Three Islands in Three Days: Staffa

- While on holiday in Mull with a reasonably good weather forecast I decided to visit 3 islands off its shore.
Staffa was the third island I visited. It had been on my bucket list for a while especially a visit to Fingal’s cave. I had a magical afternoon exploring some of the island. I used Staffa trips which sails from Iona calling at Fionnphort en route there & back.

I went to Staffa many years ago. It really is a magical place.
@@peterholmes3011 it is, access to the cave was actually much better than I thought. Loved it. 👍
Great video! Brought back some memories from visiting as a boy! Thanks for sharing 😊
@@outdoorsdj You’re welcome, thanks so much for watching. 👍

@@KhurshidsChannel You’re welcome. Thank you for watching. 👍
That was amazing footage and Brora was such a good girl.
And to follow dinner - this looks like a perfect day.
@@mandyinabudhabi it was Mandy. Thanks for watching. 🙏
That was great, we were also there earlier this year and couldn't take our dog Keira past the sign.
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot Thank you. 🙏 I was just grateful I could take Brora at all. Dogs aren’t allowed on some other boat trips. 👍
Wow what an amazing wee adventure Linda would love to go out there thanks for sharing your adventure 😊
@@davidcalder8210 you’re welcome David. You should definitely go, it’s magical. Thanks for watching. 🙏

Cheers
Dave
@@DAoutdoors thank you Dave. You’re very welcome. 👍
Stunning views of the cave. Had no idea you could actually go that close to it. Very informative narrative as well - well done for recording that!
@@glenblaven Thanks Glen, it was a magical day. 🙏
Excellent Vid, well worth watching thoroughly enjoyed your photography. Keep up the good work.
@@ianscotty1931 Thank you Ian, much appreciated. 🙏
We stayed on Mull in June and visited Staffa and Lunga. Its a shame we missed you as would have been nice to meet you and Brora. I always enjoy your videos. Gives us ideas for places to visit 😊
Aww, thank you. I’ve been to Mull a few times but really enjoyed this visit. So glad I visited Staffa. Thanks for watching. 👍
another great video Linda.
@@andrewmatley7688 thank you Andrew. 👍
Love these vlogs Linda, I am definitely planning a trip to mull as some point and your guided vlogs are so helpful. Also loved that you let us listen to the boat commentary so thank you for including that 😊. Wow that’s some walk to the cave, well done on heading there, I would be very nervous but i suppose once to start you just have to keep going and it was so worth it. 😊 . Also with you there on the sea sick front used to go in the boat to Shetland each year that was a 12 hour journey so Stugeron was needed glad to know you were okay. Brora was so good but like you said understand why they can’t have dogs near the puffins. Shame someone couldn’t have held him for you. He really is the best companion. You have really have been to some incredible places ❤.
Thank you so much Angie, she’s bird mad so I totally understand the rules. The rocks on the way to the cave were dry on my visit but I imagine it would be slippy if wet. The handrail runs right along and into the cave. Wear grippy shoes if you go. Thanks so much for watching. 👍
Great vlog, you got some fantastic footage of Fingals cave. New subscriber here, really enjoying your videos. 🙂
@@gpaterson5686 thank you so much, glad you’re enjoying the vlogs. 🙏
How cool would this be timed with a visit to The Mendelssohn on Mull Festival ( held every year in the month of September)
@@VicTor-up9xg yes, it certainly would. Bet the boat trips will be booked up for that event. Thanks for watching. 👍
