Stern Pinball, Inc. unleashes a new line of pinball machines celebrating and created in cooperation with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2021 inductees Foo Fighters. The Foo Fighters pinball machines are available in Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition (LE) models.
Foo Fighters first stepped onto the world stage in 1995 with their classic self-titled debut album. Over the course of their career, the band has released 10 studio albums, amassed over 32 million records sold worldwide, won 15 Grammy Awards, were recipients of the first-ever MTV “Global Icon” award, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021. One of the biggest headliners on the global stadium, arena and festival circuits, their music will soon begin filling gamerooms and entertainment locations in pinball form.
Stern’s Foo Fighters machines bring the Foo Fighters concert experience home as players are immersed in an epic pinball adventure featuring 15 iconic songs spanning the band’s expansive catalog, including All My Life, Best of You, Breakout, Everlong, Holding Poison, I’ll Stick Around, Learn to Fly, Monkey Wrench, My Hero, Run, Something from Nothing, The Pretender, This is a Call, Times Like These, and Walk.

I'm amazed that ball save has never been done before. Such a simple idea. Amazing.
As a 14 year volunteer at The Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas I can honestly say the response from the public has been incredible, Stern has a showcase area here where you can play the newest games and we have had many requests already. Even better is what happens with your quarters, they go back into community charity groups that are carefully vetted after we pay our expenses

I had the joy of playing this at Tallman Brewing in Oregon. Great machine, fantastic graphics. Top notch all around.
All right, I wasn't expecting to care about the Foo Fighters theme, but the game looks insanely fun.
I agree with another person here. Music pins need Bluetooth or regular headphone jacks since you cannot hear them when they are at establishments. Home use… works great. In public? They never get any volume and therefore you miss out on most the music from the theme. Would be nice to hear these pins to complete the full effect of the theme.

This approach might not be on point for every band machine, but this is DEFINITELY how to make good pinball. Some great looking and different shots, great art, an ability to take the piss out of yourself and some fair to middling rock tunes.

Holy hell! Looks like this may be a best seller for many years and even may sell better than Godzilla. The ingenuity in the out lane save and all around game flow is outstanding! One question . . Is the game code near complete or is there a large section missing like Bond or Godzilla when released?

There aren't similar games. I think it's all about the overall playability of the machine. This one has a bunch of unique and good attributes, but it is obvious it was built by a team that actually plays, enjoys playing, and knows what components have to work together to make a machine work right. I know it sounds simple, but it's often impossible to get any interactive product that is straightforward and simply good out the corporate manufacturing door. Whatever team made FooF -- they did it. The team should get an award!

I dunno. I still think AC/DC is the best newer Rock themed pin ever made. This doesn't really look like there's a lot going on. There isn't $7k-10k worth of game there so if licensing is driving up the prices maybe make some non licensed original titles instead.

As a hedge against inflation, everyone here should convert their money into FooF machines.
The music is irrelevant because I play them in the wild and can rarely hear the music very well. I can never understand why a headphone jack or bluetooth maybe via NFC pairing isn't standard on music pins... I do link the little post below the left flipper, that kind of thing is something for experienced players to exploit but your casual player will be clueless about.
Too many music pins u should make tv shows and movie pins at least there is something to build a game around .music pins are starting to saturate the market and not much substance. Most tv shows or movies usually have hero and villians and that makes the game fun Jmo

So? This is a pinball machine, not a radio station. The game is great. I'll bet the 10 year old who beat us playing it yesterday doesn't even know who Foo Fighters were. The machine is great. It doesn't need a band. The band is lucky these pinball artists apparently like their music.
