Something interesting to note about the twins' interaction with Sukuna was their decision to hold leverage over him. You guys discussed how that was a bad move (and it was) but this parallels their interaction with Fake-Geto in episode 10. Fake-Geto said how they should have made a pact with him to guarantee they'd get Geto's body back, but because they didn't it insinuates that they didn't know about forging pacts with other sorcerers. It leads to the idea that the girls were sheltered by Geto, and he never taught them sorcerer stuff like a pact because they would never need to make one if he was around for them. Circling back to their interactions with Fake-Geto and Sukuna, the girls were just naive and didn't know better. Desperate to do anything to finally lay Geto to rest.
So they tried to make a pact because “Geto” told them to do that when interacting with sorcerers, but because it was Sukuna they were dealing with, trying to do so was their mistake.
yes! And let me be more specific, i believe the pact is called a "binding vow" which is a contract bound with cursed energy. Like what Mechamaru did with Mahito. Presumably, the girls didn't know how to make one and decided to just use leverage over Sukuna. Even if they DID know how to, it still would have been bad for them bc why would Sukuna willingly make a binding vow with them?
I dont think they were sheltered at all because they were there at the night parade of 100 demons. So they know about most sorcerer stuff. He wouldnt shelter them and then allow them to fight on their own.
They definitely were out on the battlefield in JJK 0.
To make Geto's vision a reality, he knew violence was inevitable and thus he let them be at the night parade of 100 demons (even then they were seen only taking out auxiliary managers). In short, the girls were allowed to work towards Geto's goal but were not taught "unnecessary" things like binding vows because there was no need to. In Geto's utopia the only sorcerers around were the ones that helped his vision come true, the girls wouldn't need to be making deals with anyone Geto couldn't deal with himself. I would say that's a form of sheltering. Being sheltered is not exclusive to not being allowed to go out or use their cursed techniques; something Geto valued as evidence they were jujutsu sorcerers. OF COURSE, this is all theoretical so take it with a grain of salt ig
Well you guys also have to remember that Sukuna himself is extremely interested in Megumi and made it seem as though Megumi was not using his full potential. So for Toji to pick Megumi it could be because of that same potential or it could be the son aspect. You guys will see in the anime. But don’t forget

What I love about this fight (apart from daddy Toji who was INCREDIBLE), is that Maki was face to face with her own potential and she was SHOOK... before Jogo got to her 😭

Jogo did say that he doesn't care if he dies as long as they can bring about the age of curses which he believes Sukuna will bring about just by being alive. So he's definitely gonna try it with Sukuna, he forfeited his life when this plan began
And when you throw in the fact that Jogo lost two of his closest friends back to back, only having Mahito and "Geto" left, and the visible sadness in his eyes as he avenged Dagon, mans is depressed and he's going into the fight knowing "there's a big chance I'm going to lose, but I'll reincarnate with my closest friends 100 years from now, let's do this." You can visibly see his survival instinct and survivors guilt playing a tug of war with eachother from the time he loses half of his head kneeling to him considering Sukuna's duel
@@ayejaymanofficial I wouldn’t say he’s depressed or has survivors guilt, I’d say it’s more of a mild disappointment, the curses view death differently than humans, it’s more like an inconvenience for them then a major problem, as long as curses are in the place of humans in 100 years they don’t care what happens to themselves.
I think megumi is the strongest in the room since he has some hidden potential which is why Sakuna is so interested in Megumi. “Except one” sakuna mentioned probably Megumi too

You could easily just justify it was him literally being in the best shape of the crew at the moment.
Remember, Megumi has an ultimate attack that he has threatened a couple times by starting the incantation ("Sacred Treasure swing..."), but hasn't used. All we know about it right now is that it is powerful enough to impress Sukuna at their first meeting, and that it's a kamikaze ability.

Clarification: Toji didn't recognize Megumi. He doesn't know he is his son or know anything about him. To him, they were just a bunch of sorcerers. He picked Megumi because he deemed him the strongest there (or the one with the most potential at least). There is nothing more to it than that. Focusing purely on their attributes, out of Megumi, Maki, Nanami and Naobito (who is obviously well past his prime... he is 71 years old man after all), Megumi has BY FAR the biggest potential. This is not really a spoiler as it was hinted in Season 1 when he fought Kamo: Megumi's power (the Ten Shadows technique) is the most powerful hereditary technique of the Zenin clan. If someone born with it ever manages to master it (by that I mean succeed in taming all 10 Shikigami), that person would likely be as strong as Gojo. But Megumi is young and isn't there yet. We'll see if one day, he manages to do so (manga readers, I know... Don't comment anything about the plot below).
Remember, Sukuna's comments about Megumi in Season 1 or Gojo saying he has as much potential as Yuji (who Gojo claimed had the potential to be on par with him) and that Megumi's problem was just his mindset. There is also that technique of his that was teased many times in Season 1. If the two strongest characters in the show rate him this high, it must be for a reason.

This episode made it clear how crucial gojo was to the jujutsu society
they didnt go over it in the anime but the old man was slower do to losing his arm since it threw off his balance and his ability requires exact precision .

If you ever find yourself in a situation where somebody says "If you hit me even once, I'll ______" you do NOT take that deal. The only possible outcome for that is an absolute ass-beating.
Also, yeah, Gojo and Sukuna are just built different. They make terrifying enemies like Jogo look pathetic by comparison, and so it's kinda easy to not see Jogo as a serious threat.

I think toji may have taken megumi out because megumi had a domain open, it's been said during Season 1 that domains are like the real ultimate stage of jujutsu, megumi can open his domain at 15yo so he must be something. Also remember that the Shadow technic is the strongest Zen'in technic, just as blood manipulation is the strongest Kamo technic. In season 1 that's what megumis flashback with Gojo (when Gojo says he can be one of the strongest but he just doesn't know how to act) was trying to say, megumi is one of the strongest new gen with great accomplishment but always try to k-himself instead of going crazy at the stake of probably loosing his life ( he is always about to die so he can win instead of risking death for the the win)

Guaranteed hits on domains are pretty much automated systems on domains that causes the domain's users attacks to lock in on the target's curse energy. However Toji doesn't have curse energy due to Heavenly Restriction so his guaranteed hit effect couldn't lock-on to him. They'll need to target them *manually* with their attacks if they want to hit those with Heavenly Restriction like Toji that have no curse energy. And manually targeting Toji with his insane speed is almost impossible.
Dagon did not seem to have any knowledge to what Heavenly Restriction is and he underestimated Toji just because he has no curse energy which was his downfall.
I don't get why reactors (not you guys) doubt Jogo so much, even after they realize that fighting with Gojo made him look weaker they still think he can't land a hit on Sukuna (He probably can't but there was no limits defined at all, maybe a flying severed hand touching Sukuna will do it, we know nothing so far, a lot of things to consider/imagine).

As opposed to simply looking and seeing that Naobito was bitten up and missing an arm, Nanami was bitten up and missing an eye, and Maki was also bitten and beaten up. Megumi is at the very least comparable to Nanami by this point so with the other 3 being so beat up, it makes sense Toji would chase down Megumi.
@@raaraa5058 there are zero statements because he didn't get to use them. Nanami was never a contender. The only people in question were Naobito and Megumi. Naobito wouldn't be a problem for Toji since his heavenly restriction nullifies projection sorcery due to it already helping Toji predict his movements. So the only one who could actually fight him the longest was Megumi

@@SolidSnake240 he was talking about how fast toji is lol this was clear in the manga but the anime cut some scenes and the translation also isn't the best. megumi was talking about how toji might be faster than 3 fingers sukuna, go read the manga I believe it was chapter 111. and again this is only based on megumi's experience fighting against 3 fingers sukuna. 15 fingers sukuna is an entirely different beast and would low diff toji as soon as he opened his domain

Toji went to megumi because megumi is the strongest or at last has the strongest potential. Hes the one with the 10 shadows technique. that technique to the zenin clan is what the 6 eyes is to the gojo clan. And toji isnt fighting based off energy hes fighting based off whos the strongest. And why wouldnt megumi be the stongest in that room? He the only one ther who has acheived domain expansion. Interms of power hes strongest but naobito and nanami just have wayy more experience so they just seem stronger.
