In season one we learned about heavenly pacts they are forced Onto you at birth and you have no say Maki has a heavenly pact Like Toji where she has insane physical Prowess but no cursed energy and mechamaru also has a heavenly pact but the opposite where he has a terrible body but insane cursed energy this was all explained so it’s not a spoiler just reminding if you forgot

Toji is called the Sorcerer Killer for a reason lmao, and saying he was a bit rusty, meaning he could end Gojo faster, he flexed in that fight lmao, Humbled Gojo and completed his Mission, waiting for Riko to finish her final emotional words and then killing her, he stole the show, I was waiting for this to be animated for a long ass time, they made it justice, I loved it
also this arc has 2 more episodes, and the rest of the season is where shit gets crazy, Jujutsu is amazing at making "new" people the main character, I mean yea overall Yuji is the main protagonist, but they make amazing arcs where ppl dont even know he exists, like making Yuta the main character in the movie Zero, and making Gojo the main character now in the hidden inventory arc, like its been years without season Itadori in the anime, but it is still amazing, love Jujutsu for that.
The fact Toji is completely rusty and been lazy for years makes this even more wild. He’s the complete opposite of Gojo btw, lazy, almost dirty like and shunned/hated by the sorcerers world since birth but the epitome of the humans. All while gojo is the epitome of sorcerers and everything toji isnt. Polar opposites but both peaks of strength.
10/10 title. Thanks for recognizing that even if it doesn't seem like it, Toji masterful display in this fight was him being able to abuse the little bits of weakness of young gojo. The fight felt very realistic, how death battles are decided in moments and not just exchanging blows for long time.
A Heavenly Pact is something you are born with. Just based on the ones shown so far, Toji and Maki get a superhuman body in exchange for having no cursed energy or technique, while Mechamaru's controller has the opposite, where he has a broken and crippled body, but a MASSIVE supply of cursed energy. A normal pact, like Nanami's "overtime" limit is a self-imposed pact that is weaker than a Heavenly Pact.
Minor correction, Toji is the only one with zero curse energy. Maki still has a little curse energy, which is why she isn't physically as strong as Toji and can still be detected.

Can you choose the heavenly pact or does the parents make the pact for their child at birth? Or does it just happen at random. Not sure if it was explained in the anime
@@maverick608 The energy in Maki is actually from Mai, not her own. They are twins, so a little energy flows through that bond, limiting her pact. SPOILER BELOW
After Mai dies this little amount of cursed energy no longer flows into Maki through the bond, and so her pact fully activates.
The episode started out as a slice of life but ended as slices of Gojo.

Megumi means “Blessing” so I believe Toji named him that for the meaning because Megumi said he didn’t care about his gender regarding his name.

Little reminder on Heavenly Pacts/Heavenly Restrictions; The only characters we've seen so far have it is Maki (Glasses girl), Mr. Best Dad over here Toji, and Mechamaru from the Kyoto school. Maki has increased physical ability because she was born with so little cursed energy, Toji is physically superhuman because he has zero cursed energy even non-sorcerers have a little bit, and Mechamaru has such a fragile body that he was gifted with boundless amounts of cursed energy that's how he can control those puppets

Toji can not see cursed spirits, cursed energy nor cursed techniques under any circumstance, Maki cannot see them except with her glasses. Yuji was able to see that big curse in episode 1 before even eating Sukuna so he had enough CE to not have undergone a heavenly pact.

Gojo is still the strongest even as a teen. Even toji himself admitted that he cant do anything if he just faced him head on. Thats why he had to wear him down. A full strength teen gojo would still give him a run for his money.
I think pre awakening gojo would lose to toji even if it's fp. He acknowledges the ability he doesn't know how strong is gojo at that point he doesn't take chances he is an assassin

@@adityapratap1770 actually none of these comparisons actually make much sense lol. Gojo is way more involved with the plotline of JJK than Urahara is with the plotline of Bleach. Whenever Gojo is around the story always REVOLVES around HIM because that mf is the embodiment of strength in the JJK world. That's why you know what happens in the next arc, because the author needed the plot to revolve around the other characters.
Tbf Toji did double tap him, or even multi-tapped Gojo if we count all those wounds separately. But yeah, the only thing that he didn't do (and he should do it) was decapitating Gojo, and since we haven't seen him in current time, that might be his downfall.

*post-discussion* I think this brings the idiom "big fish, small pond" into light. they are not wrong in thinking they are the strongest in their group but they underestimated their enemy's ability to plan around sheer power, plus they're young and still learning
ain't nobody getting humble when he's literally about to have the greatest comeback of all time next episode lol, plus the dropping of the sickest line in the entire series (honored one). And I disagree with you, they aren't big fish in a small pond, even at this point Gojo and Geto are already the strongest sorcerers in the world (although Gojo is WAY stronger in current timeline), the fact that they are repeating this line "we are the strongest" over and over again is because by the end of this arc Gojo will level up to a point where Geto is gonna say "Satoru became THE strongest". the change in line is very significant, meaning they stopped walking side by side and Geto was just left behind.

This is the fight that humbled Gojo to become what he is in the present.

I'm sure people already explained this but here goes nothing:
Heavenly Pacts were explained in season one. Heavenly Pacts are forced at birth, it's not really something you can do. Maki has a heavenly pact just like Toji does, and Mechamaru has one as well. Maki and Toji have zero cursed energy, so to make up for it their Heavenly Pact gave them super human prowess. In Mechamaru's case, he was born with a weak, sick body, and so his cursed energy reserve is immense. If you lack something so completely, the universe will give you something in return.
Toji has experience, he is smart, he needed to learn how to overcome sorcery as he had none of it. Toji held all the cards in his hand.
At this point, both Satoru and Suguru are overconfident because they _are_ the strongest, even as teenagers, they truly are the strongest not just of the bunch. It's just... Toji is not even in the scale, because he has no cursed energy, he isn't a sorcerer but rather The Sorcerer Killer.
Back in high school if I'm not mistaken, Suguru had way more control and mastery over his Cursed Technique than Satoru. Suguru was also a stronger martial artist than Satoru.
Also something that everyone is missing but is good to keep in mind, after Satoru gets stabbed and tells Suguru to take Riko and Kuroi away? The way Suguru looks at Satoru and then looks at their charges has meaning to it. Don't forget about it.

🤷🏽♂️. I don’t remember many things. I watch casually and I enjoy it casually. If you been following you know i dont remember many details that i saw that long ago. I don’t have a way to remember unless I watch recaps and I don’t do that as a passed time.
I watch fight scenes or my favorite dialogues and move on till next season

‘Heavenly pact’ better known as ‘heavenly restriction’ as it said where one is born without cursed energy but is gifted with physical prowess, with there 5 senses also being heightened. Currently we know of 2 cases toji and maki zenin. Unlike maki who has heavenly restriction because she was born a twin, toji was born with it for no exact reason, it’s only a phenomenon that occurs at random.

Riko's death always hurts, because it was so pointless. The people who hired Toji wanted Riko to not merge with Tengen. Neither Gojo nor Geto were planning on forcing her to do it. And at the exact moment where she decides not to do it, all parties would've gotten what they wanted... and yet she still died right when she had hope for a future
