Hi Patrick, big fan of yours. Actually, I am 3 years experienced B2C sales professional in ed-tech & BFSI and want to switch my career into tech sales like B2B SaaS, so I need some resume-building tips, any resources that you can suggest??
Also, being able to sell yourself, regardless of having any relevant experience or not, is perhaps the best demonstration of you having what it takes to be a great salesperson.
Also, don't undervalue transferrable skills you've gained from a different field. Especially if you're getting into sales as a career change rather than entry-level. Most job roles help you build skills useful to sales in one way or the other.

@@AlbeezyOfc that job didn’t work out. It was a solar sales job but the company fell apart. They didn’t know what they were doing. Everyone left lol. Now I’m looking for something more concrete and realistic

Good luck, hopefully you’ll find a good sales job!! I just wanted to ask what type of degree do I need for this job? Does it have to be a computer science degree or can I work with a business administration degree?
It can be any degree. I had a business admin degree but my peers had mathematics, English, philosophy, etc. doesn't matter too much on what degree you have because schools generally don't each sales so you have to learn from the ground up
Liking the new hair style Patrick! I'm also doing a career switch to tech and your videos are really useful for someone without relevant work experience like myself. Thank you so much
I'm selected by an online E-commerce venture within their online sales segment. I found this Sales legacy training part useful as well to gain an in-depth idea about sales before starting. Waiting for more tutorials from you so that I can gain more knowledge about online sales platform.
Companies are looking for people that can get a meeting and close deals. It’s does not matter about anything else. Either you have the ability to get meetings and close or you don’t. If you have no experience look for a company that is willing to give you an inside sales job BDR. It’s a 2 year track at least. No degree is required. Interviewing is not the way you are going a high paying sales job. You will know the people that are hiring. He does give good advise on mass hiring for entry level to start.

Hi Patrick! I've learned so much with your videos in just 3 days lol, any advise for people in LATAM that are actually looking to get into this industry and get a great job in B2B sales?
Don't forget that there's other sales careers beside the highly difficult and sporadic tech sales (look how frequently thousands are let go from these companies every time the wind blows the wrong way!)... Home improvement sales is far more steady and amazing for those who love design and homestyle - and pays bank too! $200k/yr is average where I’m at in SEA. 👍 Newbies do $150k/yr average their first year and quickly climb to over $200K+ their second year... Plus a chill schedule because you don't punch a time card. You're paid for results, not reporting to a lame manager who wants to know why you're 3 min late getting to your cubicle...🤦♂
Hey Patrick, Love your video. Just a humble request from my side, after cold emailing, cold calling, I get people say yes for a meeting, but sometimes they get busy or something like that so don't show up. How can I followup with someone like that without sounding like a despo or something like that? A video on that would be great. Thank you again.
So for I want to do a remote customer service sales job because i did work at one job in person a store 🏬 job for three years and I excelled when it came to the sales and advertisement section. I was number one in promoting my job membership program, my job voucher system, point based reward system, and promo codes. I also did really well when it came to promoting a company partnerships product like me to we, red nose, vaccinations and vitamin angels . But will this work for remote job I hope so
All of your interview videos helped me land an A/E internship but I was not offered the job after it was completed... I am also having trouble figuring out where to go next now that I am recently graduated and job searching. Any recommendations for me as a recent graduate majored in management with B2B sales experience from my recent internship as an A/E for Schneider Electric?
Perhaps until you land a w2 employee SDR or AE position, consider getting SDR/appointment setter) or Closer (account executive) 1099/contractor positions with Mike Mark "coaching sales".

I'd say give it a shot and try to get interviews. Entry level sales roles don't require you to have a specific degree. As long as you have some degree that's enough to get your foot in the door. You don't need to be a "techie" to get a tech sales job
What if you someone who doesn't talk much or don't have good social skills? Can you over come that and they train you? It seems forever I'm looking for career but that I talk to my family let's say they say things that would make me demotivating
Totally possible, you just gotta find companies that are looking for experience/degree salespeople and most likely they'll train you from the ground up. Best of luck.
Typically to companies want to see a 4 year university degree but what you major in doesn't matter too much because they understand they will be training you from zero.
Some sales roles don't require you to have a college degree, but top tech companies like Google or Facebook generally want to see you have a 4 year university degree.

Yup. It’s critically important in just sales but any role. Network with the hiring managers and people high up in that function
What helped me nail my first sales development job was role playing with my interviewer (SDR Manager) on how I would open a call with a prospect.
