no problem! i’m glad it was hopeful for you. it’s definitely recommended to get a 5% sun strip on the windshield just to add contrast. and… during the daytime it really doesn’t have much of an effect with the 50% windshield. but at night or sunset… the front windshield is fairly dark
thank you for watching! just make sure to clean your front windshield from the inside as well.. use soap and water to clean it up. dry it off .. and finish off by using windex or glass cleaner. do all this before taking it to the shop because sometimes the tint shop people miss a few spots of dirt on your glass and then you end up getting air bubbles on the tint film. it is definitely worth getting 50% .. makes a pretty good difference at night.
it’s a good set up. in pennsylvania there has been no issues with cops at all. i mostly drive during the day , so i never really had that issue on mind. but i understand what you mean. 50% is perfect, anything lower than that is really dark for the windshield and will cause attention from cops. i’ve driven past 5 cops so far and they don’t even say anything. but when it rains during the day (there is less sunshine) so the front windshield tint will appear pretty dark. but i think it looks amazing, because you can still see my steering wheel and little trees hanging on my rear view mirror. let me know how your civic setup works out? i hope this helped out a little

my tint shop guy cut a square around where the inspection stickers are. or else it could ruin the tint by taking the stickers on and off every year.
