You know what just occurred to me whilst watching this? The glass is most breakable near the frame (look at the skittles.)
Near the frame is where the glass has the least amount of flex/bend which makes it the location where it's the most vulnerable.
I'm baffled that a tomato actually managed to break one window pane.
