14:51 tip: When using the Curvature Pen Tool, if you want to create a straight line between 2 points, make sure you double-click when creating both the first and the last point of the segment you want to be straight.

Get a fast external SSD hard drive. Connect it to your computer, then go to edit> preferences> scratch disks, and then ALSO click on that external hard drive. This can help a bit.

my pen tool does completely different things. can anyone help me? my settings must be different because my pen tool does not do any of these things. I also have no control over the color of the selection lines, I can't change it.
