You misunderstood when he said Pippen was the lone all star he played with in Chicago. Pippen was the only active allstar he played with while in Chicage. Rodman was on his way out the league before he come to Chicago and was only and allstar in Detroit and Horace grant became an allstar in Orlando after he left the Bulls. So technically he is correct, pippen was the only active allstar he played with on a Jordan led team.

Rodman wasn't even in Chicago during his All-Star seasons. He was literally one of the Bad Boy Pistons beating up MJ and Scottie in the paint.
During MJ's championship runs, he only had 1 All-Star teammate in Scottie Pippen.
And during his first and last championship runs, Pippen wasn't even an all-star.
MJ carried a team as the lone all-star in 91 and 98.

    • @tendousouji14344
      @tendousouji14344 3 дня назад +1

      this is very simple....
MJ's team started from scratch. they have to develop. the coaching team have to develop. (you may also wonder why they fired doug collins when they are reaching conference finals and put the zen master instead but it is on another topic) when the team reached their potential they are unstoppable. if you would really try to watch mj's game he is not a ball hog as what everyone is saying. he would let his team do their thing first and he will see who can help the team win. but if he cannot see it he would take the matter on his own hands.
as for Lebron, he goes and create teams with players who are already established stars. you may watch AOH's breakdown as well who are his different teammates and how established they are before they team up with lbj

Sorry, I lose respect for anyone who says "this generation has better competition". As if Jordan didn't have to play against Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Hakeem, Isiah Thomas. The people who say this never really watched these other players so they don't know how good they were.
People forget that MJ averaged 37 ppg one year. The rules now give the offense the advantage. The spacing in the NBA makes it so easy to score which is why scores are in the 130s everynight. If you placed Jordan with the amount of skill he had in this league where the rules favor the offense and he has the kind of space to work he would average 50-60 easy. Even players like KG who played against both Bron and MJ have said this.

  • @SirPorter
    @SirPorter 9 дней назад +19

Did you say that MJ's whole starting 5 was hall of famers? That's funny. He played with 3 people who were inducted into the hall of fame. Pippen, Rodman, and Kukoc (Inducted as an international player). The "Inducted as an international player" is significant because it's based on his contributions to the game internationally and not because of how he performed as a member of the bulls or while in the NBA. As a comparison, Lebron has played with Dwayne Wade, Shaquille O'neal, Ray Allen, Chris Bosh, and Ben Wallace who have already been inducted and these players who are widely recognized will be inducted soon: Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, Dwight Howard, and Russell Westbrook. Lebron has never created a dynasty, nor has he dominated any era of basketball, nor is any of his championship teams in the top five of greatest teams in NBA History. In just 13 years MJ won all of his collected trophies and accolades GAME OVER. I Guess MJ being the GOAT is why he didn’t need any superteams to have such an impressive career resume.

I'm sorry but the idea that Jordan retired from basketball so that he could go play baseball is absurd. There's a vital piece of information missing from that explanation. He'd retired from basketball because his father was murdered and left on the side of the highway. Baseball is just what happened in the end.. well, before the end, if you will.
Edit: some would argue he took this hiatus because he was in trouble for gambling. Either way, the death of his father is the reason in the media why he retired from basketball that first time.

Throws teamates under the bus. And gets coaches fired. The facts don’t lie. It’s Jordan. Then everyone else. Jordan almost always played all 82 games plus playoffs led a college team undefeated against nba teams leading up to the Olympics. Also. Jordan kept hall of famers from getting a ring. While Lebron recruited hall of famers to win a ring. Also. The Jordan era was way tougher than it is now. Jordan world acreage 50 easily with the new rules.

You really should first read, study, watch more before making any sound comment! Rodman played with the Bulls and MJ for three seasons '96-'98 when he was one of the best rebounders and defenders but nowhere near an all-star! Not to mention he was 35+ years old when he joined the bulls! As for the competition let's not forget that MJ played in an era of duos not super-teams! Why is Lebron's competition harder when it has the same amount of superstars(3) as your team does? And one other thing: people consider a great amount of players great just because they won titles during Lebron's era while at the same time dismiss a great amount of greats just because they never had the chance to win a title during MJ's reign! And that's the difference between winning a title and going to the finals! You would speak quite different in regards of Clyde, Barkley, Ewing, Kemp, Stockton, Malone had they ever won a title!

I can absolutely disagree with that, the 90's NBA was far more physical and, less restrictions, you didn't get calls for every move made like you do now, you could get more rough with your opponents without being set on the bench for a foul this or a foul that which allowed them to keep playing, now using today's playing system where everything is a foul and anything can get you sat out, the player's from the 90's would have free range to score without the worry of being fould or set out they would have more of an opportunity to score higher.

Pippen joined the Bulls in 87, two years after Michael. The bulls didn’t start winning until Jordan hit the gym and got bigger so he could take all the hits, punches, and pushing from other players and when Phil Jackson introduced the triangle offense.
Rodman was at the end of his career with the bulls. Literally no other team wanted Rodman. If Michael hadn’t talked the bulls into getting Rodman he would barely be remembered and he definitely wouldn’t be in the hall of fame. Rodman was not an all star during his time with the Bulls. Y'all get the game twisted. This players aren't necessarily more talented, the league just allows them to break the moves. The stuff these guys are doing, Street ballers have been doing that since the 70's

People keep saying this generation has better offensive skills and more athletic, but they don’t talk about the weak defence they face. If 5hey are so athletic, then why are these players load managing and still gets injury prone. And don’t forget, the best player in the league right now is not a very athletic player, remember the joker?! So don’t tell me the players today can beat the player of yesterday!!!

The one thing Jordan has above all is his competitive nature! Every second of practice was a competition for him! Lebron is a more gifted athlete than Jordan was in some ways. He is bigger and stronger than Jordan. Jordan had speed and made adjustments in the air that were insane.

Jordan took the Bulls to the playoffs his first year with the team, and every year he played with them. And Rodman and Kucoch weren't part of the first 3peat. Also, before you say Jordan as a Wizard was no where near his former self or LeBron today...check the tape.

A couple of things. No one acts like the Wizards years didn't happen. What y'all can't seem to accept is the context of that time. MJ bought the cheapest valued team in the league, with worst attendance in the league, which was thee reason he suited up. He is still the greatest draw the league has ever seen.

  • @timgray3790

Btw Jordan’s bulls won 72 games. The 80’s and 90’s was far more skilled. Rodman never won an all star as a teammate

Michael Jordan is highly respected for the way he presents himself, the way he responds when things don't go his way, and for going through the growing pains. He lost through so many years in the beginning because it takes failure to become successful. It takes time to create a dynasty. Michael Jordan stuck around for it. He didn't follow who was winning. He waited for the team to be built, and he taught those guys how to win and be a team.
Success has to be built. That is why Lebron isn't respected. Lebron never grew up to understand that. If he stayed in Cleveland all this time and maybe only won one championship in his career, he would be much more respected. Old school sports fans are loyal to teams, most often the team of the city they're from, not individual players. For that reason, Cleveland fans will forget Lebron the day they win a championship again.

Jordan had Rodman and Kukoc for 3 years bro and the only Hall of Fame player he played with from 1988-93 was Scottie Pippen!! Before that he had zero help, so you need to go ahead and educate yourself cuz your "facts" are so far off it's not even funny!! Rodman averaged 4 points a game and Kukoc wasn't even a starter for most of the Bulls 2nd 3pt. Stop it

Com'on man. There is no such thing as a bad 60 win team. And beating the Warriors one time, is not enough to carry Lebron to the greatest. It's 1 series out of 4. ONE.

I can easily say players from the late 80's through 90's were better, stronger, faster, and more skilled than today's players for the simple fact that they had to earn every point and statistic they got.
There is limited defense today to the extent that it doesn't even look like basketball. These guys would not be scoring as much as they do if real defense was allowed. We know hand checking was removed to increase point scoring. The reason why is it's a huge benefit on defense. When hand checking, the defender can feel where the defender is going. Our brain senses and interprets touch much more quickly allowing the defender to respond faster. This made it much more difficult to score compared to today they have to go purely of vision.
The other thing is a step back move did not exist because it's a travel. When trapped, they had to pass it, or perform a fade away shot. If these guys today couldn't perform their Olympic long jump step back to create space, they wouldn't have near the points they have. Previous players would've doubled their scoring if they didn't have to face a defense or could jump backwards to create space for a more open look.

In my opinion the warriors are one of the best teams in history they are my favorite team right now. but the 96’ bulls were another level. The only reason being that Jordan was gonna guard curry while Pippen would guard KD and then Rodman would neutralize draymond, not even draymond would be able to guard Jordan, Kd might be able to stop Pippen, that’s the biggest flaw if todays game is that there is no actual defense, not like in the 90’s or early 2000’s. Anyway thanks for the reaction, nice video. 👍👍

I will also make the case that part of the reason todays players are better scorers is BECAUSE the defese is easier. If the players today had to go against the way the defense was played back in the day they their offense wouldnt be as good.

If today's players are so physically gifted and fantastic why do they need to load manage? Also old school players all played both ends of the court. The term two way-player is a fairly new term not previously used during 80's and 90's.

"LeBron's level"???????? No, LeFemme has never played to Jordan's level, ever. I challenge you to go find a video of Jordan flopping, whining, throwing tantrums on the floor, traveling every game (and getting away with it), committing obvious offensive fouls (per the rule book and not getting called for it), yelling at refs (and not getting a technical), and not hustling on defense. I can guarantee you won't find any of that. Jordan achieved more in less time (13.5 season) than James (20 seasons).
Even with FACTS, LeFemme fans are so brainwashed that they still think it's false. China endorses LeFemme (and own ESPN). Agree with their politics (go woke) and do what they say (crossdress) and they will take care of you ("No party like a Diddy party!!!"). The propaganda tactic always works with young people (children, teens, young adults). That has always been a communist/socialist/marxist tactic.
Today's NBA players are not better than the 80's and 90's era NBA players. Go watch Kenny Smith's interview with Mark Jackson and he will explain it.

  • @windingroad9196

Having the best finals comeback in NBA history isn't a measurement of who the goat is. Does it help? Yeah. But it's not the bar. Jordan didn't face elimination in the finals. I'm a Clevelander man.. that championship hangs from my rafters... and still doesn't move the bar.
What we're not going to do is act like you didn't just finish saying the today's league is far easier to score in... and then in the very next breath say, the players of Jordan's era don't match up to the players of today. What you're trying to do is use my generations argument against the Oscar Robertson's and John Havlicek's... their competition was mailman, plumbers, police, in construction workers. Jordan's era was filled with Olympic athletes and players who did 3 and 4 years of college basketball. There were occasional high schoolers that transitioned to the pros, sure. But overall you can't say that about Jordan's competition. It's nonsense.

My man you have zero clue throwing out fake facts... 5 HOF lol... He had one other allstar his entire career... Just Pippen.. If you knew the game, you would talk about rule changes over everything else. Why fans stop watching with this cupcake league that is losing views and season ticket holders at an alarming rate... You can always spot the fanboys. That isn't what happen with rule changes. The only rule they added was t's for hard fouls then 2003 they added no hand check then added defensive 3 seconds and later Curry rules no checking player going through the lane... You have been sheepled son with your bad takes.. Do your own research and stop listen to clutch sports
