The reason BLP is region locked to USA only is that the GC3 is available in UK/EU. Skytrack+ is clearly a consumer unit and BLP a bit more professional. However, once you take into account subscription costs Skytrack + is a lot cheaper. I am highly impressed with what you get with Skytrack+, it is not for the professional golfer but it is pretty close to ideal for the serious amateur. What it delivers for $3k now is what we would have had to pay $10k for 3-4 years ago. I have no doubt that over time it will get better and cheaper
I would also add that for SkyTrak I paid for the lifetime membership to TGC 2019, which was around $800 and so all I pay is the annual $129, which was $99, and that's it. So, I have played all kinds of courses, Pebble Beach, etc., for what is essentially $10 a month. For anyone just wanting to play at home during the winter and, very conveniently hit balls during the week, this is it!! I have the whole set-up; overhead projector, hitting bay/screen, birdie ball putting mat, etc., and am very happy with the product and the price. Now, I just wish they would let me trade in my current SkyTrak for the new one!!
Having a full home simulator setup is as good as it gets! SKYTRAK has a trade-in program but I think you can get more selling it yourself: skytrakgolf.com/pages/trade-in#/product-search
I own a BLP with the basic subscription and hate the fact that Bushnell has locked some of the basic features in FSX Pro. I’ve never used GSPro, does it have a practice range where one can compare club data, see shot dispersion, etc? Thanks.
I agree, FSX Pro should be fully unlocked for Basic. GSPro has a nice driving range but it's very basic in terms of features. They roll out updates pretty regularly and something gets added here and there. They just added a shot randomizer that picks random distances for you. Ball and club data is shown with every shot but you can't really see session history or dispersion data. For that stuff people are using golfshotanalytics.com which is free and connects to GSPro. I haven't used it but probably will go through it soon. I'm sure GSPro's driving range features will get there eventually but for now it's pretty basic.
Any thoughts on the Uneekor Eye Mini? Any cons that you know of? I’m put off by the cost of club data on the BLP and it seems be a contender. It’s $3500 this month. Thanks!
I haven’t used one yet so I can’t say. Normally I would say it’s $1000 more and still needs a subscription for 3rd party software but with the sale this month it’s pretty even. I might have to take advantage of the sale and try it out…
Skytrak Plus works great with GSPro and you don't even need anything but basic which is free or game improvement which is $129 a year vs $600 a year for gold on BLP to get GSPro to work. That's a no brainer for me. Tried E6connect it looks game like compared to GSPro and 15 courses on E6connect vs over 500 on GSPro.
E6 sucks, tried it for a year. Switched to gs pro a month ago, miles more realistic. Ball physics are so much better, its almost like E6 deaigners have never seen a ball land
I want the most accurate club data I can afford in my SIM. I use a launch monitor for game improvement first, and simulation play second. I know you now have a Quad - which is out of my budget. So which current LM would you recommend for the most accurate club data, that isn't $10k?
From my experience the gc3 or blp. I noticed no change in data accuracy when I went to the quad. Everything else tries to measure the same things with 2 cameras instead of 3. GC3 is on sale this week! friendlygolfer.com/recommends/sig-gc3/

If I purchase the BLP for $1,999 and want to play GSPRO I know I need the $499 annual subscription. I believe in the past a 1st year subscription was included with th initial purchase, is that still the case?
I don’t believe so. It used to be the basic subscription included for the 1st year. Basic is gone and it’s gold only now. I don’t think I’ve seen anywhere that it’s included. Just an initial free trial of gold for either 14 or 30 days. Can’t remember which.
What are the club markers they mention on the Bushnell website that are reqred to collect club head data? "Collection of club data requires use of included club markers"
They are small reflective stickers. One goes at the top center of your club face. If you put one on you’ll get club data, if you leave it off it will only show ball data.
Quick question. If you could buy the Stytrak+ for $3200 or the GC3 (including club path data of course) with FSX Pro for $5300, which one would you buy? This is the relative price difference between units that I could get but wonder if the GC3 is worth the extra 2K.
That's kind of tough and probably depends most on how you want to use it. Also, I assume you are looking at only getting FSX Pro and not the typical licenses it comes with for 2020 and Play as well. That means you're probably planning on using an iPad only and not a gaming PC for simulation. The GC3 is the better launch monitor, no question whatsoever. FSX Pro has improved quite a bit and it's pretty solid now but I still run into some minor bugs. I would say the only advantage ST+ has it that it's software is pretty user friendly and works great on an iPad. If you're going to pay for one of the subscriptions you'll get some cool features and can use E6 and WGT for sim on your iPad. Really hard to answer this without having a conversation but I would say if you want a professional-grade launch monitor that is extremely accurate, reliable, easy to use, and works great indoors and outdoors - go GC3. The ST+ hardware is not near as good as the GC3 but the software has some nice features and works well as an iPad only solution.

I’ve owned both as well and there is no comparison. The BLP is far superior is accuracy, ease of use, software, so on. ST+ alignment is finicky and having to position the ball label for every stroke is tedious. With the BLP, the alignment stick is quick and automatic. Putting a sticker on each club takes 2 minutes and you’re good for a long while. The software with the BLP is far superior as well, both in quality of graphics and stability. My SK+ would drop frequently and the only way to fix was a hard restart. The BLP literally works 100% of the time. All I can tell you for sure is that skytrak did not change their unit enough to ever make me buy one again. Everyone I know and it several are very happy with the performance of the BLP even with having to pay the Subscription to get club data.
I can also tell 100% for positive do not fall for that other guys post about TGC19. It is absolutely SHIT. No real contact for issues and absolutely no update to the game at all in the last 7 or 8 years. I have it for the $800 price and it was okay for a while. Then GSPRO came out and has over 700 real courses posted on it… and GROWING… all using LiDAR data… and the software is constantly monitored for problems with a DISCORD CHANNEL and Updates coming to the software every few months for a much better price and graphics than that TGC19 that isn’t nearly as good as it should’ve been. Hope that helps
