Great video thanks for the difference between the two! I have the mod fun board in 7’4 but have been thinking of getting the mod fish at around 6’6 length to improve that bit more. Do you think I would notice a big difference between those two sizes ? Thanks

I’ve been riding the Mod Fosh for 1 year and I can say it is the perfect first hard top surf board for a beginner. The rocker helps with steeper drops and the construction is really robust. I haven’t had any dings so far. What would you recommend as next board to get after getting the first turns on this one?

It depends on what you're looking for in your next board. Do you want your next board to perform better in small waves or bigger waves?
How important is durability to you in your next board? do you want it to be as durable as your torq?
Do you want to stick with a fish outline or would you like to try a board with more of a rounded tail such as a pin or squash tail?
Probably another question to consider is budget, how much do you want to spend on new board? Torq boards tend to be very easy on the wallet while other boards can cost more.
Look forward to hearing back from you.

Sticker on the deck of the mod fun says 41.8L, yet it says 46L on the bottom of the board?

Sorry for the delayed response we've been out surfing and wingfoiling, the last couple of days.
You are very sharp at catching the details, the tag on the board and on the website read 41.8L however the board's dims are different. A little wider and thicker which does read 46L.
The only thing I can think of is that these boards are being built with different dims and the website and tags are not reflecting that. If you're interested in one of these boards reach out to us and we can verify the dims and volume.
In the meantime, I am going to reach out to our Torq rep and see what is going on with this discrepancy between dimensions on the website and actual board dims. Thanks again for noticing and watching the video.

I would probably recommend going with the 7'2". Dropping from your current 62L board to a 46L is a big drop in liters (16L). The 7'2" board has 52.7L which is still a 10L drop but that is going to be an option if your downsizing boards.

Thanks for watching and feel free to ask any more ?'s

@@KitePaddleSurf so would you say to choose the 7,2 over the 6,10 could u tell me why as it doesn’t seem much between them

@@TobyGilbody The difference between the 7'2 and the 6'10 is almost 7L I know that may not seem like a lot but from a surfboard standpoint that is a lot.
You could probably make the 6'10 work at first but it will be more challenging in the beginning for sure. The reason why I recommended the 7'2 is because its good to gradually get lower in volume while not impeding the ability to still catch waves.
Sometime surfers make to big of a change with there surfboards and it can have a negative effect on their surfing. Hope this helps you out a little. Thanks again for the ?
