But in doing that, he just made a fuckin WEAPON out of him, and I don’t think he anticipated that. He thought Itadori would react the same way he does when he was facing death - crying begging for his life. But instead Itadori reacts the opposite and just loses his morals when it comes to cursed spirits, and accepts his role in the eternal battle. Mahito underestimated the resolve of Yuji.

When they zoomed on Todo's necklace slowly falling in slow motion I thought it was going to be like the classic Rock Lee scene where he takes the weights off, the thing would smash the ground and we're going to learn Todo was holding back for a cursed pact or smt. Mahito was so horrified because he really saw himself in Itadori. He saw the same cold indifference he feels towards human life, but reflected towards curses. In the same way that Mahito kills humans because it's his nature, Yuji has realised his life's purpose is to just kill curses, with no other reason then for the sake of killing them. Hence why he sees himself as just a cog in the great machine, with the simple function of ending the lives of curses. Great reaction and loved your thoughts on this episode because you guys, especially RockLee just understood the "I'm You." scene so well.

Todo got his left hand transfigured and he had to cut it off to not be damaged further and he clapped with mahito's hand and destroyed his remaining arm. Keep in mind idle transfiguration damaged the soul so it can't be healed, regardless even tho todo's career as a jujutsu sorcerer is done, he was a factor in taking down the curse that had the potential to grow to be sukuna/gojo level...heck even beyond that. Mahito truly had unlimited potential bro is only 6/7 months old and was this much of a problem.
From my understanding Mahito being a curse representing all negativity towards humans, he is a manifestation of all human potential, i.e anytime a human accomplishes a feat he could do (like Gojo and 0.2 expansion and any other moves he stole)

Takada chan's sequence lol, gotta love Todo's imagination and the song… The silence with just the howling of the wind in a snowscape. In the manga, Yuji's eye is shown as a wolf's, but here they've depicted him as the scarred alpha of a pack: he's not a lone wolf...he's got allies...🥹
Something about the way Itadori stared down Mahito in this episode, it reminds me of the way Sukuna stares down at any enemy he's had to deal with that he considered unworthy. An apathetic, almost *bored* stare.

Both characters are entertaining in their own right but not wanting to face the consequences of their own actions😂💀
The only problem i have with this episode is that anime left out the explanation of why mahito removed his armor and that yuji used divirgent fist to create the time lag on purpose to disrupt mahito last attack so he could get the opening to land the finishing blow
Todo was already my favorite character by far, but somehow this episode made me like him even more. I hope everyone has a brother half as awesome as the pineapple head💪
I love the whole “I am you” speech because Itadori is not only acknowledging the similarities, but also saying he’ll be just like Mahito. No more hesitation; he wants to kill curses as brutally and swiftly as Mahito has done to humans. In a way, he’s adopting the brutality of both Mahito and Sukuna. Itadori looks so much like Sukuna in this episode from the slicked back hair, the shadowed face with the black flashing background, holding his arms out after beating his knee like Sukuna does, etc. That was definitely intentional. I also like to believe Sukuna’s look to Mahito is condescending. Almost like he’s saying, “You’re not ready for this monster you created.” It’s not far fetched to say that he can see Itadori’s strength by being in his body from observing his cursed energy. Similar to how he sees Megumi’s hidden strength before he even knew of Mahoraga. Also, that time lag moment was explained in the manga that Yuji learned how to time his Divergent fist’s second impact in that moment. On top of being of being so focused that he was able to release a Black Flash at will, Yuji has gone through some crazy growth this arc.

Mahito did break Yuji. It probably doesn’t need to be said, but that whole time he was walking down Mahito, it wasn’t just because Yuji was exhausted. He was savoring that moment. Enjoying the terror in Mahito’s face. The saying goes that if you’re staring down the barrel of a gun, you best hope that it’s a cruel person holding it, because they’ll draw it out to savor your fear, while a good person will just pull the trigger and be done with it. As far as Mahito is concerned, Yuji has become the face of cruelty.
btw there is an easter egg, right before mahito enters sukuna’s innate domain we see sukuna’s four eyes,make sure to slow the anime speed down extremely during the 4 eyes moment and you’ll see sukuna’s true form face.
Yuji’s been the type of guy to never curse anyone. Exorcising was just a means to saving others. Yet we see Yuji, damning Mahito’s soul to be killed by his hand for as long as he lives and however many times Mahito may ressurect. Yuji became a curse to Mahito’s existence.
Todo faking a netero "a prayer comes from the heart" is crazy. The end with geto give me chills. Geto can do curse manipulation, the thought him saving mahito can possibly mean he control mahito now is f-ing scary
22:50 I don't think it's a spoiler, it's just something i tought with what we know until now. I think the problem is that, unless he find another to use his technique, Todo need to clap his hands. He lost one and the skin of the second one but the true problem is that his soul got damaged by Mahito's technique. So i think that even if someone heals is hands, i don't know if his technique will be back too.

Absolute peak cinema....Imagine episode 1 yuji to now, This man really went through whole character development.... I can talk about yuji's character for days, peak writing easily one of the best shounen mc's and best episode.
The animators really showed Todo a lot of love the past 2 episodes, as all of that extra flashy stuff with his attacks wasn't in the manga, so they went above and beyond to make Todo's presence in the arc extra special. Manga spoilers regarding Todo: Unfortunately, this is the last time we've seen or heard about him in the series so far to date... so Director maybe disappointed with that.

He lost one and the skin of the second one but the true problem is that his soul got damaged by Mahito's technique. So i think that even if someone heals is hands, i don't know if his technique will be back too.
