Good stuff per usual. Applying after speaking w potential leadership has worked. Allows for a tailored cover letter that references the convo. Optimizing LinkedIn is huge, then connecting w hiring manager. Deliver personalized value and pose conversation starting question in sub-40-word DM. Connect with org leadership. Set meetings. 100 applicants maybe 2 actually execute.
I have minimal sales experience but have alot of IT experience that I'm trying to pivot to something valuable in tech sales, what kind of job titles in sales should I be seeking
Hello Trent, I am Nigerian based remote worker and Upwork top rated plus freelancer, can I get a role in Tech Sales for International companies. I see a lot of companies wanting employees from the same country which is seriously a downside for me as I really love to work with a US based company. I will appreciate a feedback on what next to do as I am interested in signing up with coursecareer.
I remember from old video you mention a specific site you search for a sales companies based on your preferences and values. what was the name of the site?
How are you sure AI won't replace us? Especially cold calling, setting meetings etc. I would be 100% sure that will be replaced by AI soon unless it will be strictly regulated like forbidden to use, companies stop using phones etc. Even I'm at the beginning of my Sales journey I already keep in mind that I might only can do this 2-3 years and need enough savings until then to figure out what to do next. Am I wrong? I hope I'm wrong.
With depression rates on the rise as technology increases- I thinks there’s going to actually be a big spike in human interaction soon as most ppl realized how sad and depressing living the “robotic” life is. The lack of tradition nowadays in replacement for “optimality” has generally made every other task less enjoyable. Again this is just my opinion
Hey Trent, I find your videos super helpful. What kind of position would you suggest to apply to for someone who has a successful history as an account manager in Medical Devices. BDR/SDR or Account Executive? Would prefer not to start over again but I appreciate your candor.
The quality of hiring process in big companies like Snowflake has really degraded. For entry level jobs, especially in India, whatever the JD is the company does not stick to it until the end of the interview process. Really depends on the interviewer (who generally is the SDR manager), they select the candidate based on what is convenient to them and not follow the company values and process.
Bro! You just popped in my feed and i see you havent made a video in a while. I myself am in the industry and understand. Im subbed and turned on notifications. 🦾
