Choso is a special grade with one of the major clans hereditary techniques, ofc he can beat an inexperienced Yuji, even at a disadvantage. He has gotten better since S1, since that Special grade in the juvenile detention center wiped the floor with him instantly, but still not to that level.
Which makes it an even ground on fighting experience, yes. But coming to war grounds with a rifle will still make you win against someone attacking you with knives. This is literally what made him win, having a technique, and a strong one at that, against someone who has none.
Not a spoiler, but just in case yall forgot since every other reactor seemed to forget, Sukuna does not care at ALL about Yuji. He will ACTUALLY let Yuji die and not care one bit, because he will survive so long as there are other Fingers that exist. So keep that in mind. Also, the girls came after Choso already left. They didnt know Yuji was there until they saw him on the ground, hence the "There he is". The girls were locked up because the villagers thought they were responsible for the Curses in the village because the girls are Sorcerers. That wasnt the case as Geto proved & explained, it was the villagers negativity that created the Curses that ended up causing the mischief/terror in the village. Nothing was mentioned of the Girl's abilities. In the movie, we're shown they had killed a bunch of the assistant supervisors with their techniques, but we dont actually see what they are. All they had out was a cellphone and some rope to hang people with.
Technically Sukuna should care because like Megumi said in the 1st ep, even if one consumes the finger, there is only one in a million chance for Sukuna to get manifested. Other curses ate Sukuna's fingers and simply just powered up without any issues involving Sukuna. So Yuuji is obviously special. Also wasn't it said in the 2nd ep that when Yuuji gets executed after consuming the fingers, the curse will die along with him? So Sukuna needs to keep him alive if only for himself
Honestly any of the students against the special grades alone would be a corpse. This was only close because of Yuji's determination and Mechamaru's help.

JJK doesn't just give you that solid background and consequence to the fight, it doesn't just give you those twists that really make you doubt what is going to happen, it doesn't just give you those flashy moments, it also gives you straight hands. Perfect example of why jjk fights are so good. They killed this episode.

We already know the curse techniques of the girls, they were on the movie. One allows her to manipulate subjects captured in a picture (like, physically move them) and the other girl can hang people with a rope and a stuffed toy. So, the false memory is not caused by anyone in particular, it will make sense later on. 👀 Choso is an amazing character and they did this fight so much justice. Nice reaction and appreciation for the cinematography.
the choreography, the music video lighting (red and blue) to mirror/represent each other and the absolute raw hand-to-hand combat by Yuji and Choso made this fight!
Fantastic vid! Love yalls reactions. Just a fun heads up! It was easy to miss but the narrator said that Choso's piercing blood when fired exceeds the speed of sound. Meaning yuji is dodging at or around mach 1. That whole fight to a onlooker would have just been choso firing at a blur. And yall were right choso was essentially doping himself in the fist fight using Red Scale technique, we saw one of the students use it against megumi in season 1. Keep up the great work and im looking forward to the next vid!
The elevator door closing was for artistic purposes, there wasn't anyone there. It was good that you remembered the elevators being mentioned but in this case it was just the Mappa animators going hard with the cinematography.

This is one of my favorite fights in the manga because it has such a great setup and locale, both characters with sympathetic motives, and turns into a straight up brawl with them slamming each other into various areas of the bathroom. Both characters show conviction (and in Yuji's case growth from season 1 where he gave up during a similar situation), and it ends with Yuji trying to make an outplay only to be outplayed himself. Most JJK fights weight heavily towards the "magic" element of the world, but this one leans heavily towards the martial arts element (at least once they get in the bathroom) and is rather unique because of it. Really couldn't have asked for more in the adaption, and I'm glad this fight got an episode to itself and they assembled the talent that they did for it.
I would have been annoyed at Choso for falling for that light weight taunting, but the fact that Choso walked into the trap and still took care of business makes it forgivable.
Without saying any spoilers all I can say is sukuna has nothing to do with choso decision of not killing itadori and all the questions that you have will be answer eventually
Yeaaaaa a lot of people forget Sukuna don't need Yuji to live and he hates him with a passion lol the first and I think last time he was ever in control he ripped Yuji's heart out and started folding Megumi like laundry. As long as his fingers out there in the world he gone be alright regardless; all it take is for someone or some curse to eat one. What's funny about the whole Yuji being one of Choso's brothers is that it could actually be true. We know nothing about Yuji or his family other than his grandpa who died in the first episode, this man has been superhuman strong even before he knew about curses or anything he literally launched a shotput like it was a baseball so hard it bent a soccer goal, ran so fast he could keep up with a speeding car, even 2 episodes ago he casually picked up a car and tossed it like nothing; every character has commented on his freakish physical strength and capabilities. And probably most important is the fact that he can retain control on his body with Sukuna inside of him which just shouldn't be possible yet somehow it is and we have no idea why
Choso is my favorite character from the manga, and Yuji was my favorite character leading into this arc. Seeing the two of them fight in the anime is amazing, especially since Mappa KNEW this is one of the top 2 fights in the arc and had to dump a lot of budget into it. To explain a few things in the episode: Choso's blood dissolves more easily in water because Blood Manipulators typically turn off the coagulation of blood (where it hardens and forms scabs and such) in order to use the ability more effectively. And on top of that, when water is absorbed by red blood cells, it forces them to expand and burst through the cell walls. These two things are a major problem for blood manipulation. The reason that Choso's hardened blood remained during the last round was because it was under his skin. THROMBOSIS is where bloodclots form in the veins and arteries, blocking your blood vessels and are typically fatal and would require amputation to survive. Choso hardening his blood risks the rest of the blood in his body hardening, so it could kill him if he's not careful. Sukuna did nothing to help Yuji. The anime covers his face for some weird reason, but it was apparent in the manga that Sukuna had a confused expression when he realized Choso wasn't going for the kill. Choso's memory bit has something to do with him being a Cursed Womb: Death Painting. Nobody attacked him after the fight with Yuji. Can't wait for the rest of the arc to be animated though. Everything from here on is top tier.

oh this reaction was refreshing. Choso is such a cool character! My second favorite, actually (can't reach Nanami like that, haha). He is alive for 4 months AT MOST.. biologically-wise. Chronologically he's much older. It was stated in s1. That's why he's so good with Blood Manipulation but not with the actual combat. Tho he is really creative and a quick learner. Even then, he already does this much damage..Imagine if he had more experience. He would destroy Yuji for sure.. It's funny how both saw his blood dissolve and they had no idea why but went with it xD (I would also try to explode the blood in people's face any chance given. I'm glad Choso actually did it, lol). You can see him creating blood armor on his arm again which was in matter of a second or two. Him guarding his side Yuji hit makes sense - he literally saw it coming at him. Yuji put up a great fight for someone who isn't even grade 1 and fought special grade 1v1. Absolutely artistic episode...
You are overthinking the last scene lol. The memories have nothing to do with the girls (or with Sukuna either). And the girls came to Yuji after Choso left. They didn't drag Yuji into the elevator. There was nobody there. The elevator closing was just a "bringing the curtain down" symbolism to end the episode. The memories will later be explained. You're meant to be confused, don't worry.
Adorkable on that full mandela affect 😂😂😂😂 we don't know what the cursed techniques of the twins nor were they shown when geto got to the village. The movie showed a glimpse of them but not really got into it, probably we'll see them in the upcoming episodes.
I think they meant the twins being shown as kids in the cage when Geto made his decision to snap and wash the entire village in the hidden inventory arc earlier this season.

As for during hidden inventory geto confirmed that the things the villagers were blaming on the twins were due to curses and them themselves will all that hate and malice. I thought the curse that manifested and told the twins it's gonna be okay was geto's curse manipulation using one of his curses to reassure them.

Director nasty, The only reason Choso looked like he was a wash and didn't go all out against Gojo was because a., he was unmotivated, and b., the plan was to stall Gojo, not kill him, therefore that's why Choso didn't look like that much of a problem. yeah choso was like that kid in the class who does the bare minimum to pass and stay of the radar but has the potential to do more. and he was successful too, gojo looked at him and said "yeah he can wait, let me handle these two first" and he did enough to not be kicked out of geto's crew

Actually I think yuji was the one who caused the memories. He is not really normal. His blood mixing with choso's looked like the the catalyst for that caused choso to freak out. I believe that was what the manga stated anyway because geto's children were not present to cause the effect on choso. If you think about it that would explain why sukuna had his interest peaked even slightly for the time that he did show himself in itadori's mind. I believe that yuji is already developing his own weird form of brainwashing curse technique. Geto's children are able to make people see monster's, yes but in choso's case it was a fond fabricated memory similar to the what happened to todo when he and Itadori fought. I could be wrong but I am reading the manga currently and that does seem to be something that could happen. Especially when Yuji is in danger of dying: like he was at the sister school event with the Kyoto jjk students, and especially while fighting todo. it just seemed like todo did it to himself because he was already a bit weird to begin with. I mean his catalyst for beating your ass starts with your taste in women being boring too him. So, yeah....Also we got to see where todo got that habit form. He is alive for 4 months AT MOST.. biologically-wise. Chronologically he's much older. It was stated in s1. That's why he's so good with Blood Manipulation but not with the actual combat. Tho he is really creative and a quick learner. Even then, he already does this much damage..Imagine if he had more experience. He would destroy Yuji for sure..
It's funny how both saw his blood dissolve and they had no idea why but went with it xD (I would also try to explode the blood in people's face any chance given. I'm glad Choso actually did it, lol).
You can see him creating blood armor on his arm again which was in matter of a second or two. Him guarding his side Yuji hit makes sense - he literally saw it coming at him.
Yuji put up a great fight for someone who isn't even grade 1 and fought special grade 1v1. Absolutely artistic episode...

You are overthinking the last scene lol. The memories have nothing to do with the girls (or with Sukuna either). And the girls came to Yuji after Choso left. They didn't drag Yuji into the elevator. There was nobody there. The elevator closing was just a "bringing the curtain down" symbolism to end the episode. The memories will later be explained. You're meant to be confused, don't worry.
Adorkable on that full mandela affect 😂😂😂😂 we don't know what the cursed techniques of the twins nor were they shown when geto got to the village. The movie showed a glimpse of them but not really got into it, probably we'll see them in the upcoming episodes.
I think they meant the twins being shown as kids in the cage when Geto made his decision to snap and wash the entire village in the hidden inventory arc earlier this season.

Cuz during the parade of hundred demons, the blonde twin was holding her phone and black haired twin had a noose that she hanged people/(assistant supervisors?) and they were about to do something to ijichi but it got interrupted. As for during hidden inventory geto confirmed that the things the villagers were blaming on the twins were due to curses and them themselves will all that hate and malice. I thought the curse that manifested and told the twins it's gonna be okay was geto's curse manipulation using one of his curses to reassure them.

Director nasty, The only reason Choso looked like he was a wash and didn't go all out against Gojo was because a., he was unmotivated, and b., the plan was to stall Gojo, not kill him, therefore that's why Choso didn't look like that much of a problem. It was kind of clear that he was holding back what he was really capable of. You seriously didn't see that coming? 🤨
Also, one more thing, I don't know how or why, and no it's not Sukuna's doing if that's what you're thinking it is, but these non-existent memories may have confirmed one thing, and it's that Itadori and Choso might be secret brothers. 🤯
yeah choso was like that kid in the class who does the bare minimum to pass and stay of the radar but has the potential to do more. and he was successful too, gojo looked at him and said "yeah he can wait, let me handle these two first" and he did enough to not be kicked out of geto's crew
Adorkables suggestion about making Choso run out of blood. He quite literally has an infinite store of it as long as he has cursed energy as he basically converts it into blood. So he was not going to run out anytime soon.

He was asked in an interview what made him decide to create gojo as a character, and gege said he wanted a character that was very easily identifiable as the strongest character, and later on that happened to be gojo. He just hates him cuz he hates him lol, doesn't help that even tho he knows he's hard to write around, he stills created it himself. Also the memory manipulation thing being his ct or not was confirmed by him, I'm not gonna say if it actually is a ct just in case you don't want spoilers

Actually I think yuji was the one who caused the memories. He is not really normal. His blood mixing with choso's looked like the the catalyst for that caused choso to freak out. I believe that was what the manga stated anyway because geto's children were not present to cause the effect on choso. If you think about it that would explain why sukuna had his interest peaked even slightly for the time that he did show himself in itadori's mind. I believe that yuji is already developing his own weird form of brainwashing curse technique. Geto's children are able to make people see monster's, yes but in choso's case it was a fond fabricated memory similar to the what happened to todo when he and Itadori fought. I could be wrong but I am reading the manga currently and that does seem to be something that could happen. Especially when Yuji is in danger of dying: like he was at the sister school event with the Kyoto jjk students, and especially while fighting todo. it just seemed like todo did it to himself because he was already a bit weird to begin with. I mean his catalyst for beating your ass starts with your taste in women being boring too him. So, yeah....Also we got to see where todo got that habit form. We saw his teacher in the beginning part of this season!
