We love your videos, many of us find it very educative and interesting. I know you will go through challenges in Ghana but I believe very soon you’ll come out with more successful updates that we can all learn from. Better days ahead
Hi..I'm on a much needed vacation...I'm not in Ghana at the moment, but a lot is still going on in my absence... as soon as I get back in September, I will post updates😊
Korewaa... Unfortunately, the protection fence needs protection by itself. The cowboys are likely to pull the fence down at all cost if they need to feed the cow's with your plantation. Do well to observe random site visits. And hope the farm is taking shape. Good luck 🎉
Welldone Korewaa. Since the property is on a hill top and with the soil structure I've seen, i suggest u get ready to plant cover crops as well to prevent leaching of the nutrients and as well fix more nutrient to the soil while it gradually repairs the soil texture
Ok I will look into it..I appreciate the recommendation ...I was planning on growing a lawn under the fruit trees...Will that help to fix the issue of leaching?
@@Korewaa-GhBizGirl Yes it will but will sap the nutrients needed for the trees. I suggest u go for nitrogen fixing cover crops for now and when the tress have developed the full root systems (about 1 to 2 meters height depending on the varieties you're planting) then you can plant the carpet grass. With this they can now tap the deep deposition of nutrients that are untapped in the middle and lower beds of the soil.
Great suggestions. Cover crops will prevent loss of water by wind and evaporation. Also fruit trees seedlings need shade to thrive and will naturally take over in height later. @korewaa, have you considered rainwater capture?
Good Job Sis Korewaa, you always inspire me watching your videos since am also a Ghanaian Aussie who prefer leaving in Ghana than here.I returned from Ghana 2months now and I love it 🥰. Hope to relocate soon thanks.
They need classes in permaculture. That is not how to bring back minerals, and life to the soil. You do this by planting native nitrogen-fixing plants that need very little care. Of course, you start by creating a landscape design. The soil and most insects will make spreading manure on bare land fruitless.
Hi Korewaa .... I enjoy our videos. I'm from Zimbabwe and currently working on moving home, but first I'm investing in property in my region. Farm, beach etc. Some of the challenges you've described are very common to all of us who want to repatriate. Just out of interest....what is the possibility of turning some of these "challenges" into business opportunities in Ghana? I think a lot of times ppl miss out on opportunities because of frustrations. But there are so many of us that are highly educated engineers, doctors, tech people you name it, that we could literally build entire neighborhoods that are to our liking if we brought our dollars and expertise together. Would love to hear your take. I just clocked 25 years in the US, not getting any younger and like you want to spend the rest of mu life somewhere i feel WHOLE.
I like the idea of the fruit garden. Keep up the good work. Do you know about Permaculture? It has some of the nicest and interesting ideas on creating a sustainable forest garden. .Keep up the good works.
My name is Grynda l. I am so excited to have found your channel. I too have purchased land with similar goals. I see the company working with you. Where is your land located? We are moving to Ghana next month. I would love to meet with you because I want to share with families close to my garden and share with them. Please let’s collaborate.
Hi sis! I am happy to tell you that I bought some plots of land bcos of your recommendation on your previous video about this area. I like your vision, I love self sustainable life. Mr Salam has been very helpful. I would like to work with the rest of your team as well. Hope you be my neighbour.😜 🇬🇭 🇬🇧
@GhBizGirl I've been looking for an update on your homestead farm. You have been quiet for sometime and haven't uploaded any videos lately. What's going on ?
Hi Korewaa, thanks for the info and videos. A quick one to ascertain where this land for the farm. I am asking as I am interested in a farm land. Thanks
Would you recommend the wire fence for fencing a 11 acres farm land? I'm in search of an affordable way of fencing our poultry farm without breaking the bank.
Outstanding work- Korewaa i need your contact info- email- I need to ask about possible video content about my new school and rates-And oh i never got the contact for garden boy to help out with my school gardening.
I get disappointed when people are still being referred to as garden boys ! Another is Africans describing guest or house help accommodation as boys quarters? Slavery and colonialism may not be that bad after all since we happy to continue to use their disrespectful description of black people 😏
