Gesu Bambino, La Virgine Degli Angeli... I could listen to both of those on a loop for an hour... Stunningly beautiful both.
The Gesu Bambino just Amira's offstage voice in her civvies in an empty church with her dad quietly playing the organ filmed on a phone.
La Virgine Degli Angeli performance, that fabulous men's choir, the musicians, and Amira, her voice, and in that gorgeous green dress, all stunningly blending together both in vision and sound.. couldn't be more beautiful.

Interesting that you come to the conclusion that Amira should have used more vibrato. Amira is actually known for using a lot of vibrato.
Amira was self-taught when she entered the competition "Holland's Got Talent" at the age of 9 and sang O Mio Babbino Caro. She eventually won this competition with 50% of the votes, which has probably never happened before. But since then, of course, she has had lessons. It was especially noticeable when she performed with Andrè Rieu about half a year later and sang the same song. The difference was more than obvious. Even though her audition was really good, the performance with Andrè Rieu was much better.

This isn't an opera aria, it is a film/ theatre song, so maybe she sang it in the crossover style, if you listen to her opera arias, you may find them sung ' the correct' way. If there is a standard way of doing these things.
Some other voice coaches who have watched her earlier work have commented, such as How does she know to do that? Who taught her that technique? She displayed very advanced singing techniques at an absurdly young age.
I find her a joy to listen too. No previous soprano singer has induced me to voluntarily search out and listen to opera arias.

Watch her beginning, singing Puccini, first HOLLAND’S GOT MUSIC. No lessons at 9. Use the English version. Andre Rieu taught her a bit singing the same song at 10 in front of ten thousand people. She got her mouth from Maria Callas, her lungs from being a winning distance runner. She just graduated high school as valedictorian and is on a world tour before college.

I agree with Axx1100. Amira has a natural vibrato and from the begining has been able to vary it easily at will. To use vibrato and how much and when is a very conscious decision she makes when learning and rehearsing a song. I would disagree with the person that says she learned to sing by mimicking. Amira has always sang her interpretation of what ever she sings. Her versions of "O Mio Babbino Caro", "Ave Maria" and 'Nessun Dornma" for Holland's Got Talent are not in the least mimics. She used Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli as her guides on RUclips as well as Maria Callas. Actually Amira does sing a great deal of opera, it is her first love. Listen to her "La Vergine degli Angeli" ruclips.net/video/NievOBH8Ab4/видео.html, "Nussun Dorma" ruclips.net/video/GA-IXHxZR_g/видео.html, or for a classical crossover "Your Love" ruclips.net/video/wnl-jEhnf6M/видео.html. I don't know anything about musical terminologies.. but Amira has the most beautiful vibrato.. this is a rare time I have not heard her use it a lot in any song.
Her 'When you wish upon a Star' and 'Gesu Bambino' and ' La Virgine Degli Angeli' are among my favourites.. well, of many favourites..
To me -with no musical background, I love her voice singing any opera arias... It seems to take on an additional depth or richness is the only way I can put it..
I'm glad though she stayed away from adding many new ones of them to her repertoire in her teens.. that she waited and is now only singing the odd extra one at 19.
I want to hear her fully matured voice in some years time and what it might be most suited to singing by then!

Great and honest reaction. She has had several different vocal teachers since winning Hollands Got Talent (HGT). At one time I believe she had 3 teachers covering different genres. Next year she is off to University to study music. She has recorded quite a few operatic arias as well as "crossover" stuff like this. A lot of her smaller concerts contain a mixture of many styles, as local audiences dictate. It is hard to recommend a starting point for your trip down this particular rabbit hole. You could try her original HGT audition, but I prefer her "Nessun Dorma" finale (ruclips.net/video/r8KrpwqxE4g/видео.html) which was quite something for a 9 year old. A personal favourite is her family performing at the local church Christmas concert with the Gomez "Ave Maria" (ruclips.net/video/n66udAMmCDM/видео.html). Her mother on the recorder and brother on the violin got a bit "flustered" and she compensated automatically. Enjoy!

Amira is not imitating anyone, she absolutely is herself, always, not sounding at all like any ordinary soprano. She has not study any specific genre, she just sings what she likes in her own style and interprets her own way, often with a proven professional artist as mentor.
The one who mentored her for this performance actually was her subpar(they always are) school music teacher and it's her who should be addressed first.
Amira is not a trained opera singer or trained anything, but she can sing opera in legit professional opera style, but then she tends to sound like any other trained soprano and she gets boring the same way.
Formal teaching, with typical subpar music school teacher, that can learn her nothing, is the worst thing she can go into and will destroy her to the ordinary.
Her adult voice fits best for music style, but she still has to keep true to herself and preserve her own style, always.
For a spinning vibrato check her I Feel Pretty (her slow-true--opera vibrato, imo, is awful, as trained opera singers therefore in general are).
To get a full grip on Amira is difficult because her performances are of very different qualities so it easy to go wrong on her. Sometimes she is truly mediocre-bad and others brilliant world class like no one else.

I'm sorry , but Amira IS an opera singer! How can you pass your glib, arbitrary judgment so nonchalantly and harshly by only hearing her sing one medley from a movie of songs which were not intended to be opera to begin with!? You need to listen to a variety of songs from her matchless repertoire before coming to your absurd conclusions. Yes, she does sing classical crossover, also Christian songs, but she does many authentic OPERA songs as well. After hearing them (which I hope you will), if you still can't see that (and that she's NOT a mimic but the real deal prodigy), then maybe you yourself should take more lesssons. And don't worry about any further critiques from me -- I won't be back.

John, she is not an opera singer..
She has not chosen that profession..
Maybe she will in the future if her voice is suitable and she wants that.
At the moment though she sings a mix of all sorts, religious ( she has a strong Christian faith and she has said many times that her voice is a gift from God to do good with), and she has always sung in church concerts of hymns, her teen years she seemed to love songs j from musicals and films, and always there in the mix were the opera arias.. but the latter does not mean that she will choose the profession of opera singer..
Her mixed repertoire to date has suited her fundraising activities for Gelukskinders - her foundation that builds the playgrounds in deprived townships near her home - and means she can sing to a variety of audiences.
She's too young and has 4 years of university ahead of her before maybe even she knows how she will choose to make a living and whether that will be all by her singing or mixed with other means of earning a living.
She hasn't pursued fame for itself. Obviously her voice and her popularity has given her options but she had a very normal child and teen life and she has used her voice for raising funds for her passion of building and maintaining the playgrounds and now the netball for the teenagers.
My gut feeling about her is that she loves the variety.. my favourite is still her 'opera' voice singing the arias.. but a close second is everything else she sings 😂

@@shooster5884 You are completely wrong. As johnbattles say "Amira IS an opera singer" is entirely correct.
First you got it all wrong that opera singer is a profession, it 100% isn't. Where did you get that from?.
If you check Amira YT-page she herself writes she is an Opera Singer and that is something you can't argue about. Quote "Amira | Opera & Operatic Singer"

@@yogajedi3337 Then, I stand corrected if she has sung in an opera. I don't recall her mentioning any opera that she sang in.. Do you know which one it was?
I do recall her saying that she would like to sing in one one day.
The definition of 'opera singer' in Google is 'a person who sings in operas'.
Regardless of what is written on Amira's page I don't think she fits that definition so I don't know why it is written there.

Diana Ankudinova has released a new song! There are not enough words to describe the feeling of flight that this song gives.

Sorry you might be a pro, but her voice is better to me than the note you sang. I am not sure I want you again. You have the right to your opinion and so do I .

I think Amira would appreciate this person's reaction.
The stage charisma... I was surprised at that alright, but I'm keeping in mind that this IS the only performance she has watched... Not the Nessum Dorma while walking down stairs and crossing the stage, not the Ave Maria Caccini - the magical one in the church ..nor the other Ave Maria from Iceland.. nor the Andre Rieu O Mio Babbino Caro.. the Flower duet with Corlea... the Nella Fantasia.. etc etc..
I have always found Amira's stage presence, her calmness on stage, riveting.
Maybe the next first one she should listen to is Amira's raw audition for Holland's got talent back in 2013 aged 9, which to me gives the sense of who Amira is and how she relates to her music in a nutshell.. she never really changed.. she sings still what she wants to sing and has done through her teens.. she follows her own passion but with respect for her talent and directed by her religious faith.

@@crrissa_the_cyberbard I've been following Amira now for nine years; and I'm a moderator on her Fans Group site. The argument about what constitutes an "Opera singer" has been going on ever since Amira's audition in 2013 - There is far too much heat here, and very little light. When Amira called herself an "Opera singer" she was a very young girl - and I think what she meant was that she liked singing operatic arias. She chose to do so for her audition, because she did not want to be seen to be like the vast majority of popular singers. She sang two arias from Puccini, and the Bach/Gounod "Ave Maria". To me, an "Opera singer" is somebody who performs in an opera company. Not so long ago, it also meant a singer who had developed their voice to the point where they could put out sufficient volume to be heard without amplification in a typical opera house - i.e. a 400 year old technology (though I suspect that some cheating is starting to occur, in the interests of preserving people's voices) - though Amira had some "squillo" back in 2014, when she sang with Andre Rieu. There is no single concise word in the English language for somebody who sings an operatic aria "in concert" - "Classical crossover" really is too loose a term for what Amira does. Amira stated about 3 years ago that she was a "Crossover Singer", and therefore there is no justification for the nonsense I see in many comments here. Crissa could not be aware of that, but I hope she will continue to explore Amira's work.
