    Hello friends! In this video series, you have requested more details about the knee joint. But in general, let us see which is the best food for joint pain.
    If you have knee pain, it is not just the knee joint pain in the leg, it can be the hip joint, or shoulder, or elbow. Generally, any part that has two bones are joints. Only where there are joints, we can move. That is what keeps us going.
    For healthy joints let us see some necessary and important fruits. In general, any colored fruit, if it is brightly colored, a reddish color, or yellowish color, they are definitely very important.
    To begin with 4 simple fruits.
    First is berries. It can be strawberry or blackberry or blueberry. These berries are definitely as proved in many studies, that it is very important for healthy joints in our body. What do these fruits do? Commonly as part of our day-to-day activities, when we walk or when we jump or run when the joints move, there are chances for mild wear and tear and mild damage. So it will undergo damage, get repaired and heal. This is a natural process.
    Normally, up until 40 years of age there would not be major differences or problems. When the person crosses 40 years of age, damage will be more, but the process of repair will be very slow. That is why, once a person crosses 40 years of age, they experience joint pains predominantly after that age as the chances are higher.
    When the joint gets damaged, ‘free radicals’ will get released. The free radicals will cause further damage, it will trigger inflammation damaging the joint's health in general. So in our food if there are antioxidants , it will bind the free radicals and neutralise it. So the healing process will be smooth and the joint's health will be predominantly good. So, those fruits and foods that have free radicals and fruits and food that reduces inflammation is what we are going to see now. Of that, first is berries.
    Secondly, grapes. It can be both green or black. Green and black, both types of grapes have a lot of these 'free radicals'. So it protects joint health. Third is watermelons. Watermelons, the bright red watermelon, is a fruit that has anti-inflammatory properties. so eating that will protect the joint's health.
    And finally fruits rich in Vitamin C. It can be lemon, oranges or guava. These three are rich in vitamin C, so that too reduces inflammation. It has the potential to cross link the joint's cartilages. It is a fruit that has strong anti-inflammatory properties.
    So berries, orange, lemon or guava that has vitamin C, grapes and finally, watermelon.
    These fruits play a major role in protecting joint's health. Just having those fruits will benefit the joint's pains.
