Hey travelers! This one was really fun, *comment if you plan to take these on a plane and what features you plan to use & hope to see developed!* Thanks for watching!
it seems you can do all things you can with your iPhone on Airplane mode. So whatever is downloaded to the device, you can access. With Wifi, it's limitless!@@cristianorozco4804
Imagine some time in the future, Apple adding a scene or a mode to make your plane invisible as you travel. Like, your plane would be out of glass. I know this would be insanely difficult to develop, but the idea is fun
What happens if you turn on Travel Mode while walking, will the apps you have open automatically move with you? When you were in immersive mode, were you able to see the MacBook's keyboard?
Apps dont walk with you in travel mode. That's made for Airplane use to stabilize, but also didn't work great. As for Macbook keyboard in Immersive, nope it was invisible haha.
Press in and hold the Digital Crown and the top button simultaneously, until the Power button slider appears. Look at the on-screen power button, perform a pinch gesture, and drag the button to the right.
Imagine, sitting in the exit row. You have no idea your door just fell out. And soon enough, you’re floating through the clouds editing your RUclips video.
I will be using this on the plane next month and I just like the small form factor that is a headset that can do many things. Price wise its worth it especially watching movies in an immersive envirronment.
Thank you for making this awesome review. Enjoyed it. how was the peripheral view while using it? Like were you able to look sideways or downwards by just moving your eyes without tilting your head? like eating something and looking at a plate without tilting your head downwards etc
Hi, have you managed to pull out the elements of the editing software ? As in pull out the time line and put it out in space etc to leave max room for the stage.
Thanks for the video. This is the first video that I've seen with an Apple Vision Pro on an airplane. I do find it interesting that most people seem to simply walk by, almost trying to ignore your presence. I wonder how many months it will take for all of us to have seen the Apple Vision in public? A future video: Maybe do a followup in a month, 6 months and a year. You will likely run into others in the airport.
It’s true, most people were curious but unbothered by the appearance of it. & that’s a great idea, I’m sure airports will be much more filled with them!
Yes travel mode makes a huge difference. Designed for when you’re walking in a car or on a train etc. Amazing how many RUclipsrs don’t realize you have to turn this bloody feature on. It’s right there in the name
This is not true. Sorry but don’t want people to get their hopes up. In Apple’s words: “Travel mode is designed solely for passenger use on an airplane. Don’t use travel mode if you are not on airplane.”
I would love to use something like this for building the interior of a camper van. The workflow to build the interior could be awesome. Like 3D scan the van and create everything in 3D. Put the 3D model into the VisionPro and project it 1:1 into the vans space. Now you could take the individual 3D parts, like wood planks, put them next to your actual wood and use them for scale and more.
Yes, I noticed that too with motion of either my head or people moving, things are blurry. They could’ve had better cameras, or a higher refresh rate. Not worth $3k more than a Quest 3 imo
@@gravel.travel I don’t know why they didn’t make it better. Doesn’t make sense! I have a feeling Apple will put 200% better passthrough in version 2, and maybe version 3 will have a wider fov. But by then I might be an old man, and they might still charge $3500 for it.
Maybe I missed it but did you actually use the Vision Pro before going to the airport? I get understand your schtick of trying out tech for travel but a lot of the issues you seemed to have with the Vision Pro could've been figured out and/or resolved had you spent quality time with it before going to the airport. Case in point: you seemed confused by the fact that the Home Screen and windows you set up weren't following you while walking. That's the most basic characteristic of the Vision Pro that wouldn't feel so surprising had you spent time with it at home on the couch then got up to get a drink only to realize that everything you were playing with was locked into place based on where you were last. In fact, I find that feature to be one the coolest aspects of the Vision Pro. Imagine that you had some chores to do and you pinned them to certain objects in different rooms. Rather than having to carry around a list you could just walk into a room and instantly see what you need to tend to. Another really cool feature I saw someone else use was setting timers over pots. One pot is boiling noodles and the other is searing chicken. Having a timer over each pot with the recipe pinned above your cutting board feels like the future. But I digress. Your "review" was pretty cool and while it showed some of the amazing advantages of the Vision Pro you also found some of its weaknesses. Safe travels. Cheers!
Thanks for your comment! Well, we probably should have said in the intro of the video that we aren't tech reviewers first, we are travelers who happen to love tech. We got the headset on Feb 2nd (day of public release), used for the day and then flew with them on Feb 3rd. So the concept was to give as real of a first time use on an airplane as possible. Apple's main product perk is that they are very user friendly, even in a tech that has never been used before like this one. Even with a lot of beta features, it was indeed user friendly with a lot of surprises as we've never used a spatial computer while walking hahah. Appreciate your curiosity towards our POV and watching the video!
If you hold the crown button and the camera button at the same time a shut down nenu will apear and rhat will give you the optionnto turn off the device with out unplugging the battery cord
@@gravel.travel I see.. that's a bummer. I wondered if someone could construct their own reality with the headset, with permanently pinned 3d models. Like I walk out of my home and I see Hogwarts castle in the horizon with dragons flying around

I bought the AVP case, then found out the cases for the oculus quest 2/3 work and are smaller. The insignia one is great. It’s a cube that is hard cases and smaller than the other options. My thought too! But that would be possible only if said airplane had several cameras around it. But yeah, it would be cool!
Airplanes just need a couple external camera that you could connect to to make it work. And then it would be real time data. Would be awesome!
@@Mike-dw6qu yeah because you have cameras on the outside of the lane.
