Been thinking about those fried green toms which are 15' away. I gave a few nice ripe ones to my neighbor. She commented how her friends admired my tom "orchard". This has been a good season for gardens here in So. Central Montana. Hot, no rain or hail storms. So my wife is not too enthused about fried green tomatoes. She is a Minnesota German gal-- doesn't take to spicy southern food, tho we enjoy a "northern" version of red beans and rice. So the next time she makes a batch, I may sneak a dose of Slap Ya Mama into it. It may turn out to be something to give it that extra "kick". I should add here, you have a handsome family, dear lady, that is lucky to have a talented cook in the family. I've never been to the south other than San Antonio, Texas for military training in '65. Nor do I wish to-- as the heat and high humidity would surely kill me. I'm only partly joking here. 75 degrees is ideal for us here. Back to my tom crop -- after many years of fooling with tomatoes 🍅, and much research on RUclips this past winter, I have given up on nursery grown plants. Started seeds on 3/10 and babied them all the way. With 10 plants, I may have gone a bit overboard this year, but I've learned a lot I've never considered before in the past. I just think there is nothing like a red ripe Tomato anywhere in the world. Thank you for indulging me here, my friend. Cheers and thank you for sharing some of your family and recipe for what I hope will be a taste treat to some of my friends and family. ( My grandson eats hot peppers like they are candy ). I am from New York and never in my life ever saw or tasted a fried green tomato. I now live in Alabama and a neighbor brought over some green tomatoes to enjoy. So, I looked up recipes on RUclips and came across this one. I got all the ingredients and followed the directions. We just finished eating our fried green tomatoes 30 minutes ago. WOW. Tasted like something I would get in a restaurant. And that sauce was perfection! Anyone who hasn't tried these before, I recommend giving it a chance and using THIS recipe. They were awesome!
My husband made the fried green tomatoes this dipping sauce and in addition made coconut shrimp and that sauce was off the hook. We found this sauce can be used with anything... Seafood, fried tomatoes and fried plantains. The sauce is very universal. Thank you!!

Wonderful tip for the “drawing the moisture out” and especially the “wet & dry hand”. I’ve breaded many times and have always been annoyed by the “Caky fingers” that I rinse at least 3 times LOL. Also, you have a beautiful family 🥰 🙏
