Hey, I've been watching your videos for a couple of days now. Absolute professional and upto the point. Pen tool is was one thing that scared the shit outta me. Had to be one of the most confusing tools I've seen in the software but you cleared it all for me. So excited to create my own custom shapes and masks now. Thanks. One question tho, does the pen tool in After Effects work the exact same as in photoshop?
Ayye that's great! I'm happy to hear that and I totally get you the Pen Tool does have that affect on everyone that's why I also learnt it later on. Also yeh the pen tool is basically the same in After Effects but it's mostly used for masks and shapes. Only difference is a slightly different look

Thank you for the instructive video on pentool and paths. I'm just struggling to create a spiral line with lets say 10 turns using the pentool, however without success yet. Can you help me with that? Thanks very much in advance.
What type of spiral line, Is there any examples?

Question: How do you keep the line straight tho? Shift didn't work for me. Thx.
Are you creating the first point then holding shift and clicking for the second point? If your key doesn't work then you'll have to look in the keyboard shortcuts and change the key to something else or try another keyboard and if all that fails just reset Photoshop to default or reinstall it and try again
Hi, so yes, I am holding down Shift as usual when I want to keep a straight line, but for some reason when I change it from path to shape it stops functioning. I am using PS 2024 on iMac

Sounds like your selection is inverted press CTRL + SHIFT + I to swap it other way around
