- Here's a feature overview of the @GIGABYTE_Global X670 X Gaming X AX AMD motherboard. In this video I'm talking about the various features and specs that make it interesting. This is a nice budget motherboard and yet one that has support for gen 5 NVMe SSDs as well as DDR5 RAM with EXPO support. It also has some other surprising hidden treats - simple things like extra front panel USB-A connections.
For the money the Gigabyte X670 X Gaming X is a motherboard worth considering frankly. I've been using it in a recent RGB build I did with the @corsair 5000D RGB Airflow ( • How to build a mega RG... ) and it was easy to build with and relatively hassle free.

@@TheProvokedPrawn Hey Thank you very much I appreciate the response!
How many 4 pin fan headers and Rgb headers does this mobo have? I have 8 Rgb fans 2 of them being a part of the cpu cooler (peerless assassin argb 120 se) and don’t know if this motherboard will have enough headers. (I have the Arctic p12 rgb fans and I’m pretty sure they daisy chain so that’s convenient)
hi Provoked Prawn, I wanted to know your opinion about EVGA Motherboard EVGA Z690 DARK K|NGP|N, 121-AL-E699-KR, LGA 1700, Intel Z690, PCIe Gen5, SATA 6Gb/s, 2.5Gb/s LAN, WiFi6E/BT5.2, USB 3.2 Gen2x2, M.2, U.2, EATX, Intel Motherboard, it would be fantastic if you review it or check it and give you opinion about especially if the primary use for it would be gaming, editing videos as well. thanks
Does yours have coil whilne? mine has a noise from what sounds like behind cpu im guessing the power delivery is close by
mr. prawn are u going to review phanteks nv7 and also please is it worth it to upgrade case from lian li 011 dyanmic xl to phanteks nv7 so i buy or skip it
Alas I have no contact with Phanteks. As much as I'd like to 😭

why it says for me : PCIe 4.0 x16 @ 4.0 x16
because I have only one ssd in m2a slot installed ?
Love these videos! How do you enable the wi-fi for this motherboard though? My "shark fin" antenna is screwed in but I can't find anything in the BIOS. Thanks in advance!

I see the bios update in the link you posted. Should I also be downloading the latest audio, chipset, and utility drivers?
Can do
I bought this MB just to have a red CPU led. Did a Bios update...nothing changed🙁
Hi does this support PBO?
where slot install sound card in mainboard ? thx
is it normal when i boot my pc theres 3 red lights then it disappears after windows logo pops up (couple secs after) should i be worried?
I didnt get any plastic latches on my ssd screw don spots
I gave a thumb up only for the costume 🤪
Thanks for watching all the way to the end
Did this board have the Ethernet drivers already installed?
Hello does it require 2x power cable in top left corner of the motherboard or can it work normally with 1 cable?
Requires x 2
@@19kruger99are u sure? Thx!
Noticed this board on sale with a $100 discount. Feel like it's a no brainer after this, still happy with it?
Wtf how
@happybuggy1582 Australian dollars, don't know how but it was lol.
@@deathrow989 that’s great. Any problem so far with the board? Bc it’s a tier cheaper than all other x670 boards
@happybuggy1582 that was my concern too, it being a lower tier but so far it has been rock solid. There has been no instability with my memory running at their rated speeds or anything else. May have updated the BIOS when I got it but I can't remember.
Should i flash the latest bios before assembling everything or after? Is it safe to flash b version of bios?
You can do Bios update after installation) And get F21 version) not worth F22b because we don't have Ryzen 8000 series yet.
I;ve bought this motherboard couple a months ago , very good motherboard nothing to complain about but now i;ve senn in HWiNFO the Chipset temperature , it's 70-72 degrees in IDLE ! , i want to specify i use for CPU Noctura DH15 and all case have very good fans and airflow , in 100% cpu utilization i have like....65 degrees on cpu and 70-75 on graphic card for example, but this chipset temperature it's diving me crazy , is this normal > ? in game like Cyberpunk the Chipset temperature goes to 80-85 !
the Ryzen 7000 series can reach up to 90 degrees Celsius by design, AMD released some information regarding this, but I forgot where exactly.
Same here. Try to change pcie express power safe in Windows advanced power plan. I realized to ramp up the graphic card fan curve I little bit more in idle helps too. At least I removed 2 of my 4 m2 ssd. So I can now hold the temp while gaming around 63 degrees. I think it is normal, anyway maybe remove thermal pads will help. At the moment I have no time so, it will be my next step
@@a.k.44 you can't replace the pads with thermal paste because it's a gap between the chipset and the heatsink , but after a lot of money and try after try with a lot of thermal pads , ( because the correct size of the pad it's nowhere to be found , i evan mail gigabite and they even don't know ) i've tryed all the "big brands" like ThermalGrisly and stuff nothing worked , and after that i've found Gelid Ultimate 15 W/mK and you need the 1.5mm one , after this ....EVRIKA now i'm on 60-65 as well while heavy gaming and 50 when idle from 70 idle and 85 while gaming ! i can;t believe a brand like gigabite have such a problem with a board that's not really cheap ( for me at least ) and the problem can be fixed with the right 20$ thermal pad....by me...i'm not a tech guru....:)) anyway hope this help ! and remember Gelid Ultimate 15 W/mK 1.5 mm ! peace !
@@iamagod773 thank you mate. I will try it out and tell you the results. Can you tell me which graphic card you are using ? I think my Asus Tuf 7900xt is blowing much heat on the chip too. So my results may not and not improvement
@@iamagod773 hey mate. I tried out the pad. My temps are mostly the same, maybe 2-3 degrees better. More important, its cooling down now after gaming. I think more is not possible, the chipset on this boards seems to be hot. Of course my graphic cards is a big factor (4k gaming) but i can sleep now better :) btw the stock pads where almost dried out and just broke in my hands.
Just bought this motherboard and build my own pc, when I booted up it don’t show me internet only Ethernet and I don’t have an Ethernet cable on my home, is this a motherboard issue?
ruclips.net/video/i5SgqcjyZdU/видео.html
Having trouble. I can't figure out what screws to use to secure the motherboard in the case. Do they come with the motherboard or the tower and if they come with the tower how do I know which screws to use? First build and between wires and screws I'm pretty lost.. Anybody know?
Case. And it's usually tiny ones with little domes on top of wider heads. Or the same ones you use for SSD
@@TheProvokedPrawn Ahah the SSD. I saw a packed labeled for SSD screws so I didn't touch it. The labeling is or lack of it is confusing the shit out of me. But thanks I'll try both and see if it works.
Do you know which Realtek audio codec this motherboard uses, is it as good as ALC1220?
How is the HD audio quality of the motherboard?
Long story short the audio is about the same as any tv headphone audio from the last 15 years. Ordinary. Worse than that of a fo48u oled that I was previously using. The x670 gaming x Realtek HD audio comes through windows 10 maxing at 24 bit 192khz, 24 bit 48khz with dolby atmos for headphones. I think dolby atmos for headphones maxes out at 24 bit 48khz anyway. I use kns6400 and kns8400 and a samsung galaxy s8 andriod dac sounds much more detailed and clean in the bass ranges with 32 bit 384khz. A similarly spec'ed (32bit) fiio k7 is apparently better, or even the SoundBlaster g6 dac. I am thinking about upgrading to the ae-9 soundcard but am slightly worried about space on mobo in the View 71 TG case. I DIY'ed my pc with this case and mobo, specifically, for next gen gargantuan graphics cards. Currently running 7900xtx by gigabyte. I can also conveniently upgrade my gpu, mobo, cpu drivers etc through Gigabyte Control Centre (GCC).
so would you not be able to use a Aio cooler with this board??
You can use one
I am using a liquid freezer ii 280 A-RGB in a VIEW 71 TG with this mobo, gigabyte 7900xtx, trident z5 neo rgb 6000 cl32 32gb, 7800x3d, pcie gen 4 4tb ssd, GF3 1200w. Win 10.
How if b650m gaming x ax cpu 7700x.vrm temp cpu ok or not?
Yes it will be fine
Is it necessary to update the bios too or not needed?
Yes There are some pretty important ones in the latest updates I recommend you do it
@@vitroz4585 bit skeptical though i read the motherboard manual and it said do not update the bios if everything is working fine
Any boot issues ?

Cant decided on matx or atx mobo for 7800x3d 7900xtx, h6 flow case, 64gb ram, 4tb ssd, what is a good mobo
Can you put 4 sticks of ddr5 16gb ram in it ?
Put 2 sticks in
I bought the board, without seeing your video. But what I'm disappointed is, since you allways pay 100 bugs more, just for "gaming" i was missing the 7 segment display. Why? Because it has 4 small LED's on board, in square of maybe 5 mm (why not have 4 diffrent colors?), but they are all red. So if you got problems, it's a pain to identify the correct LED is on.
On the other hand, yes the 4 SSD slots are great. But I'm not sure, if you made a failure to insert, the 2nd SSD on the 2nd Slot, since then it will use 4 lanes of the grafix card. Not sure, but I installed it on 3rd slot, just in case. But I'm not a pro, so maybe I'm wrong.
Now to some things I may just had problems. If you make major changes, like XMP, the init reboot takes whery long. Really long.
And if there is a failure, you will wait 5-10 minutes, till it will reboot, with an error message. What creeped me out... holy moly, did I just break my brand new board?
Also my failure, to update your bios with an usb stick, format it to FAT32. Windows 11 didn't even give me this option. But yeah you can format it on FAT32 on the shell. And this took also very long. How ever, then your Bios will see your new Bios for updating.
Even if I'm not the overclocking guy, wanted to try out XMP. Silly me, I used 4 banks of total 128Gb RAM.... Oh no, it only can use XMP with 2 banks (max. 64GB).
Ok, I tried it out with just 64Gb RAM and yes, it did work. After again a very long reboot.
This worked 2 weeks and suddently I had a blue screen and since then I cant use XMP anymore (maybe I'll have to check the RAM's). Just to tell you, my RAM's are officially supported in the list.
Ok, I don't care anymore, got my 128Gb RAM again in, without XMP.
P.S. The Battery is unter the right heat shield. And it's connected from the back.
So when in 10 years (I hope it lasts so long) and I have to replace the battery, I will have to remove the motherboard from my case, since the screws are from behind. LOL, will have to rebuild my setup from ground to replace the battery. :(
End of story. Yes, it is a nice Board. But since 30 years, I was building my computers myself, I see a decrease of functionality and increase of costs.
Something is going totaly wrong in this business.
But I like the board.
p.s.s. sorry for my bad english...

Yes, every 7000 series cpu's

Budget? Its £230 haha
You've clearly not spent £700+ on a motherboard before
@TheProvokedPrawn which would be high end.. but there's motherboards cheaper then this.. which I would consider budget.. £230 would be mid range
