Choso is probably one of the strongest Special Grade Death Paintings in the arrays of Death Painting, so in a way him beating Yuji was already given since brother is still waiting on approval for grade 1. I have to say this shit exceeded manga, everything was just so perfect, the animation, the lighting the art direction and pacing, it wasnt done weird like Gojo vs the Disaster curse where there was no agency or panic, here you cwn reaaaallly feel The Stakes are high. Also I hope the reactors love Choso going forward, gotta be my favorite design wise and character wise, bro is just protective
This even better than the manga. The animation, the music, the choreography is just perfect. Well done, Mappa! 🔥 This fight was done really well . I'm glad because it gives me hope for what’s about to happen next episode when you know who takes over.
I was on the edge of my seat the whole damn episode. The fluidity of the movements, the narrator explaining certain things and the atmosphere and background is all the product of master animators.
I love the symbolism of Yuji being the man on the walking/running signs and at the end they show it again but this time sliced and bloody. The direction on this episode was just chefs kiss
Choso very quickly became one of my favourite characters in the entire series when i was reading the manga. I am happy Mappa is doing him so well in the anime :D
The crazy thing is the more you see the main cast fight against each of the special grade enemies, the more insane you realise Gojo is for taking them on 4 v 1 & having them all scared for their life. he really is just on a different level
Well you can't have conflict and great character moments when the strongest guy is around this is the best arc in jjk and it doesn't have gojo In it it's like the story is better without him 🤣🤣🔥🔥
I find it funny how everyone completely misunderstand Sukuna accepting defeat and then being surprised by something as Sukuna deciding to go and attack Choso 💀 My man literally went 'Huh?' and everybody missed it
I think its because for anime watchers, previously yuji has been "saved" couple of times like when they are fighting the special grade curses, when mahito was touching yuji's soul, yuji brought back to life by sukuna etc. I think it makes them think this is like naruto kurama's situation but its actually not because sukuna havent been shown to be really evil
I really loved that Yuji slowly lost ground throughout the episode. It wasn't just some lucky shot that took him down. You could tell he was really struggling. He was ferocious tho I loved yet
4:23 it's called Divergent Fist, The thing Todou mentioned in season 1 because back then yuji still didnt understand the essence of his cursed energy so that his cursed energy always lag behind after the punch. Now Yuji is able to switch naturally from Divergent Fist to Normal punch imbued with cursed energy.
I remember when this first happened, people speculate that this is could be Itadori's CT, that he connects with a person's soul and leaves a piece of his in them, effectively making his opponent care for him. Happened with Todo and now with Choso.
@@s.solhaug fucking casual, Choso is Itadori's son obviously. Go back and read and the re-read the manga again cause you don't know what the hell you're talking about
something alot of people aren't realising is that Sukuna doesn't care about Yuji, this isn't a Naruto and Kurama relationship. Sukuna thought Choso was about to kill Yuji so he just closed his eyes and accepted it he's not the type to come to his rescue or think "I need to step in and save Yuji's life", this is the King Of All Curses we're talking about, he's a certified savage 😂
I think part of the reason why people thinks sukuna care is that assume he will die if yuji dies. That obviously isn't true if you think about it and realize that only a few fingers are inside of yuji and therefore only part of sukuna is inside him though.
@@nnightkingj People say it cuz Kurama still saved Naruto's ass alot of times by lending tiny bit of chakra despite the fact that the tailed beasts can be reborn in a different person if jinchuriki dies

i’ve seen people talk about it on twitter but you’re the only reactors i’ve seen talk about the raid 2 inspiration for the fight. this shit is just so crazy seeing how hard they went with this fight has my heart racing for what’s soon to come
No BS this might be the best anime fight I've ever seen. Animation, choreography, effect work, voice acting, and cinematography has come so far. This episode was such a massive joy to watch. As much as everyone else has significantly cool powers, I still love Itadori the most in this show. No one throws hands like him. This episode felt like a payoff for anyone who LOVES anime not just JJK alone. They put their whole foot in every aspect of this episode. What a joy.
This is not the best anime fight in terms of animation even tho it was incredible but not the best the animator's did amazing job but it could have been even more crazy if they had a better schedule (They schedule is terrible but because of talent and team work they pulled it through) ps the animator's that they have are very very talented like stupid talented check out fate Grand order camlot 1 and 2 see how good they are
Big thing i notice with most reactions to the Sakuna scene is everyone is so hyped when they see him they stop paying attention to him. Sakuna seems to just accept that Yuji lost and is about to get killed, and then you see him say "huh?" when Choso doesn't finish Yuji. Choso is a beast but much respect to Yuji going straight up hands in these gun and knife fights. Even though he doesn't have much choice in the matter.
Everyone slept on Choso and wasn’t prepared for him to lil bro Yuji so quick. He isn’t just a menace because of his technique but he’s creative and crafty as hell. Also yes Choso would body Nanami. He’s equivalent to a special grade curse.
@@lylatfox4 Nanami at this point isn’t that much better than Yuji. Considering his own lack of ranged attacks as well he most likely gets clapped by Choso.
This is one of the best anime fights I’ve seen, I’ve been waiting years to see it animated. The choreography was amazing and Choso’s fighting style is so cool to watch, part of why he’s my favorite JJK character.
Literally the only reaction channel that looks into what they are watching and genuinely interested in the job that you guys are doing. You are my favorite channel here.❤
it wasn't Sukuna, It was choso's ability to sense his siblings on the verge of death. when he was about to finish off yuji he gained the memories of the past life.
The animation was so awesome. The POV shots were so damn cool! This is one of the coolest close quarter fights I've ever seen in anime. Plus the voice acting, editing, music, etc. Beautiful done.
I love how the universal sentiment of reactors to this fight was, "gadDAYUM, I didnt know Choso was that nasty!". I thought the exact same thing, especially considering this is apparently his first real fight.
The whole inner demon being a partner and helpful has completely fucked people up lol. Doesn't help that other series have done it too. Naruto, Chainsaw Man, Black Clover, Tokyo Ghoul, Bleach, etc. @KaiserReinhard
I really loved how during Yuji's left-handed punch they played the same musical motif that was used during the twin black flash that Yuji and Nobara had vs. his brothers.
Idk if you noticed but the song playing before yuji got knocked out was a remix of the song they played when nobara and yuji fought against ezo and kechisu
The moment yuji and choso squares up with each other was like a reference to that final fight in scene in the movie titled The Raid 2, this episode was so amazing that it made me watched that movie again
10:07 no combat experience doesn't necessarily mean no skill, Yuji is struggling like that probably because he can only use one arm effectively while the other isn't really doing much but block.
Apparently they just finished animating this episode the day before it came out too. This staff for JJK is crazy and they deserve as much rest as they can get.
@@yesyouareright9800it is sad. The schedule for jjk os insane and the reason we know they worked on it till the last second is because someone spoke out about it. The animation industry gives bad time, bad management, bad hours, and then expects perfection and your entire life career relies on it. Good luck getting work as a small animator of you helped out with season three of seven deadly sins. Do you get what I'm saying? You have to work with horrible pay, with terrible conditions, with little hope if you leave because switching careers now is to late. It's hell as anime animators. This episode had to push up to the actual expected date. Sure it may be worth it because this episode is beautiful and it will help people's careers. It just won't exactly mean they will for sure get farther in the industry. You have to work well in the worst conditions and cone out with the best work. That doesn't leave very many chances for shows or artists to be beautiful. It leaves shows flat, static, empty, and upsetting. Jujutsu kaisen looks so good by force and with horrible deadlines.
Okay, so like many people, I also find it a bit weird that EVERYBODY mistakes what was happening to Choso as something Sukuna did. Everybody just forgets that Todo literally went through the same thing Choso did in this episode, with memories that did not exist. Both times, Yuji was unconscious or had just come back from it. Lupa mupa
I think its mostly that he can "feel" when hes brother die/are dying too. But yeah definitely some memories manipulation bullshit happening too. Especially after "that" fight soon.
The episode was amazing, I love the fact that it wasn't just throwing powers at random with flashy effects, there was an actual choreography to the fight and that's something a lot of animes miss nowadays, literally reminded me of Naruto and their taijutsu fights while using ninjutsu in clever ways. Only thing I didn't like is that I feel that they missed the mark a little bit with Sukuna's reaction as it left people thinking that Sukuna actually did something when in reality he was as confused as everybody else with Choso's reaction.
The misinterpretation of everything that happens with choso is INSANE to me you can literally see sukuna non giving a flying fuck about yuuji and literally closing his eyes as he was about to get killed and everyone’s reaction is “suluna did it” HE LITERALLY GAVE UP HE DOESN’T CARE IT’S NOT LIKE HE DIES WITH YUJI
Well people grasp onto the familiar man. They're trying to figure out what happened with the tools available to them. It's easy to think of Sukuna as Yuji's Kurama. Aside from not saving Junpei he's kind of just chilling in Yuji. Even killing Yuji seems meh cause of how "easily" Yuji bounced back from death. Choso starts freaking out so maybe Sukuna did some weird aura thing like with Mahito.
I mean if everyone's expecting Sukuna to show up to save the day and they decide to ACTUALLY make Sukuna show up on screen, it's fair to assume he had a role to play. That was just a confusing way of doing this, showing Sukuna for litterally no reason and then showing an event that no one can understand properly
One little detail that I love about this fight is the choking gasps Yuji makes whenever he takes a serious hit. Choso's probably the strongest opponent he's faced up to that point, and Yuji's losing MASSIVE amounts of HP with every blow.
It's choso's first serious fight and don't forget that his (like his brothers one) blood was poisonous, and Yuji didn't get killed because od sukuna's resistance to it

The call back to when Yuji and Nobara did black flashes with the music and visuals “stop starting” made us to believe Yuji would win but it ended up being a great misdirection

y'all fr need to give your editor a raise LOL! I been laughing for the past 7 minutes @5:19
I love how they used another version of the song that played when Yuji and Nobara fought the brothers at the end of last season. Its such a nice touch, and with it being different it goes with how things in this fight go differently too.

The way Choso is an efficient all-rounder fighter was such a revelation. We first see him as a long range attacker with the Gojo fight and now he BOXING with Yuji and dominating. Easily became top 10 JJK characters for me.
He's also battle smart for someone who had no combat experience since he was a NEET for 150 years. He basically outsmarted Yuji's outsmarting lol
Fair but he did almost lose to 1 handed itadori so he’s no joke either

Honestly the great thing about the manga is that for like the past 40 chapters, you can see that Gege has drawn the fights in a way where you can tell that they're setting up those scenes to have the most INSANE Sakuga animation once they get adapted into the anime 😩🙌🏾
JJK really knows how to use the space the characters are in to its advantage
Definitely fight of the year in my book
Choso is probably one of the strongest Special Grade Death Paintings in the arrays of Death Painting, so in a way him beating Yuji was already given since brother is still waiting on approval for grade 1. I have to say this shit exceeded manga, everything was just so perfect, the animation, the lighting the art direction and pacing, it wasnt done weird like Gojo vs the Disaster curse where there was no agency or panic, here you cwn reaaaallly feel The Stakes are high. I was on the edge of my seat the whole damn episode. The fluidity of the movements, the narrator explaining certain things and the atmosphere and background is all the product of master animators.

Happened with Todo and now with Choso.

something alot of people aren't realising is that Sukuna doesn't care about Yuji, this isn't a Naruto and Kurama relationship.
Idk why people bring this up Naruto and kurama didn't become friends until over 400. Episodes in the series
@@nnightkingj People say it cuz Kurama still saved Naruto's ass alot of times by lending tiny bit of chakra despite the fact that the tailed beasts can be reborn in a different person if jinchuriki dies

Just let them be, that's part of whats makes it exciting without getting spoiled
bro its their first time lmao chill. tho tbf sukuna had a different expression in the manga so mappa be doing some red herring shit with this one
I think it would've been better if sakuna's scene wasn't there.
The way they used an orchestral version of the same rock OST with the fight of Itadori/Nobara vs the two brothers was PURE HEAT 🔥🔥🔥
One little detail that I love about this fight is the choking gasps Yuji makes whenever he takes a serious hit. Choso's probably the strongest opponent he's faced up to that point, and Yuji's losing MASSIVE amounts of HP with every blow.
Choso came with the sad backstory and took the mc title from yuiji for this ep lol
