    You’re the best.
    About to change the sprockets and chain on the ol 450 RL and it’s been awhile.
    Still learned many things from your video.
    Many thanks and have a Merry Christmas!

      Yeah that was funny.
      Usually his wife but this time buddy and his reaction is the best.
      Then he starts talking about the one on top having to hold it but not to tight or something that was unintentional but funny.
      Cheers

    Great video. I'll probably need to use Jay's techniques soon as I'm still running the stock chain.

    Time for a sprocket and chain change. I think that this is one of the most over looks maintenance items.

    I do prefer to change chain and sprockets together. Pitch changes on chain and sprocket as they wear. So, new on old won’t match up properly and wear even faster.

    • @NickW90
      @NickW90 Год назад +1

      He’s not breaking them loose with a t handle. He’s breaking them loose from the nut with a wrench. If you trying breaking the bolt loose theres a good chance you’ll strip the head

    Good stuff , appreciate the videos. Question on chains. I have a brand new in package DID ERT2 gold chain - has been on shelf for 4 years . May be a dumb Q but assume it is good to run? Thanks again

    At 10.17 are you saying that a chain breaking tool can be used instead of the angle grinder?

    • @disneylandlover80
      @disneylandlover80 12 дней назад +1

      yeah, I wouldn't use a grinder, idk why it's so popular, it's a shop he's at idk why they don't have a chain breaker, just find the chain you have and look up a chain breaker for that size, doesn't necessarily have to be for your bike specifically just the right chain size, most likely a 420 chain if dirt bike

    Is it advised to buy new bolts when doing the sprocket or can i reuse the ones on the bike?

    Can’t you just buy a new chain that’s the correct size without grinding?

  • @LuckyNikitaBoba

    Kinda annoying. There's a specialty tool for everything. Keep it simple. Some folks don't have the budget to buy every convenient tool.

      People shouldn't buy bikes if you can't afford to maintain them or buy tools to do the job

    • @LuckyNikitaBoba

      @@beekeeperbrad6251 You must have a tool to lube the chain.
