My brother had to point that out becuase i thought sukuna said huh? Becuase he was able to regain power...but sukuna didnt come out until after everyone fed itadori the 11, 12 fingers. So theres more to itadori we dont know and im here for it

This is quite easily the best fight in the entire season so far. The way they animated the entire fight between Choso and Yuji, was so fluid, also I love how they animated Choso’s blood manipulation. He reminds me of Power from Chainsaw Man with that technique since they both control blood.
Entire series bro. Season 1 had nothing like this. The best fight in Season 1 was probably Itadori and Nobara vs Kechizu and Eso and it was nowhere close to this. I deadass can't think of anything in Season 1 that rivals this ngl.
Honestly, this is probably the single best fight in the entire series. Only one fight has really come close to it in the manga (won't be saying what it is for anime onlys)

What JJK can do well in particular from modern battle shonen is showcase characters just throwing straight *HANDS* 👌
I was so moved with how well they adapted Yuji Vs Choso. I saw some people in the anime community thinking this fight would be an absolute wash and that Choso wasn't anything special. Glad they got to see my boy in action this week. He put in that work. Had it not been for Mechamaru's quick thinking, Yuji would've been in trouble. In fact, even with some of his bigger moves unusable thanks to the water, Choso STILL managed to achieve the W. Not just that, people seem to think Sukuna is ready to defend Yuji at all times. But we see in this episode, he was just disappointed in how Yuji lost to an opponent Sukuna personally deemed weak. And was prepared to go back to vibing until he saw Choso freak out. Sukuna is not Yuji's ally. He is not his friend. And he is not some trump card to save the day either. After all, even if he loses Yuji, he still has several fingers that exist in the world. The two girls Geto saved have approached the unconscious Yuji. And Choso has been greeted with a memory of something that never happened. Yuji, sitting at a table and feeding him while calling him brother. How bizarre.

It’s only anime onlys that thought this fight would be a wash and you can’t blame them choso hadn’t really done anything up until this point and yuji and nobara mid diffed his two younger brothers only 2 arcs ago

A lot of people reading the manga didn’t think much of choso before the fight either. It’s not really an anime only experience. He hadn’t said or done much before this

and Choso roled as the main character to revenge his brother, that's why he won.
Dead ass, they paid homage perfectly they even contrasted the moment before they started their last exchange, where, in the raid the two-fighters touched the backs of their palms together, respectively. But here as Itadori moves his hand towards Chozos to touch Chozo retracts his hand in defiance of Yujis respect and attacks him off guard , even the way that Chozo shot Yugi in the liver was underhanded, this fight was amazing

I liked how the fight played out towards the end: It felt like it was going to have the cliche of the MC winning in the nick of time at the end, but in this case, he still lost. Yuji is strong, but still had an opponent with some edge over him (as later mentioned at 22:04 before I heard whole discussion).
I don’t think it’s cliché the main character loses in the beginning and middle of the show a lot
@@TRJ42 That mostly happens against stronger characters though, Choso is objectively one of the weaker people out of Fake Geto's team. It's not cliche in this sense because Yuji has a negative winrate against characters that aren't like the Grasshopper curse.
@@mulanomulaChoso is still a special grade (in terms of cursed spirits) though. He is anything but weak. Ichigo himself lost to Grimmjow who was on the lower end of Espada. Luffy at one point was getting packed up by Vice Admirals. Tanjiro was getting clapped by Rui.
It isn’t THAT uncommon for the MC to get humbled a lil bit by an opponent.
@@icantbelieveyoudonethis4059 yeah but Tanjiro won, Ichigo won, Luffy always wins by cliche methods but this was different. The mc didn't win which goes to show you JJK is different from other shonens.
@TRJ42 Well I mean not just losing in general, but the *specific framing* they did here too. They made it feel like he would win with hyping himself up and with a similar finishing move he had in S1 when he was fighting the other brothers, but this time he lost.

When Yuuji and Choso got that close with each other like that ( 9:02 ) it reminded me of the one scene in "The Raid 2" movie when the protagonist fought an enemy in a kitchen. One of the best martial movies imo, do check it out
Legit all manga readers gotta be satisfied with that. Reading this fight, it was my favorite of the arc and damn they did it justice!
This was my favorite part of the manga full stop. Ive waited several years for this scene to get animated and no lie it made me cry a lot. I’ve looked forward to seeing it get animated but I never thought something could exceed my expectations and blow me away the way this episode did. The greatest fight in JJK history in my opinion, they did this scene JUSTICEEE

I love the way the blood is animated, its like a sticker when it comes up and off stuff, and then the splat of it is just so cool. And icky at the same time, constantly covered and unconvered in blood.
MAPPA put their heart and soul into this. So grateful to the staff and animators at Mappa for giving us such well done episodes with godly animation. As a huge fan of JJK i couldn't be more grateful to them 🙏

WOW! This episode was so crazy! This might be my favorite one of this arc so far. The animation was so damn crispy and fluid, even the 3D aspects were smooth and seamless. The fight was incredible, from the Blood Manipulation slicing everything to the straight up hand to hand combat. Itadori has such high IQ for battle and is so good at improvising things on the spot. Shoutout to Mechamaru for his great idea and goading Choso into the bathroom. I hope it’s not the last we’ve heard from him. Choso ain’t no slouch either he was getting worked, but also got some crazy hits in and was able to counter Yuji in the end. I knew we would get a look at Sukuna at some point so I’m glad we did, even though it was brief. Not sure what’s exactly going on at the end, but that’s the fun part. And though it was a short one, we finally we got a post credit scene. I’m so excited to see what’s next! 🤘🏽

It wasn't MAPPA who could make this kind of animation happen, they had abused the staffs of someone who was most influential in production. By giving them schedules and contact terms that makes no sense to make episodes like this. This episode only finished production in the last second of the airtime. Please don't praise MAPPA for this but give it to the animator staffs instead 😊

This fight was incredibly done. The direction, angles and colours were pushed a lot. It felt like a night club fight especially in the bathroom scene. The fake memories part was super weird. Yuji must have some sort of connection as todo and now choso are seeing him as a brother. I also wonder will the other cursed wombs be brought to life later in the series?

Another really cool detail/parallel is the “Dun. Dun. Dun. Dun…” thing they did with the alternating camera angle during Yuji and Nobara’s simultaneous Black Flash in season 1 vs Eso and Kechizu, and Yuji’s final punch vs Choso here. Except this time Choso changed the outcome and blocked it, showing the difference in strength and skill compared to his younger brothers.
I feel like that music went overs peoples head cause this was also a nice touch!
