Hitting Red Sands on a 2020 Yamaha Raptor 700R SE. ( ASV C6 Levers / Fly Racing Handlebars )!!!
We took a quick trip to Red Sands out in El Paso, Texas. It’s a cool place to ride and open up your machine. The dunes are perfect for getting into and out of corners.
I tried out a few mods, including the ASV C6 levers I installed. They’re amazing. I felt like I had so much more control of the bikes functions and the Fly Racing High Handlebars reduced the arm lash quite a bit.
Links below on where to find the parts and a quick look at Red Sands Park. You can also find the hand guards at your local Cycle Gear .

Just a quick look at the LED whip I installed on my Raptor. I’d recommend it. At under $100 it’s a very practical LED whip with some pretty cool features. I’ll go more in depth once I do a night ride.

Just showing an easy way to relocate your ignition key switch on a Raptor 700R without buying an expensive kit. I also stripped the paint on my GYTR heel guards with Aircraft Cleaner and it really brings the look that I was searching for to match the bare aluminum GYTR Nerf Bars and Kenimoto Grab Bar. Give me a like/share/subscribe if this video helps you out. See you on the trails!!!

Would it be better to connect to the ignition?
Stole me a new 450cc😤🫡
So u gotta use a 30 ?
Nahhhh. You can use any fuse. My logic is just that a 30A is less likely to blow under load. Realistically you can do it with a paper clip but that carries a huge risk. Fuses are much safer for your machine should you have to resort to this in an emergency 👍🏾
Do I take the fuse from the fuse box on the atv?
If it’s a spare fuse you can. I’d use an external fuse though.

Only Airborne ADA battery in the world
For all you fucking theives.. Thank this man..
Nice tutorial men really helpful explaining every single details nice
Only thing you got to watch out for is it over heating due to it not wanting to kick the radiator fans on
Fire
Where u get that odometer from man?
I know this a bit old but did you keep the 100 link chain or did you shave it down to 98?
How did you cut out the notch for key hole?
I just used a simple bore bit for an electric drill. I can’t remember the size for the life of me though. Apologies. I’m new to this tutorial thing and I should have included the types of tools I used.
Anti seize prevents bolts or threads from being rusted together, has nothing to do with heat and melting items. Just letting you know
Yeah it does prevent threads from galling due to heat/vibration.
Is that front bumper metal?
Yup! It’s the stock bumper
Lenght is 3 ft.?
Will this work for the yfz450 . Not to fond of adding the wires .
Yup! I had to do it for my daughters quad. Works exactly the same. I like using the wires because the front plastics cover the harness. If you run wires up you can quickly disconnect them so you don’t kill the battery because it’ll stay on as long as the circuit is closed. If you plug a fuse in and then put the plastics back on you’ll have to take them back off to get to the fuse to unplug it. Just takes too much time.
How do I run the wires? I’m back home so I have my key now . Just in case I forget it again. Don’t want to miss out again
What drill bit did you use ??? Terrible video btw. You explain nothing. But hey I put my key here.
Or… you could read the title of the video. It’s not a how to video. I posted to show that it can be done without buying the relocation kit and where “I” mounted it and ran the wires. How about trying it if you want to do it, or if not move TF on. I don’t do negativity around here. I don’t remember what drill bit I used and I probably wouldn’t tell you now if I even did. Figure it TF out ✌🏾.
Is that trail tech from Amazon ?
Sure is! Works great!
I’ve got the same chain removal tool!!!😉😂
Awesome

Love it but I just don’t understand why people don’t like the emergency brake.
Wow It’s that easy no wonder these get stolen left and right

Bros Bumpin in the background 😂😝
Hey man where did you buy them rollers on your rear grab bar?
I made them. I just went to Walmart and bought some pool noodles, cut them to size and then wrapped them in gorilla tape they work really well if you tape them up right.
Quick question my boy , does this kit make the bike move a lot faster ?
I wouldn’t say FASTER. Quicker for sure. It lowers your top speed but you gain a pretty good low end torque bump. Pretty useful if you’re the type that likes the front end light to come out of a corner or ride a wheelie.
This almost be happening to me 😂
Where did you buy the grab bar roller thing for wheelies?
Is your top speed lower cause you went down with the sprockets
Yea it dropped quite a bit but I gained a bit of lower end torque. That’s what I was going for. If you want to improve top speed I’d suggest going the opposite direction with sprockets. Possibly going one up in the front or dropping a couple teeth in the back. Any more than that your torque will suffer severely.
Wheeler did you get that wheelie bar from??
Link?
Aye thanks I forgot my key on a campin trip
Anytime!
Is this bad to do consistently
I would venture to say no. All the fuse is doing is closing the circuit. And worse come to worse before any damage is done to your electrical system the fuse will blow. But I only do it if I forget my key or in case of emergency. If you don’t have to do it I wouldn’t. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much i now own over 5 atv without spending a single cent🫶🏽
👌👌👌
🔥🔥🔥

Hey which hand guards are those exactly I have a 2020 raptor 700r and I want to buy those.
They’re Acerbis X-Factory handguards. You can find em at your nearby Cycle Gear if you don’t order em online.
@@quadkong5846 I'm looking forward to buy them online because I live in New Jersey. But I found the same one's you got on Amazon but its a little different. On the side yours say ASV on the side and the white is Brighter not even on their website the have it.
Ohhhhhhh!!!!!! Those ASV decals are stickers that came with the levers 😅. I just thought they’d look good there so that’s where I stuck em. Sorry for the confusion.
@@quadkong5846 Got it that's what I was thinking too. Good lucks man keep up the good work and thank you.
Why would you go up on both sprockets? If you want low end speed go up two in the back and go down one in the front and that will give you better low-end speed you kind of defeated the purpose by going up two in the back and going up one in the front I can't believe you even got a noticeable difference. When you want more top end you're supposed to go up a tooth in the front and down teeth in the back it's always the opposite from the back and front you don't normally go up in the back and the front or go down in the back and the front. My Raptor had a 14 tooth I went down to a 13 in the front and the back was a 38 and I'm going to a 40. If you take off the front sprocket that you went up on and put the original and you will notice more bottoman power because by going up in the front sprocket you're taking away from the bottom Power. LOL edit that. I just finished watching the whole video and I wrote all of that for nothing. I commented too early
So easy to steal tbh lmao
Thanks for this bro! I own multiple quad bikes without having to buy any and now looking to sell some off!
Bro i nees u asap how to start an atv
So smaller sprocket gives lower toque but higher end speeds? or I'm I backwards? I just got a 22 RAPTOR 700 and barley touching the throttle it wants to take off.
Traditionally a smaller front sprocket or a larger rear sprocket will boost torque and lower top end speed. That’s why you see stunt mikes with those HUGE rear sprockets because it pops the front end up way easier. I like hitting a wheelie every now and again so this upgrade helped out quite a bit.
I install the same whip but i notice my battery started drianing since install thinking about adding a switch just to cut off power when im not using it did you have same problem?
Yup! Mine too. What I did was just cut the positive and negative wires about 4-6 inches from the battery and then just add quick connect/disconnect bullet terminals. That was there’s no power coming to or from the whip until I connect the wires. It takes like 2 seconds to connect them back together, they’re weather proofed and it kept me from having to spend money on a new terminal and extra wiring.
@@quadkong5846 thats nice bud i just moved here to el paso got me a raptor 700r as well my first quad so berely learning how to use it and do mods
@@martinquinones9847 That’s dope. Let’s link up and ride sometime. I’m always down to get it in!
what exhaust is that ?
It’s a Curtis Sparks full system with a PCV fuel management system.
Reminds me of older polaris snowmobiles
I wish to know a place like that. Perfect for practice.
