6th to the minor 3rd over a dominant 7 chord is such a cool sound Example 1:01 D to Ab below. I know it's a 251 turnaround on E7 A7 Dm but play an F7 there and you'll know what I mean
Excellent transcription and excellent piano player Peter Martin! I have a question, how exact is something like mm. 104 with those 6 eighth note triplets going into a grouping of 7? Do you think Peter Martin was thinking a grouping of 7 there or was it just eighth note triplets with an extra note added in? Either way great job!
this guy has practiced
and in all 12 keys i'd say

My mind is blown. Best Blues for Alice on sax - Roland Kirk, best one I've heard on piano - this one. Is there a chance to get PDF somewhere?

i think peter mustve thought about the scale and just running down like that instead of specifically thinking about groupings

The beaming in bar 51 is weird, it hurts my mind.
