Can’t wait to get down there for all the fun!! ❤❤🎉🎉😊😊

Thanks so much!
Great interview. Love the segment. I can hear the lady in purple dress, but your guest and especially your partner were more difficult to hear.
