Best breed ever, hands down. Doesn't drool as much as a Cane Corso, not even close. Doesn't really drool at all, unless it's really hot and doing physical activities. Very protective and super smart, so loving and sweet. Best dog ever. So easily trained. Listens like no other.
Excellent video that is filled with valuable information. My 2yr old Presa Broly, is going through that terrible two stage. He's more active, playful and silly, than any of my Presa were. I take them to the woods and let them go primal lol. They are a consistent work that should be done with love and leadership

I got my boy at 2 years old he had no outdoor training at all I tried every training technique going and didn't seem to be getting anywhere then suddenly like a switch just after he turned 3 he got everything at once now he's amazing he's brilliant with other dogs and people good off lead so playful and loving but he also can read the situation brilliant if I don't like you neither will he I know me and my daughter are safe when he's around absolutely brilliant dog can do everything best dog I've owned by far
@robsadler3311 that's the age where they finally start to get it 🤣🤣. I went through this with all of my Presa but Broly is the worst 🤣. He has his aunt and his other relatives to keep him in check but he cracks me up being a big silly kid 🤣. I appreciate you for sharing your experience. It's good to have a community that understands and cares about these majestic protectors.
I have an A3 Presa. He’s my first dog. I’m a less than 100 lb weak little girl, but he listens and learns well; as long as I’m calm and not anxious.

Absolutely awesome dog, good on you for putting this important info out there. I see Cane Corso and Presa Canario dogs getting more and more popular and a lot of people don't understand the commitment and time needed to make these dogs work out as a family pet.

I have one up in Canada
She is good with people , but not on her lead, she won’t let anyone walk up to me
I have to make her sit, I drop the lead go up to person than invite her over
She is extremely protective probably overprotective.
We've had 2 Neos and a bull mastiff. Just rescued a 6 week old puppy, now 11. So far so good but man he's busy

Weather has turned and shes terrified of the rain etc, any advice?

My lab loves the rain, my chihuahuas didnt, my staffie just didjt care either way, but my presa x gsd is scared of everything....while people are scared of her *faceslap* (using a new phone hence the different account and struggling to find the relevant emojis lmao)
im always with my dogs :) except for medical appointments, then i can only take my lab cuz shes an assistance dog.
although one appointment i have every wednesday im not allowed in the waiting room after putting a hole in the wall (staff made me mad) so i take my presa x pup cuz its in the city centre so a good opportunity to help my pup get used to busier places than when shes just out for a walk in my neighbourhood, plus she gets to interact with the staff whereas at home she only gets to interact with me and the nurses who visit me each morning.
sometimes people tell me shes beautiful in the street but theyre usually too scared to even come close to her, let alone pet her 🤣

Very much will depend on bloodline, initial raising, and what you are doing with them
Mine is just 10 months and Super protective, But great with any family member, she is super sweet. But really does not like anyone approaching her yard. If she meets them then she is fine as long as she see's That I approve of them.

Do not slap these dogs around to make them mean and if your going to train it to attack you better inow what your doing.Pit bulls can be dangerous but Presa can be very deadly if trained wrong
A pit has less than 1/2 or 3/6 bite force of a wolf, a Presa has 5/6 bite force of a wolf. 2 of them will easily kill a full grown grizzly bear. 3 if the grizzly is a mama.
My 14 month male pressa is a character. But as you say he needs lots of exercise and has his daily routine of what I class as his patrol walks.he is social from a pup..but has gone crazy when my neighbours bitch is in heat..great companion and is always looking out for me..yes time and effort...
I wouldn't say unmatched. The Cane Corso in on the same level but with double the bite force.

You will want to check for your area as we are in Texas, and insurance companies will differ greatly from state to state

I'm in the UK so might be different where you are but in my experience as long as it's not a banned breed they'll cover it.
They tend to charge silly prices for these kinda breeds though 😢

I've owned a Rottweiler, Pitbull, French Mastiff and Boerboel with no problems. So my next dog which will be the Presa will be a breeze. Pick an awesome breeder and research the breed and you'll have no issues..
It's not what you say. So many subpar breeding going on that this breed will be ruined. It's already happening now
My second 1 came from a subpar breeder. So many issues! I was in love with him the moment he came in to my arms.

Definitely not 100 % Presa. That i can guarantee.. If you read the standards. The dog doesn't fit at all.
Cutting their ears off is cruel and makes them look really weird. It should be illegal
It's not, and it doesn't. Loads of things should be illegal in the USA. This isn't and is done for a reason, regardless of how you feel

So what are the reasons besides being done for cosmetic purposes?
Cropping the ears is actually done to maintain breed standards. It’s not at all cruel and it looks awesome. Also how many dogs with cropped ears do see at the pound? None. Because people that crop their dogs ears do not give up their dogs. It’s known that putting in extra care and money equals a better dog.
I had Boerboels before and their ears aren’t docked. We have 2 presas and the way they play, I don’t think their ears would survive if they weren’t docked. They play ROUGH!!!
