Hassan Diarra’s got some talent. He could be better than people think this next year. In practice clips he’s being a vocal leader and motivating the guys to step up. Last year it was Tristan Newton leading the charge as the lead point guard and final four MOP. This year it could be Diarra. That’s what great programs do pass the torch from one leader to the next.
Love the podcast! Was at the 04 Final Four the last 4 mins against Duke was arguably the greatest 4 mins in Husky hoop history. And wow did you nail Billy Packer it all started with the 99 final when he called it a Duke coronation in the pre-game

I'm a CT boy, but in 2004, was a frosh in the Piedmont Triad playing baseball for Elon U.
We had an away series that weekend and I will never forget making a bet with one of our best relievers, a senior at the time, who was a huge Dookie.
We had curfew, meaning we couldn't all watch the game together, but I could hear him a few rooms down going crazy as Duke pulled away around 3-4 min mark in second half.
Then, Emeka and Rashad came to life and my teammates room got awfully quiet. He wouldn't even look at me at breakfast the following morning 😂
