The Bears scoring 48 seems mind boggling now
Well I mean look at this team compared to now
@@christiankopec2342 we had a solid Head Coach back then Tht da biggest difference they had played hard all 3 phases of da game 💯
they put up 48 just a couple years ago
@@SageSea1 Ok I’m talking about the team now not a couple years ago.
It was pretty mind boggling back then too
We need a Matt Forte highlight reel to add to the underrated RB catalog here on throwback
As good an all purpose back as you will ever find.
I remember watching this game and Kyle Orton really started shining before the ankle injury derailed his progress when he returned, but he’s solid quarterback who never had a strong arm, but is accurate with the ball when given time in the pocket
I really miss Matt Forte he was essentially Christian McCaffery before we knew who McCaffery even was
Wouldn’t say all that but sure
Matt forte produced for a longer time period
Good comparison. But I think Matt Forte was more of a all around back. Compared to McCaffrey being mainly a receiving back
2.8 yards per carry in this game.
He was no where near as good as mccaffrey
Gus Frerotte vs Kyle Orton
What a QB duel
Bear Down Sir
Orton could’ve been really good
A combined 215 TDs and 175 INTs... L E G E N D S
My god Adrian Peterson was THAT man in his prime he was one of the most explosive running backs to play the game
AP vs Chicago has always been fun
This amount of offense is just obscene, it's 2.7 games of 2021 Bears offense. What a time to be alive.
Yep, 327 total yards in this game. Real impressive. Vikings had 439.
53 yards rushing on 22 carries. 283 yards passing. 20 first downs.
Quite an offense. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@sludge4125 yeah but scoring
Trading away Greg Olsen is still haunting the franchise
That's a real Ted Phillips special right there, glad that ass hole is 'retired' and they have a new Team Prez.
We can blame mike martz for that
@@kant5696Hey! That's "Genius" Mike Martz!
Don't you remember all of the wins and Super Bowl titles he brought to the City of Chicago?
How quick you forget. The man is a genius... just ask him.
Lovie's D gets a lot of credit for how good his Bears teams were, but that special teams was DOMINANT. Dave Taub's unit always came to play.
I’m still upset we traded Olsen. We were going to sign him back in 2020 and told Olsen we were pulling the trigger and then they signed Graham instead. Classless.
Typical McCaskey's...
It’s just business.
Shitty management. Bears haven't been fun to watch since 2013
Love those bears uniforms. I wish they would wear them more
Wore them against the cardinals
I don’t.
@@sludge4125 ok
They wear them once every year usually on or around Halloween
The fear of Hester returns was almost embarrassing.
Throwback game ideas for this week:
Broncos/Raiders- 1993 AFC Wild Card Game
Washington/Dallas- 1991 Week 2 MNF
Giants/Eagles- 2001 Week 16 NFC East showdown
Bucs/Panthers- 2008 Week 14 MNF
What about Eagles vs giant week 10 2010
It’s crazy how much crisper the picture was on the Pats Colts game from 03 that was just uploaded. I wonder why some older games look better.
The marquee afternoon games have more cameras
These kinds of television games were designed with non HD TVs in mind. HD teams didn’t become commonplace until 5 years later
Because the NFL's RUclips channel is lazy in trying to locate all the HD games from 2003 thru 2010. CBS was also broadcasting in 1080i vs Fox's 720p resolution at the time.
@@rand479m5 The difference is not more cameras but "better" cameras used.
@@reverend_wintondupree 👍👍👍👍
I find it kinda interesting that a decent amount if players played for both teams. I believe Benard Berrian and Bobby Wade were Bears, and I think Chester Taylor and Allen played for the players. There might be more, but those were the ones I remembered.
They were
Nothing interesting about it. It isn’t unusual.
Do Dallas vs Washington in 2010 week 1 Sunday night. It came down to the last play. It was amazing
Wow I can't believe this was a while ago. I thought maybe that it would be a hard run game, but I never expected the shootout.
Shouldn’t this video be in full 1080p HD???
Orton 21 for 32, 283 yards, 2 touchdowns.
Forte, 56 yards on 20 carries.
A. D. (Peterson) had 121 yards on 22 carries, 2 touchdowns.
Frerotte, 4 interceptions.
Still scored more than navy’s offense with Kyle Orton
Back when the Bears actually had an offense.
Yep, 327 total yards in this game. Real impressive. Vikings had 439.
53 yards rushing on 22 carries. 283 yards passing. 20 first downs.
Quite an offense. 🤦♂️🤦♂️

Minnesota Vikings Against Chicago Bears From The 70s 80s And Early 90s Underrated NFC Central Division Rivalry ☺🏈
Honestly. People shit on Vikings and bears fans for how bad our teams are compared to the packers but forgot that we were the powerhouses of the NFC in the 70s, 80s, and sometimes the 90s.
@@squidparty2000 Losing 4 SB's over 7 seasons will do that. &...running the football the wrong way for a score for the opposition.
@@RICHBLACKCOCK that play was in the 60s but still were a great team like the 80s bengals and 90s bills
@@squidparty2000 Marshall running that fumble promoted the NFL to put DIRECTION ARROWS! on the field seasons later. As for the Bengals & bills, they were missing that 1!! element; along with talent & chemistry, that'll get a team to the top: LUCK!
As a Bears fan I still think Kyle Orton was HORRIBLY underrated. We could have won a SB (or maybe two) with him as the starting QB.
Delusional.
Y’all should upload Washington Dallas 2010 week 1 SNF that came down to the final play, since Washington and Dallas play on SNF this Sunday 🔥
Good game 👌🏽
I know Cutler was good, however I wanted to keep Kyle Orton. He was under rated.
Ad and that line damn they would've been good with a qb
If Favre was there a year earlier, holy crap.
This was a good football game.
What a game, very competitive.
Now it's funny seeing Lovie without a beard.
The bears were good from 2000-2010. Decent defense and special teams. Couldn’t find the right quarter back. Miss these uniforms.
I just want to go home right now. This game is perfect, but who plays tonight?
Bears offense looked superb this day.
I wish Sam Rosen called more NFL games nowadays. NHL fans are lucky.
THIS WAS INTERESTING...................
When Sam Rosen called NFL games, man he's a legend in both football and hockey
Legit tho back when the Chicago Bears had an actual offense tho
Yep, 327 total yards in this game. Real impressive. Vikings had 439.
53 yards rushing on 22 carries. 283 yards passing. 20 first downs.
Quite an offense. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
this was my first nfl game ever (if only my vision wasn't so bad😂)
Where's the HD broadcast?
HD wasn’t fully incorporated until 2010-2011 or so
@@MustacheDLuffy What does that even mean? This game was produced and broadcasted in HD?
@@reverend_wintondupree This game is not in HD. Sunday/Monday night games apparently were but not noon games
@@MustacheDLuffy That's incorrect. Since 2004, Fox was broadcasting 6 games each week in HD (as was CBS since 2007). 2008 week 7 had 5 games on Fox. Still don't believe me, there's highlights on RUclips of this game in HD.
@@reverend_wintondupree what about 16? I wouldn’t be shocked but this looks a lot worse
It’s a shame these bears didn’t win the division that year because they really were better than the Vikings who only relied on Adrian Peterson. These bears felt like a playoff team.
Well Done NFL Throwback
I gave Bart Starrs autograph away !...
Can you add the 2006 Monday Night Football lowest scoring game??
Bears should have just kept Olson and Orton. Orton and Gus Frerotte were solid quarterbacks. Good journeyman for many years Frerotte was.
hard to believe Greg Olsen was in this game, now he's doing commentary
What’s so hard to believe? This game was 13 years ago. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
BTW - Really cannot believe what I am seeing Kyle Orton do in this game. He and Olsen looked great
You could say that Jay Cutler had more talent and potential than Kyle Orton. But Orton was MY QB and I never forgave the Bears for trading him for Jay Cutler. That day I switched to the Packers.
My bears scoring over 40 WOW
I forgot there were 2 AP's during this time lol.
Bears defense carried that team, but matt forte was really good
You mean the offense carried the team. The Defense was horrible with a bad secondary
It’s opposite, defense was ass except for urlacher Briggs and tommy Harris. Offense did good for a Chicago offense in general
They had Urlacher, Tillman, Mike Brown, how is that bad defense?
@@smartacus1367 3 players don’t make up for 8 others who aren’t as good
56 yards on 22 carries. He really overwhelmed the Vikes.
As a bears fan it's torture to see a team score 41 on us. Even if we win
Might as well had been Manning vs Brady. Some of those throws were laced with something. 😳
If you say so.
Four interceptions by Minnesota. 327 passing yards by Chicago.
22:28 Feel sorry for the Vikings receiver to lose the game on a INT and another man's ass right in his face!
Kyle Orton should have stayed the starter his rookie year (2005).
On dec. 23 is my birthday
God the bears should of just kept Orton. At least he played well here. Should of just let Cutler walk somewhere else.
Ah, yes, this was around the time both teams had an Adrian Peterson at runningback.
Nice to see Garrett Wolfe's lone NFL highlight :D
The Bears trading away Olsen was one of the dumbest things they've done in the past 15 years personnel wise.
He wasn’t better then Cutler
The 2008 Vikings had one of the worst special teams units I've ever even.
What kind of maniac would trade Greg Olsen?
When Gus frerotte can score 41 with Bobby wade and berrian but Kirk cousins struggles to score 30+ with Jefferson thielen diggs hockenson addison and cook🤣
Checahgoe!
They never kicked it to Hester 😂
Marty Booker shoulda had 3 TDS
Good lord, Marty Booker!? LOL. Two of the worst drops in the end zone I've seen in the same game.
Da bears.
Man. Marty Booker was still playing. Whoa.
One of the single dumbest trades in NFL History...
Trading away a young Greg Olsen.
Just utter stupidity on a franchise altering level.
Punter JIM CARREY 🤡🤡 03:19
The offense we so desperately crave here in Chicago!… even if the defense gave up so many points a win is a win!.. And if are offense looked like that in present day we would be great!…
