Snowboarding with Apple Vision Pro - Can this actually work?

- Let's go snowboarding and see if anyone notices the Apple Vision Pro. Does visionOS work on the ski slopes and chair lift? We tested recording immersive video and using apps from 40 feet above the ground.
After waiting 6 months for the release, we finally went snowboarding with the Apple Vision Pro. In June when it was announced, we thought could this really be used as a skiing and snowboarding goggles? Dreams finally turned into reality!

This would be awesome if you could have a hud like in video games with a trail map, your location, elevation, speed, distance etc
That would be awesome!! It makes me wonder if this is possible, and if Apple would approve such a thing. I used to play Amped 2 and 3 on XBOX and the thought occurred to me that this was sort of like being in a video game.. lol

there is already a vr format and 360 format for years...
Right, VR and 360 is old. To get more technical, the AVP uses "spacial recording", which is capturing both, audio and video in a way that preserves space and depth information. So when played back, in the headset for now, it recreates the sense of space around you, and even the directionality of the sounds and visual elements as they were. When you play it back, it's cropped in, but it feels like you are there again! It's wild man! It's a glimpse of the future! 🤙

@aksel201 I wish I could say that I'm wealthy, however it's not really the case. In fact, I'm going for broke, lol. If I do somehow, hit it big, I intend to help the poor. I donate here and there, and I gave a computer to a family in need one time. It's a goal of mine to contribute to the world and is one of the reasons I do this. Many of my videos help people solve problems and save money in the process.
