Just got done doing mine. Thank you for such and excellent video. Your attention to how the fuel line clips work is a life saver and made this job possible for me. My truck no longer bogs down and kicks under load. It just down shifts, revs up and goes. 272,000 miles on mine. So happy I had it properly undercoated when I got it, plus its a Florida truck so no serious salt here. Thank you again !!!
Excellent video. Just replaced the fuel pump assembly in my 2008 with 200k miles. I snapped off half the bolts holding the shield and both bolts for the straps. They were all seated due to rust/corrosion. If you have a high mileage truck be prepared for this. I had to drill out and retap the hole and assemble with new flange bolts.
Great to hear that! This video helped you out. I broke two bolts as well one skid plate front bolt near end of transmission and rear fuel tank strap bolt as well. It took me more time to get bolts out than repair itself. Thanks for your feedback!
Hey Alex! It has been almost an year after I replaced fuel pump. Truck runs like a clock. Did you check actual fuel pressure at idle and snap throttle for 2-3 seconds to check volume and pressure drop? Do you have any DTCs stored in ECU?
Most likely Circuit High Input due to open circuit - I would check electrical connector at the fuel pump module for any water intrusion, pin fitment and spread terminals. Check fuel pump ground, based on symptoms. Test between pump ground pin and known good ground when circuit loaded, should see around 100 mV.
Hi Erich! I am so happy to hear that you got your Nissan Titan fixed. Right under the video I have "THANKS" button, you can use that option to support the channel. Much appreciated Erich!
@@PistonShack , just became member! I should be around at least 1 year. I have not installed the new Fuel "pump" yet, but will soon. So far my Titan is working just fine, but I am sure that pump will give me fits again soon eventually, and thanks to your video, I feel confident to do it right (I am fairly mechanically competent). THANKS AGAIN!
Greetings Erich! Thanks for your support brother! If pump works without effecting any engine performance. I wouldn't worry replacing the fuel pump. My pump started acting up after 10-15 minutes of driving, especially bogging down under the load. I have another Titan video where I tested loaded fuel pump circuit. I would recommend to do those simple tests before replacing the pump first (link under the video). Let me know if you have any questions. I would be glad t help you. Cheers!
I just got through watching the video looks like you cover all the basis. well, I'll let you know how it goes for me, if I can pull the job of as flawlessly as you did...
How many miles did your pump have when you replaced it ? My 05 Titan got 130k miles with the original fuel pump. How soon should I replace the fuel pump ? Thanks
Seems to be a lot more room to work in there on the Ext Cab model. Mine is a Crew Cab and the pump is completely beneath the cab. I gave up and took it to a local shop.
Can you drop fuel tank 6-12'' to get some extra room to work on fuel line connectors? Did you try to spray wd-40, sounds like no luck to disconnect plastic fuel lines?
This is a very good video and I really like the detailed explanation. Also the way you remove the fuel line is a lie. Unless you have super long slender fingers made of steel that are also triple jointed, it seems very nearly impossible to do it... especially without removing the razor sharp and also pointless cover that goes over the fuel sending unit. And, you seem very helpful and cheerful throughout the process which is also impossible, and stupid and I hate EVRYTHING! ...But thanks for the video. It was great.
Hey 8Steady! I really like your honest comment! That fuel line was disconnected without braking anything like that, which is impossible to believe. Cheers.
@@PistonShack HA! Thanks, dude. I really do appreciate the vid. It's a good one. I think you could tell, I was just feeling frustrated at my hilariously incompetent self 😂 I'm sure I'll get it done here soon.

How did you. Heck your fuel pressure?
Good thorough video. Thanks. You mentioned links for fuel pressure check but I`m not seeing one. Did I miss it somehow?
Thanks, especially liked the details about the connectors !!
Glad it was helpful Bruce! Thanks for your kind feedback!

Nice job, very detailed in the process 👍
Glad you liked it!
Thank you. Nice job. I need to get to mine soon. It pumps fuel but gauge is reading incorrectly. I ran out of gas like 5 times already.
Sounds like sender unit (potensiometer) inside the tank doesn't work correctly. Check wiring first before dropping the tank.
what symptoms did you have prior to the install that lead to this repair? I have a 2005 here with 140,000 miles
Hey DirtDecalz! Main issue was luck of fuel pressure/volume during acceleration under the load. Truck was bogging down, no power.
Thanks for the video very helpful
Glad it helped Josh!
Updates on the fuel pump? Because my truck has an no start sometimes and hesitation when accelerating on the gas pedal

@@PistonShack the only code on DTC is P0464 (fuel level sensor circuit high input)

Learned my hard way long time ago as well)
How many miles did your pump have when you replaced it ? My 05 Titan got 130k miles with the original fuel pump. How soon should I replace the fuel pump ? Thanks
At 143K miles original factory pump failed. If it works I won't worry about it. Some trucks are lucky to last 200-250K on original pump.
190k on mine. Replacing tomorrow

Good to know! On my Titan fuel pump replacement was relatively easy.
I could not find the link you mentioned on how to perform a fuel pressure test.
Sorry. Unfortunettly, most of the pressure test files got corrupted. I could,t finish the editing.
Thanks !
You bet!
Does the armada have a fuel filter in the fuel pump itself?
Truck only has fuel strainer mesh only in the pump, no inline filters.
Good video, bud…thanks

What's the difference between fuel flex and non fuel flex?
Flexible fuel vehicles are capable of operating on gasoline and any blend of gasoline and ethanol up to 83%.

Best info was how to undo those hoses
Yeh, great! I knew that is most important part of the repair, rest of it is easy! Cheers!
Could I just remove the truck bed instead?
I don't think it will make pump replacement any easier.
I would have cleaned the surface of the fuel tank before EVER taking anything off/out of it.
That's good idea) How is your repair?

"Easy if you know how to do it" well i dont so please explain because im about ready to rip this entire fuel line off this ******** truck
