I wouldn’t say FASTER. Quicker for sure. It lowers your top speed but you gain a pretty good low end torque bump. Pretty useful if you’re the type that likes the front end light to come out of a corner or ride a wheelie.
Yea it dropped quite a bit but I gained a bit of lower end torque. That’s what I was going for. If you want to improve top speed I’d suggest going the opposite direction with sprockets. Possibly going one up in the front or dropping a couple teeth in the back. Any more than that your torque will suffer severely.
Do you have a power Commander on it? If so how is it you losing top speed like that. I have a power jet 5 and I am changing my sprocket this week. We just going to remapping and turn up the I will commander.
With this set up you’ll definitely loose something off the top end. The flip side is it’s pretty snappy on the low end. I figured I’d never do a top speed run and I love to rip corners and ride wheelies so this set up is perfect for me.
Yea I love it! It’s like a perfect mix. Torqey enough to get up and get away! But still has a great amount of top speed at high RPM’s. I can’t complain.
Hey man what is the difference in performance, I might do the same only if there is a noticeable difference as I don't want to focus on top speed as well. Iv got a raptor 700r 2021. It has heaps of torque im willing to trade top speed for more torque. Please let me know how it goes. Ps good video.
There was a noticeable difference on the low end. I can pick it up from a standstill in second gear with no clutch now. It’s not bad at all. I can tell it lost a little on the top end but nothing crazy.
So smaller sprocket gives lower toque but higher end speeds? or I'm I backwards? I just got a 22 RAPTOR 700 and barley touching the throttle it wants to take off.
Traditionally a smaller front sprocket or a larger rear sprocket will boost torque and lower top end speed. That’s why you see stunt mikes with those HUGE rear sprockets because it pops the front end up way easier. I like hitting a wheelie every now and again so this upgrade helped out quite a bit.
I’m running 22x7’s in the front and 20x11’s in the rear. Rears are a little heavier but it really helps with shock absorption on long rides. I wouldn’t race em but if you’re just looking to have fun the ITP Holeshot-HD’s are legit.
@@quadkong5846 i do mostly trail riding and looking for a little more clearance on my 2020 Raptor. Not worried about top speed or racing. Any suggestions?
@@Dtownaero Yea if you’re looking to boost clearance that 22 from and 20x10 in the back helps a little without messing with your suspension. And they’re really notchy so no only are you gaining precious inches in height. You’re gaining traction as well.
You don’t HAVE to, but it is HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended. It’s best to change the chain whenever you change sprockets to prevent premature or uneven wear of the sprockets. Especially if you’re jumping to an aluminum gear.

At time 10:01 why did he grind down two different links on the chain ?

great video brother! i wanted to change my front/rear sprocket on my 2021 raptor 700r se. what size sprocket did you use? x-ring on the chain as well?
I went with a 13T front sprocket and a 40T rear sprocket. The chain is a X ring as well. It’s holding up exceptionally well!
Quick question my boy , does this kit make the bike move a lot faster ?
I wouldn’t say FASTER. Quicker for sure. It lowers your top speed but you gain a pretty good low end torque bump. Pretty useful if you’re the type that likes the front end light to come out of a corner or ride a wheelie.

Anti seize prevents bolts or threads from being rusted together, has nothing to do with heat and melting items. Just letting you know
Yeah it does prevent threads from galling due to heat/vibration.
Idk if I missed it, but did you had to cut some links of the chain?
I did. It was one link too long so I cut it off and it’s perfect now.

Going smaller sprocket in front and bigger in the rear slows you down !!
You went backwards
He said he went for torque over speed he said he really don’t have a reason to go faster but wants it to be more aggressive
@@chrisjackson1763 … Oh, I did hear that
Maybe put it in gear before torqueing that drive nut down if the chain is not on...
That what I did. I put the chain on, put the bike on the ground, put it in gear and then torqued it to spec.
