A decade. 10 years later. And still. STILL. Unbeatable.
11 years now. Same way.
No one will ever be a better joker then Ledger
His legacy will Never die💯
#TheJokerGalaxy
Hello Guys I'm from the future 2087. Almost 80 years now and It's STILL Unbeatable!
Troy baker
With respect to Nicholson, Leto and Phoenix....Ledger brought something beyond unique to the Joker in that performance. Unpretentious, fluid and mesmerizing. He owned the screen in every scene. You forgot anyone else was in the scene with Ledger every time he appeared. I feel a little sorry for the great actors who have played the Joker since because although their portayals are excellent, they don't electrify the screen the same way Ledger did. Truly a talent that will be forever missed.
no respect to Leto. MF sent his costars dead rats with condoms on their heads.
He truly became the Joker to play the role.
No respect for Leto. His joker was trash
@@rodrigobarba930 Not trash but nothing compared to Ledger. Give Leto credit for making the best of a badly written Joker.
@@MadLFC Nope it was trash. Lots of actors are given bad scripts and make the most of it. His acting was horrible and super annoying. Every other name mentioned did a great rendition of the joker.
As someone who vividly remembers when news released of Heath being cast as The Joker, I can verify the fact that a lot of people were shocked and upset about it, myself included (maybe not upset, but definitely very weary). However, when the first trailer dropped, I knew I was wrong, and the movie proved it.
Hands down, one of the most iconic performances in cinematic history! It's so sad that he didn't make it to experience the response from the world towards his performance.
People needa grow up stop worrying bout something that ain’t gone make them money like an actor for a certain role smh
It was mostly homophobic comments about him starring in Brokeback Mountain.
@@barriniho Brokeback Mountain was well received. But I think it's fair that sometimes it's hard to dissociate an actor from a certain role. Sometimes you can't unsee it lol in this case, however, it wound up not being an issue.
Actors know this, btw. If you become too associated with a particular franchise, ad series, whatever, it becomes harder to find other work. Them's the bricks.
@@cubandade8469What a weird comment. There’s nothing wrong with making money, but there are other things that make life enjoyable. Maybe one day you’ll realise that
@@cubandade8469umm the joker is an iconic character that people were anxious to see again on screen. It is reasonable that they were worried that that character wouldn’t be pulled off correctly in the film
But we were all wrong and Heath’s performance changed everything
1:04 I love his smile
Eu gosto tbm
15 years later still a brilliant performance RIP Heath Ledger
Ledger was truly one of a kind - even in his worst films, 'he' was always amazing. His attention to detail in everything he did, from every bit of body language and vocal nuance, all of it was immaculate. Cinema and the world of art and creative storytelling is poorer without him in it.
Huge props to the unbelievable costume work by Linda hemming!! The costumes and accessories are essential to the unique type of fear that character emits, her contribution can’t be overstated
Yo 2024anyone here
Yessir
Yup 😅
Here while watching the dark knight 😊
Either this is a bot account or a very cringe comment
@@Wax_Man who gives a shit
No other Joker could ever top the epicness of Heath Ledger, truly legendary❤
Without a doubt, this was one of the best acting performances of all time. He had the ability to fill the screen and get the audience by just entering the scene. For me at least, top 5 performances. Respect to Nicholson, Leto and phoenix, but Ledger was way beyond.
Words cannot explain how much I love this movie and especially Heath’s performance. I can watch it any day at any time and I’m still blown away. We can only wonder what was to come next. 🤦🏻♂️ RIP, sir.
Who else love Christopher Nolan's voice???
Best director ever, who else like interstellar ? Best movie of Chris
I do it’s so relaxing.
@@MrRoach00 interstellar I love inception 👍😎
If you have insomnia you could listen to Chris Nolan's voice telling you a story and you'd be asleep in 10 minutes.
Who else love Heath ledger's voice
it’s 2022 and still no movie has topped
What Heath did is really a one off feat. Take it in. There will never be anything like it again in cinema. Truly astonishing
I think the same.
the one role i can sorta compare it to is either the machinist or american psycho, Bale and Heath had that same idea towards acting, it was brilliant
@@ayrtonpietrobelli6972 nah.. I think Heath ledger’s joker still surpasses everything..
@@Killacam1992 I don't know about surpassing all performances ever, but it's definitely up there.
There r 100s better
I think that one thing that makes Ledger Joker's disturbing is dat crescent song in background
It starts, and when it starts you can't see the ending. It goes, goes, and he still talks, and wave hands, and walks, looking and limping into everyone souls.
Gosh! He enters the scene, the background enters too, and when he's get out of it, we are exhausted.
When you hear that string crescendo you just know shit is about to go down
I see Till Lindeman on this wall and i am not surprised at all .
Great to see that he was part of the inspiration for the character design
Nolan should make a behind the scenes of joker in dark knight
They didn’t release the behind the scenes of him because he passed away.
I they will release the behind the scenes of joker when the right time come
I heard Heath didn’t want them to release behind the scenes of the joker because it would detract from the character. I’m not sure if it’s true or not
@@Flash4ML This makes sense.. - (imho: The Joker has to stand true, for itself.. - to keep the intended impression undamaged.)
@@Flash4MLif that was true, they shouldn't have released this video because it clearly shows Heath without the makeup in costume in the photos of that costume department.
Heath was standing on the shoulder’s of Giants when he came into the role. He ended up crushing the Giants under his immense talent.
The best role to ever exist!!! To this day it’s just the best acting I have ever seen
Heath= legend
GOOD IT
2021 and still lovin him
seeing this at the theater is one of my favorite movie going experiences ever. Summer of 08 was one for the books.
Heath Ledger is the best joker ever he's the goat God bless him may He rest in peace 🎉
I saw Nicholson's Joker in 89, I was 14. His portrayal was intense and disturbing.
Ledger took Joker to another level. Pure acting genius.
Ledger - 1 Nostalgia - 0
i personally am not a fan of camp. nicholson was camp. ledger was a rated r villain in a pg-13 movie.
Honestly Heath really hit the golden ratio developing this character.. we'll spend YEARS analyzing what this man put into creating that character. It was just done too good. The shear nuanced mannerisms can never be recreated
i miss this guy. unbeatable
Heath makes joker a legend ❤❤❤
2024 still today no actor has gotten to this level of performance for a villan
What I like about Heath is that he wasn't like other Douchebag Method Actors who are mean to everyone and always in character.
With him he'd do the roll and aftee he'd just buy everyone Pizza & one time Skateboarded on Christian Bale during that Truck scene.
It’s a performance that’s so good that sometimes I can’t believe it exists. I’m just really glad it does.
Best Joker ever! RIP Heath!🙏
Someone who sits down with the actors and spends time with them figuring out together and working together what they both think would be best for the film and for the character the actor is portraying; is a quality director. 😎
The most unforgettable actor and joker he's was
15th anniversary of this movie it’s still a masterpiece
somebody please release all the behind the scenes and rehearsals and everything he was in from this movie
The best actor ever ....after charlie chaplin....its Heath ledger..😍😎💪
With all due respect to Charlie Chaplin, who knows if he could’ve adapted his acting to talkies
This video makes an already iconic performance even more legendary, if that could even be believed.
the best acting is history of filmaking
The fact that he was 27 years old when filming The Dark Knight…
Heath ledger's joker is just.. the best
taking the role as the joker really takes the challenge. its either you'll succeed tremendously ( heath ledger) or fail dramatically (jared leto)
He never saw the premiere of his movie or how beloved the movie is
If only he lived to tell his own stories as a Joker 😔 RIP H.L
Casting the pretty bad boy from 10 Things I Hate About You worked out beautifully! Punch in the gut that he never lived to see how much people love his Joker 😔
THE BEST JOKER ACTOR EVER.
Why is there no "behind the scenes" footage of heath playing the joker except for small snippets and still photos ?
the one and only Joker
He made Christian Bale look like a supporting actor. Look like the movie was called the Joker.
Seeing the joker standing behind the frosted window at 0:32 is haunting...
Funny that he mentions Francis Bacon since that's the only painting that Jack Nicholson's Joker chooses to spare when he was desecrating art in the 1989 Batman film.
Overall, I've soured on the Dark Knight over the years but my appreciation for Ledger's performance has only deepened. Even Phoenix's take doesn't hold a candle to THE Joker. And yes, I was one of the people who didn't understand his casting before seeing the movie.
If it wasn’t enough that the movie was directed by Christopher Nolan, they casted a B-list actor who gave us the best villain performance of all time
Gotta love how Nolan’s clothing choices have been pretty much the exact same since he got on the scene, man loves his long coats lol
Rip Heath Ledger
The making of a legend. Glad I stumbled on this vid!!!
There is literally no one I can think of who *became* their character for 2 hours other than Heath. Watch him in interviews, he is a different person than the one on screen in The Dark Knight.
Maybe part of the notoriety of this performance is the fact that he passed so suddenly, but I really don't think so. I think he would have gone down in history regardless. Props to Mark Hamill, Jack Nicholson Joaquin Phoenix, and all the others to nail the role. But Heath *is* the Joker.
I remember following this movie closely as a teenager in the later 2000s. The news of Heath Ledger's death shocked me and my immediate thought was that the role consumed him. I remember going to school the next day with a homemade "Why so serious?" t-shirt, because they didn't have any official merch yet.
The role did not consume him. People say that to create a buzz about the film, and it's disgusting when they do. It was a job. He died for completely different reasons.
But in all fairness, that's cool about the shirt ✌
@@sitcomchristian6886 to be fair, I was a young naive high schooler at the time lol
great the dark knight (2008 ) film behind the scenes !!!
Ledger was bar none the best joker ever. Unbeatable performance
One and only Villain who is getting love more than a hero till date. Why so serious??
That's funny I do remember the controversy people not liking him as a choice for the joker. I also remember people not liking Christian Bale as a choice for batman.
Greatest joker ever...
Heath is real example of immortality
Can’t believe he’s been gone for 15 years.
Two brilliant men.. Christopher Nolan and Heath Ledger..... take one of them out of the picture...The Dark Knight isn't a success. Godspeed, Heath. God bless you all. 🙏❤️🙏
you know starting joker entry Alfred talk aa joker but he shocked and fair joker acting like its real
Question in the parade scene when he’s dress as a cop was that the only time you saw his face without all the makeup not excluding the scars that was obvious w I’m but the other parts of his face
the best joker in the history
This was the goat CBM to boot
Trying to find a better acting performance .. EVER ! can’t do it !
It's so strange seeing him behind the scenes
Yeah
Christian bale was best for batman 🔥
Watching the movie as we speak 🤙🏻
The best anarchy joker.
Memories 😊
Only Love for Heath’s Joker voice
Listen there will NEVER be another Joker as good as he played it, honestly I don’t think ANY actor playin ANY character in ANY movie can top his performance in The Dark Knight
"a couple of knives" lol
الله يرحمك❤
Among all the choices of knives joker chooses potato peeler
Yes, the fabrics!
i'm more surprised Joker was on a green screen with green hair
G.O.A.T. This joker was absolutely amazing. I watch for the joker and not Batman.
The best part is that, chris didnt plop a stack full of comic books and said "i want this". they created their own version of insanity
Jared Leto didn’t take notes on this, he took notes on magic mike and that’s why the suicide squad joker was a flop. Heath ledger reached deep down inside of himself and found his true psychotic counter part and that’s why he was the most accurate for the role, him and Jack Nicholson. GOATS, even though this was sadly his last role, he freakin went out with a bang and sure as hell saved the best for last. R.I.P to a true clown prince of crime. 💯
No villain has come close since
Thanos 😷
@@Danilo_DMA so Josh Brolins performance as Thanos is on the same level, or close to, of Heath Ledgers performance as the joker?
The best joker ever.
John Danaher makes films?
the title should have been "joker"
we would have figured it out.
I 100% know Heaths TWIN…. And believe me….if he lets me let the world see….it will happen and I promise everyone will agree.
No, you are dumb and stupid.
when will nolan release the making of joker scenes???
Never.
And then we had Jared Leto 😅
I love how Nolan sported a mullet throughout the filming of TDK. Goes to show how he only cared about making a great film. :D
He didn't sported a mullet 😑
SCENE STEALER
This movie is absolutely hilarious
No ?
🤑🤑🤑
The real Joker doesnt wear make-up. My only issue w this version
Funny, because he does. Plus having make up make him far more creepy and his look far more interesting
The making of movies is false by a British Man as Saxon of England who was running a War against God to deny God as Movie Maker and Actor on Earth. Hollywood Royals including Heath Ledger are always targeted by this Man and were being replaced by his family pretending to be Actors in Movie Reinactments on Green Screen Sets in London England fir 40 years. This video is the British Man as the Fake Director as he was not getting Heath Ledger right to be the Joker as the Family was staying their natural look and not looking like Heath Ledger at all. There were 4 men who ashed by calling on their Spirit to shape them to look like Heath Ledger. There are 450 Men and 300 Women all Saxon from his Tribe that ashed trying over 40 years to replace God's Bodies as the Hollywood Royals in a fake movie set.
