I like the fact from the outside it's a "modest" house. No pillars etc.
I really like the fact that he didn't pour concrete over all the garden or remove every blade of grass and cut down every single tree to leave just the bare earth - because of "ease of maintenance".
It's refreshing to see green lawns.

I agree with you on the green space.
On the other side of the argument, folks have told me this is done because in tropical areas, more green space = more creatures (lizards, snakes, rats, the rare scorpion etc)

Very attractive looking house. When I first visted Ghana my driver and guide took me to Aburi. I fell in love with it. I visited Ghana four more times 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2012. Each time I saw progress in the country. I forgot to mention I prefer to visit the Ashant region and my favorite city is Kumasi where I spent most of my time. Four Villages Inn is a tremendous place to stay.

Nice house in a very serene environment.He should plant Fruit trees around the compound like banana,plantain,mango,orange etc etc.
One of the best places to build in Ghana. Best of both worlds. Good quality air, away from the daily nose of major cities, lush greenery, and peace of mind.
So serene!! And magical indeed. Actual forest reserve in Ghana that will (hopefully) never be tampered with.
That is my prayer too Ellie..its just too magical to destroy

Aburi is facing unprecedented destruction of the natural forest and pristine ecosystems. Climate change is taking place now because of the mass tree cutting and building of walls around houses causing erosion, potential flooding and rock falls. Stop cutting trees and plant trees and green grass. Housing developers please use plant hedges for walls and plant green grass instead of concrete and tile compound flooring. Let’s save Aburi’s forested region and plant fruit trees and trees for climate change reversal. Please educate builders, land buyers and sellers. Let’s save Aburi and don’t turn it to the mess in Accra. Copy and forward to others!

All u need is someone you Could trust. Trust me land is not too expensive in Aburi. Aburi is where I reside now and it’s where I’m from. Keep the fire burning and come build here. I can actually be of help where there wouldn’t be any third party , meaning you buy the land from the owner. Aburi is heaven 🌹🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

It is nature at its finest. I am assuming the price of land would be much lower at such location since it is in nature away from the city? With Ghana's President's mandates I don't know how Ghana would now be an option for many. Hopefully such mandates will go away.
That is usually the case but not with Aburi...Aburi is quite expensive

Yes you can . Like a 3 or 4 bed room rumble house / short house .

Yes, I have a construction company in Ghana. You can buy a decent piece of land for $10,000 or much less. Depends on how close you want it to amenities. You can also build a nice 2 bedroom house for $50,000. It'll be one level.

I’m not sure if you’re aware of the current economic situation in Ghana, everything including construction materials costs are through the roof.So this price has increased but still cheaper than most.
