Jeff and Dave you’re kind of my heroes, you guys get together and make magic
Wow, thanks for that! Much appreciated.
Back in the day, David Flores from "La Mafia" was my band director..he made it so fun..the fun stuck to me, 10 years later bought a sax n started playing again..
I'm glad y'all got rid of that one guy, he sounded like he didn't listen to the chosen one ever in his life :/
Jeff reminds me a lot of Harold Lands. Love it!
Definitely
I think Dave listened to a lot of Kenny Garett

Love your videos. Not only is the music good but the videos are of good quality as well! Very glad I found your Channel, it made my week
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that.
Wow this was great I might have to transcribe some of those lines yall were playing 👀
Thank you!! And if you do, let me know!
Jeff Reid! How yah been man? Miss you bro
I'm a new follower, love it! You guys sound so great!
Thanks so much - glad you dig it!!
Great as always! Welcome to OZ, Dave. Hope you're having a great time down here. New horn?
Thanks! I'm home now but it was a blast. Not a new horn - I was using Jeff's Super Action 80 series 2 while I was there!
Omgggg bruh I can feel the fun both of you guys had together trading 12s! It sounds so great. Also, what alto were you playing on in this video? And what tenor does Jeff play on?
Thanks so much!! Alto is Jeff’s Super Action 80 series 2 and the tenor is a Yamaha 62
nICE GAME...
👍🏻❤🎷
Giant steps for the next worldwide?
:)
Just getting into saxophone, I'm loving all of your content Dave! Will definitely be transcribing lines I hear from your videos; what song would you reccomend for a beginner to solo over?
Awesome! Have fun with that. I would start with something like a blues, or Impressions/So What (it's only 2 chords - lots of time to just create using rhythms, motifs, etc.)
Could you do impressions for your worldwide sessions?
That's a really good one - very possible!
Plz do that one with ur student was insane
1:33 bruh
What headphones are you using? What headphones do you recommend for musicians?
For this one I’m using my Shure in ear monitors, I forget the exact model. For studio stuff/monitoring at home I use Sennheiser 280 pros and love them- the in-ears are better for live monitoring at gigs, but because of travel I brought them because of their size
is there a transcriptions of daves
How does one learn to improvise like this?
Hours and hours of dilligent practice
Where is the 3 bars phrase from u both played? Is it a quote?
Where at in the video?
@@DavePollack 1:12 and 2:32
@@hollaarsch1 Oh! I think I played that when we were just messing around before recording, so he played it back to me (at 1:12) then I played it back to him, hahah. It's landing on the #11 of the V7b9 chord in a minor 2-5-1. It's a really cool sound!
@@DavePollack Thanks for answering. I really like it, sounds very concise. It could be a head of another tune :D
was that your silver selmer?
no, it's Jeff's (I didn't bring my horn when I went to Australia)
Is*
Hey Dave. What horn were you playing?
It's Jeff's Super Action 80 series 2
How's that super action doing?
It plays great! He got a great deal on it too
@@DavePollack Nice, but who is he anyway,is he the piano player from the grammy audition?
Not sure, but he looks like it!
@@DavePollack Was that a serie 2 or 3? I want a serie III for tenor personally but I've never tried the serie II for tenor though.
Absolute destruction from the both of you! Does anyone know what Jeff is playing at 1:58? It's such a cool line but I find it hard to transcribe :(
Thank you!! Umm...I'm not too sure! I know he's playing fast, that's about it hahah
I that your silver selmer
Nah I don’t own one- it’s Jeff’s Super Action 80 series 2
How do you improvise like that? I need help
