you all probably dont care but does someone know a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the login password. I would love any tricks you can give me.
I started learning Photoshop about ten years ago and for 2-3 years i initially kept avoiding the pen tool, because it seemed so intimidating. But doing a photomanipulation took at least one week, because i was doing all my selections with the brush tool :)) after learning the pen tool completing a photomanipulation changed from one week to one day... the pen tool is amazing!
Aaron. When I see the titles I go "Oh I know that" but I click anyway cuz there is always that one extra thing I didn't know and that's why I learn with each video Phlearn post. Dude, I owe my photoshop journey to you. People are amazed by my skills in editing and I always say I got that from a channel called Phlearn. Thank you guys.
Great tutorial, especially for people like me who don't speak English. Your explanation is very clear with the right speed to understand everything. Thank you so much.❤
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I learned how to "continue" my lines, which is exactly why I watched it. I also learned that you can move your line from any point along its path; you don't have to drag a point to move it. So it was a good investment of my 15 minutes!
I remember when I first started using the pen tool how few tutorials on RUclips actually explained this stuff. It was so frustrating until I finally just figured it out on my own. This video does it perfectly. 👍🏻
✨pen tool: p ✨direct selection tool (while using pen tool): ctrl + drag 💫breaking handle: alt + drag 💫turn curve to angle / on the contrary: alt + drag where to find my path: path tab (rename each path!) adjust after finished (direct selection): ctrl + click and drag click 'new path' everytime u want to select another object ✨continuing a path: click pen tool, ctrl + click path ✨create clipping mask: alt + ctrl + g
Absolutely the LEAST confusing tutorial on the pen tool! Who knew? - By focusing on the keyboard controls/shortcuts, you made the pen tool so much more accessible! Thanks!
I am officially 4.2 minutes into this video and I’ve already learned more than my instructor taught me in two months of courses!!! Thank you so much this video is a lifesaver and I definitely subscribed!!!!
Thanks, Aaron. I've been using the pen tool for a while; however, this video, like so many others of yours, reintroduced me to some great shortcuts I'd forgotten.
3:40 - is there a way to keep the point angles locked while dragging the curve? I want to be able to drag the curve between the points without affecting the curves on the other sides of the points (notice how dragging the curve changes the other curves as well)
I love you Aaron ! I feel like we're friends too I belong to PHLEARN PRO you are a major part of my life with my career in photography you are the Man !
I have been using PS for years and never used the pen tool. I am doing 360 tours and this will be great for those unusual curves. Thank you. What have you done with your older bearded twin? I still get surprised when I watch your more current videos.
I have been trying to figure out how to do just what you demonstrated. I had a 5 images in a focus stack, auto aligned and merged images that did not quite line up and gave me double vision on my main subject. These were flowers that got blown around in the wind. I wanted to composite the images together by hand. I think the technique you demonstrated will by just what I need.
The curvature pen tool makes the selection process a lot more easier? And also I have found that having feather at 0 makes for really sharp edges. Thanks for the video.. as usual was simple and top notch.
It took me a while to pick up the pen tool back when I was new to photoshop but once you master it, it really transforms the way you work! I find if I need to correct a very specific area it's the best way to make an accurate selection of the bits you need to work on. Wish I'd had this tutorial 11 years ago! lol
Hey there! Yes, there are several shortcut keys for making selections in Photoshop, depending on the type of selection you want to create: Marquee Tools: The shortcut key to activate any of the Marquee tools is M. Once activated, you can click and drag to create your selection. Magic Wand Tool: The shortcut key for the Magic Wand tool is W. This tool is useful for selecting areas of similar color. Lasso Tool: The shortcut key for the Lasso tool is L. This tool allows you to freehand draw your selection around an object. We hope that helps!
Hey this quick tutorial was jam packed full of information thank you so much don't know if this ever happened to any one but I was being held captive by anchor points with the curvature pen tool
as usual another great tutorial, as a 72 year old I love learning new stuff!
I'm 71 and think the same.. jejeje
