This is phenomenal. Never heard one explaining it on such a real level, things you mentioned like company politics and ways around them are rarely spoken about. Being new to a lot this video proved very useful.
Pretty similar to my experience with wholesaling real estate, a lot of cold calling sellers. Lots of rejections, but you just need that one yes to makeup for the no's.
Awesome video very interested in tech sales. Not so much in cold calling since I used to do it but had 200 calls per day I think that’s what drives me away the dreadfulness of so many calls. The idea of cold email to generate leads and get on the phone to make a potential sale So much better like heaven haha
Thanks a lot brother transitioning from the HCM industry selling cloud-based technology to a more enterprise space my wife sent your video and this was great insight. Godspeed 🥂
I found the video to be quite informative! Could you provide some tips on how to effectively handle cold emails/calls/messages? Additionally, what are some topics or numbers that your team typically discusses during meetings?
Thanks for this! Question what are the hours like? Typical 40 hours? Flexible? Longer? I want a gauge for this because I have a business on the side, which requires daytime hours and would like to know (coaching business) Ps has anyone said you look like Fred armisen :P
Hi Patrick I am an ex-software engineer with 2.5 years experience who has gone through a closing mentorship (tons of role-plays, training and coaching calls) and taken some real closing calls. I want to live a remote lifestyle, internationally, and have milestones of 10k, then eventually 30k per month. I am a New Zealand citizen. How you recommend approaching sales? Approaching coaches and consultants in the High Ticket space? Landing a tech sales role? Something else? Thank you, Stefan
Thank you for the insights, they are very helpful. I think I would like Tech sales. But there is one last thing I’m not sure about. And I’m wondering if you could answer it for me. I want a job that is 100% remote. And if I get all my work done (meet all my quotas), I want to be able to be done working. And not be tied to 40 hours a week. Would tech sales be a job where I could make that happen? A lot of people talk about sales as a good way to make more money. But can you be good at it and have more time instead? Thank you for your time!
That’s a good question! I would love to know the answer to this as well. I’m looking for the flexibility of a remote position as well. Hopefully someone can answer for the both of us.
I am interested to being a tech sale. Would you recommend this job to someone who studied a course aligned with education? Does it have a target number of sales?
Love the video Patrick! New subscriber here :) question, I’m currently a mortgage loan officer looking to a Territory Account manager at this cyber security firm, you think it would be a good move as I am going to night school for for my BA? Thanks!
I refuse to do this kind of job. I know I can make so much damn money since I am such a social person and kind of already do "sales" but I just hate sales people and cold emails and all the bullshit that comes with it.

It's so useful to have a job explained in a simple, jargon free way.

Hello, may I know what are exit opportunities in tech sales in addition to entrepreneurship?
How much time is spent crafting the email vs time looking for the company/person to email?
Great content! Thanks for your work!
Love your videos, great tips.
However, nice jacket where is it from?
I love your videos and follow you every day Patrick. I follow you so much that now even my comments are personalized! ;)

How do you find your customers?
so it's cold calling tele marketing?

Excellent video
Very nice video! I really enjoyed your wisdom!
Thanks for watching.
Is it high stress? Good work life balance?
sounds like it
A bit. But it varies hugely depending on the company. A toxic team or harsh manager makes it 10x more stressful.
Great work life balance, higher you are in tech sales the more stressful it can be
I got offered technical sales. I have BS chem. should I take the job.
Great video!!
good one brother
This is really helpful.
Thank you.
glad to hear it was helpful

Where did you get that jacket.
hi Patrick
great your video greetings from Bolivia 🇧🇧👍👍
No-one can explain what TS is, what do you actually sell, and to who
It depends on the company & what they sell.
Mostly technically software that will
Advance companies
Do all tech sales jobs require cold calling or cold emailing
So its like, whole sale real estate, but for tech?
pretty much
you are the asian fred armisen!
Awesome video
thanks.

Ok?
Sales is too complicated😢
What saas company is this?
Software As A Service
I hate sales. Can you just advertise it and do your own inbound leads...
Could I ask if tech sales is also called tech consultants?
My degree is sales engineering
