    Awesome!!!!!!!! I have had this driver for a year or two, bought it used, and after looking on the internet and asking every "good" golfer I run into. No one could explain these settings specifically. Great Video ~ Thank YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Still rocking an original Epic 10.5 degree driver. I love the ability to change settings and the Epic also has a sliding weight. When I got it the fitting showed the best settings for me were +1 loft, draw setting, sliding weight in heel - yes I had a major slice issue. As the swing improved I was able to dial out the "anti-slice" to play in completely standard settings. During the summer I experimented with the loft at -1 degree to promote more run out but the reality was it made very little difference

    Tried a friend's Mavrik Callaway driver and liked it so much I bought one for myself. It was at a different setting than hers at first, then adjusted it to mirror hers, now trying another setting that I'll play tomorrow. Hopefully 3rd time is the charm!

    I just today received my Maverik driver replacing a Big Bertha V Series. The comment about the line that adjusts the grip was very helpful. I initially changed the loft from 9 deg. to 10 deg. and Neutral to Draw. The grip was 180 degrees twisted. Just went and did what you showed , very good. I had not seen that explained before.

    One huge part missing from Callaway is the fade setting. Only lie and loft but only draw, no fade. Some people like a flat setting - need to fix this more than the grip in my opinion. Titleist surefit allows for this

    Hello , Paul here , I bought one of these and 1st what a confusing adjustments , before I hit around 220 yards with the f5 cobra now I've had this a week and at first the settings through me but a tweek here and there and I've gained yards .
    I am 66 next month and a senior golfer and the gain at first was slight 233 234 235 240 257 and today another tweek and yes 50 yard gain my first 270 yard drive . YET I STILL CAN NOT FIGURE THE DUAL ADJUSTMENT ON THIS DRIVER .
    BUT HOW NICE IT IS TO HIT .

    Titleist surefit is so much better as a left handed golfer. Used to play callaway and always had to worry about finding a LH shaft adapter or reversing the settings when testing shafts. Also helps that TS3 is a beast!

    Hi Michael, I am awaiting delivery of a new Callaway B21 driver with a senior shaft and a 10.5 degree loft. This is to replace my 15 year old BB Bertha with a similar loft. Having seen this video for the first time, does this mean, that with a few simple moves I can change the loft of the B21 from 10.5 to 9.0 degrees? I ask this as I have recently read where they did tests with average golfers with slow swing speeds who actually gained significant distance with a 9 degree driver as opposed to their regular 10.5 one.

  • @marc6652
    @marc6652 3 года назад

    No change of shaft's orientation after change of loft is especially good for frequency matching golf clubs, as long as it was well fitted when you bought them.

    Always played callaway drivers for the last ten years until this year. By accident went for a cally mavrik driver and hit it against the cobra and taylormade then the fitter handed me the titleist ts3 to try and that was that i was sold. Best numbers all round and i got fitted last month for the new tsi3 and again it didn't dissapoint. Have to say i game the mavrik fairway and hybrid though as they fit me better. The irons are mavrik pro graphite and i love them, so fair to say i have a sweet spot for callaway gear.

      The screw isn't what's making the click sound. The tool the club comes with has a design where when the screw reaches the desired torque the wrench will click and not let you tighten it any farther. Basically a non-adjustable torque wrench, hope this helps!

    I’d say start at the highest loft most draw setting. Say you have a plus 2 D I’d put it on that and then adjust. But trust me someone that struggles with a slice or hook. This isn’t going to do anything significant to help. One degree in either direction isn’t changing your swing. You may get a higher or lower ball flight out of it but that’s only when you turn it to the extreme which is 4 degrees of loft in any direction

    I am traditionally a fader/slicer of the ball when using a driver. I was fitted with the B21, the setting was straight draw. When I took it to the course last night, everything was a pull draw. Clearly something in the set up. I have not had a chance to play with the settings yet...any advice would be appreciated

    • @TexasGolfer
      @TexasGolfer 3 года назад +4

      Yea, the Callaway drivers are almost all coming with a draw bias at the neutral settings. If you then set it to the draw setting on top of that then you are increasing the draw bias further. It is to help the slicers. The new Epic LS Max comes with a fade bias.
      The pull part of a pull-hook is likely the ball being too far forward or swinging across the ball. The hook part of it is the club face being too closed at impact.
      Assume you line up straight, pull the ball back a touch until the launch is up the center of the fairway. If you are still pulling it, then you maybe swinging across the ball.
      If the ball is still giving you the draw curved flight, then open the face just a touch.

    • @joey5picks
      @joey5picks 2 года назад

      Tom Wishon has a video on adjustable drivers and says the loft you adjust to is only achieved if the club is soled with a square face angle. so adding loft DOESN'T close the face and removing loft DOESN'T open the face. Put it this way, if you could theoretically add 5 degrees of loft, which "closes the face" what is the loft if you simply turn the club to where the face is square? The club can be soled at address in any number of face angles. Just sole it square and you have the loft you've adjusted the sleeve to.

    I've had Titleist drivers, Taylormade Drivers, and Mizuno drivers in all the years of playing. I just bought a Rouge Max St driver (It's the first time I've ever bought anything Calaway) and I have to say, the Opitifit setting system is complete trash IMHO. Everyone else got it right. I'm selling this driver and not buying anything Calaway. I might try Wilson or Spading. Anything is better than this stuff! What bothers me the most is the sound when I hit it clean. (the ball goes +300.) but that sound,,, is very ugly. The adjustment system barely works! I adjusted for a Draw. But I still have to work my hands for the ball to actually draw. So the adjustment didn't do anything! With the others, if I chose to set the club to Draw, the feedback is immediate. I don't have to change my swing at all! No wonder when you watch the PGA, those guys Playing the Rouge can't hit the fairway. I would rather use Persimmons driver.
