@@SteveC-Shaman Test rode one on track for a couple of laps. As someone who is used to 600cc bikes the 10r was surprisingly tame (was expecting to have my arms ripped off but not at all) : maybe the ease of use is why it performs so well at high level.

yes indeed .... we all have different characteristics, weight, height, reach, riding style as well as different things we like in a bike .... they are all mega !
It's funny, everybody hates when Ducati wins something, but nobody gets mad when Aprilia does well. The Italian bikes have come a long way in the last few years.
Everyone wants to own "the best" but not everyone can afford "the best" it's always a guy who rides an old superbike or an old sportscar and claims that top-of-the-line exotics suck and his car/bike is the best because of reason. and nobody gives a f*** about Aprilia.
@@weko6273 I mean the brand seems to be extremely underrated for some reason. You don't see much Aprilia at all and a lot of people don't even know what the heck is that.
I'm aware there're many memes on the internet related to gixxer and the type of people that choose to ride gixxers, but it's the most honest bike of the bunch, what you see is what you get when you buy one!
2 thumbs up for a great review but one thing is abundantly clear, a panel of European riders voted all European bikes above all Japanese bikes and we all know that no manufacturer can compete against best value for money and more importantly, the reliability that Japanese bikes offer. And to most riders, I suspect, those attributes are at the top of the list. Good job, mates!
I totally agree that the Japanese bikes offer great value for money and factors like that often make them the best *choice* of bike to buy. But this review is looking for the "ultimate" bike, so price just doesn't come into the equation.
These people are not the only ones to rate BMW/Aprillia/Ducati as the best superbikes out there. They are so far ahead on performance, electronics and esthetics.
I actually think price and reliability is an enormous factor in what is the ultimate bike. If price didn't matter all of these bikes would be even better. Its about how much you get for your money. Its not an ultimate bike if its 10 grand more money only as good with 1% softer seat for comfort. Just an exapmle
I have 1 big question!!! How come you didn’t use the zx10rr when you used the most premium versions of all the other bikes. It may not have made a big difference in placing but fair is fair. A better Rotational mass may have made a difference of how well the bike handles at least. And considering the standard ninja you used is almost half the price of 3 of these bikes I think that should be taken into consideration of value for money.
i think the fact that the suzuki scored so high tells you all you need to know about how they rate these bikes. and also the fact that they complain about high revs needed for power as if down shifting wasn't a thing. i don't think the suzuki is a bad bike but you can't really rate it higher than the rest as it's just such a old model
@@SpaseGoast , I have K7, had K5 and have V4. No, it doesn't ride better, I don't even want to compare gsxr with v4. Panigale is another level. As for speed, to me, it really doesn't make any difference if some bike goes 180 and other 185.
First things first, we got to talk about that price! Give me the Aprilia instead of the Ducati and I'll have enough money left over for track days instead of parking my Panigale in front of Starbucks.
You don't have to buy the SP model the S or the standard v4 will do the trick. I actually prefer the standard suspension instead of semi-active for the track riding anyway. I own a 2017 Tuono 1100 factory and I love it but honestly, Ducati bikes are much more special and better put together. And the biggest con for the Aprilia they just don't have the parts available worldwide and you can possibly wait for few months till you get the parts you need, which will be a big issue especially if you're planning to make it a track bike.
First things first, the Aprilia SMACKS the Duck on track. Last track test I saw it was over half a second faster per lap, and that's being down on claimed power AND heavier. Ape is 100% the way to go for track days. Same way the Tuono smacks the V4 Streetfighter in handling and power til 10k rpm
@@Jay-yg8jj Depends on who you ask, Stock trim rsv4 1100 is easier to ride fast and make better lap times, but the Panigale v4 2020+ model is a far more capable bike with higher potential, the electronics are much better on Ducati, and that the v4r chassis is a far better one. About Tuono vs SF v4 like legit in any track test from MCN to 44 teeth, SF4 was a much faster bike on the track but Tuono is nicer on the street because of its torquey nature but SF v4 torque delivery is highly restricted in the first 2 gears, flashed SF v4 feels just as torquey but with much higher top-end power.
I think for someone who enjoys simply riding and isn't looking for a show piece I think the GSXR is the Best and Cheapest option I didn't want to like my 2018 but its a Damn good bike and makes great power and it out runs most of the best especially when you weigh 142lbs lol but great video with great info and Amazing bikes we truly are living in the golden era.
I just swapped my 2018 GSXR-R. It is indeed an awesome bike. Now I have an R-1, which is another awesome bike which also makes a great sound. I am slowly working my way through the roll call of 1000cc sport-bikes. Kwacker - Tick, BMW - Tick, Suzuki (x2) - Tick, and now Yamaha. For some odd reason the Honda doesn't appeal and I have had mixed experiences with Ducati and Aprilia in the past so I am not in much of a hurry to try their offerings. You're right though, it's definitely a golden era which I am sure that some dreary politico or bureaucrat is planning on spoiling soon. Get your fill while you can - it makes perfect sense......
I love " who signed off on that? ", great point indeed. Engine heat, and how much of it cooks the rider, was never mentioned in this review. This critical assessment, within the comfort category, has to be included if your are ranking "sport bikes on the road". After years of roasting my nuts on superbikes with undertail exhausts, I had enough. That's why the 2018 GSXR1000 is my current ride. In addition to having a stellar front end, potent torque everywhere, and comfortable ergonomics, IT RUNS COOL. Trust me. When it's not too hot to ride, but it is too hot to ride THAT bike, ....it gets old real quick.
The R1 runs extremely hot🤦🏾♂️ I have a 16 and if I’m at a stop in traffic the highest I’ve seen ut has been 220 which to me seems really hot..idk Yamaha could’ve done much better it doesn’t seem to be a problem on the cbr’s or gxrs

Comparing bikes with carbon rims is not even fair. Throw a pair of carbon rims on any bike and it transforms it drastically in all aspects of performance.
I think value for money should of been part of this. Most people don't have or want to spend 30-40 k on a bike, it doesn't matter how good it looks or sounds, it comes down to value, confort and all around usability for a road test. Looks and performance only matter on a personal budget.
no performance matters on all budgets. yes there is a limit to how much people want to spend but people who buy the cheapest shit are idiots. it's as dumb as the retards who go buy a brand new Dacia duster instead of a used car. if you are gonna get something new you better actually invest in something that is more special or you are better of just going with a used bike. that is the problem with the Suzuki that it's priced high enough to where you are better of getting a used bike rather than just waste money on something that is not up to standard just so you can have a brand new bike.

I do have to disagree with this list. I work at a motorcycle dealership and i can give my two cents. 1. Everyday riding is about the heat of the engine, brakes bite, suspension comfort, leaning forward on the handlebars, and the controls such as the TFT screen and so on. If you have ridden in traffic and around town, than you would understand. The everyday rider does not hit corners everytime they ride. The Ducati cannot be the winner. It is hot to the touch everytime you ride it, suspension is firm, you are leaning to far forward compared to the others, you wasted more gas as well. No one can actually ride this bike everyday. Its too much. You guys were a little biased with this test.
@@Navieri that is very true, but there are way more comfortable bikes than the Ducati. The zx10r, BMW, and the gixxer beat the Ducati for daily riding everytime. For what they are.

If we're talking price the base model RSV4 for 16 kilopounds is the smart deal (apart from the the gsxr1000 deals for around 12 kilopounds). The RSV4 IS UNREAL!
I have the opposite experience with the electronics adjustment on the BMW and Aprilia. I've never had an issue figuring out how to change the BMW settings but even after 30 minutes of trying all I could change on the Aprilia were suspension settings.

@Allen Galloway Point well taken but radically better? If it ain’t reliable, it’s just a piece of junk and worth twice as much? More like a money pit…
These people are not the only ones to rate BMW/Aprillia/Ducati as the best superbikes out there. They are so far ahead on performance, electronics and esthetics.
H2r smoke them thats all
I actually think price and reliability is an enormous factor in what is the ultimate bike. If price didn't matter all of these bikes would be even better. Its about how much you get for your money. Its not an ultimate bike if its 10 grand more money only as good with 1% softer seat for comfort. Just an exapmle
Suzuki all day, by far the most hassle free bike here
Most likely. Bulletproof engines + basic electronics = reliable

Yeah, Kawa 5th place with the M50 brakes and Honda with the best components you can get is 7th? The ranking system makes no sense at all.

I've plenty experience, owned an R1 (sold last year and got a cycle), r6, zx 10r, the busa, Zh2, RSV4, panigale, cbr 1000, and z900 , daytona 675, street triple 675RS,
(owned all these for a while and traded these ) RE bikes, and what not , but i find three cyls the best among inline 4s and 2s (Vs are better ). (Except some radicals i4s ).
@@p.chakraborty4453 Me too like you i had an interesting beginning as a young rider, my beginner bike was a ZZR1400 but i found it little a bit slow, so i switched to a 499hp Hayabusa Turbo to do wheelies at 354kmh, i also bought a 600hp Boss Hoss with the V10 Viper motor as an easy Beginner cruiser, then i also bought a Ducati Desmosedici (those were the years i beat Rossi on race tracks with it), a few years ago i got a call from my pal Keanu Reeves and he asked if i want to buy one of his Arch motor bikes so i went to the USA tested the 3 models and bought the Arch Method 143 (cool bike), last year i made a 100000 mile trip with my Africa Twin (14000 miles of it were in the Antarctica and also a 2 month survival trip in the Sahara desert without food or water in the luggage cases, had to find all on the spot in the desert), this year i finally received my Ducati Superleggera V4 (with it i made 4 unofficial world records on race tracks and also on pikes peak and Paris Dakar record run). I also sold my Desmosedici to invest in Bitcoin a few years ago (the bitcoins are now worth 32 million USD).
You see i too like you had a similar life, with a bit less bikes but a bit more adventure and with more world records even if they are unofficial,
@@THEREALZENFORCE so awesome dude! I'm really loving it, you got an insta? I'd like to follow yea around.
@@THEREALZENFORCE well done with the Bitcoins , which bike was the most fun? Just all of The fast HP machines? Or the Torquey and adv bikes?
What really surprises me is how pricey bikes in general have gotten. They are al nice specially top 5.
Them Italian bikes man... Italian bikes don't disappoint... Unless you talk maintenance costs 😂 but hey you all know what you're getting into when you get the best of the best stuff.
I'm just 21 (yes i think that's young), and I've ridden R1,CBR1000RRR-SP, ZH2, Ducati Panigale V4, Daytona 675r, R6, Ninja ZX 10, ninja Zx6, Ninja 300, RE 350,Himalayan,650s, t100, and speed triple, i had owned a R1, but sold it for other reasons and investments, and got a cycle instead of the bike, and now i am looking forward to getting a Trident 660 , or the Triumph Speed triple, cuz even after riding all i have ridden, ( even been to track a few times) is that no matter what, 200hp is not needed , and all these bikes are great, these 200hp r1s , Panigales, e.t.c, are pretty useless from ergonomics, useless low end, in the street what i suggest is the street triple, or the speed triple .
Cuz :

Aprilia are great. Ducstis are trash. Doesn't matter how good if you can't sit on it. Mine bran new 2020 is burning be and I literally can't ride it. Now im out thousands and can't get what I originally wanted, the rsv4. F*** ducati.
No one talk about vibration and smoothness........ I ll go for Aprillia
I’m guessing reliability rating would be opposite to this rating?
why would you need to know about REAL WORLD issues with these bikes? doesn't everyone get a new ride gifted to them every three to six months? That's the best maintenance and reliability rolled into one.
I rather take s1000rr for 20k with DTC. Best bike hands down
A bit unfair to put a numbered limited edition bike up against the rest. I wonder how the V4 Panigale S would have done against the Aprilia. That’s a more realistic comparison.
You expected this review to be fair? LOL, they are paid to sell bikes, not tell you the truth about them.
Outside of the fairings its literally the same bike
@@tylerbreeden7735 same as which bike?
the V4s and the sp functionally are the same bike
@@tylerbreeden7735 same engine frame and electronics, but the carbon fiber wheels, dry clutch, master cylinder, and reduced weight make a huge difference.
When a sportsbike comparison with a title "on the road" does not take affordability into account (both purchase price and maintenance) it isn't a good comparison 😅. Most people riding such bikes on the street put affordability in first place, people riding on track care much less on this aspect.
but most people also don't care about a few extra thousands if they get a much better package out of it.
Great video guys! As an SP owner I can agree its the best one :)
For $37k it better be!
My 2020 v4s I just got is burning me so bad I don't want to ever touch a ducati again and feel I missed out on my real dream bike, aprilia rsv4
@@lonewolf8960 I drove both back to back and for me yes- Panigale V4R was hotter but RSV4 Factory was very very close in terms of pure fire between the legs. Ah and I tested them in my shorts just so I know if i can ride it to work like this in the city. But in the end it was Ducati that didn't go a little bit colder once your going and not standing in traffic while Aprilia did let you catch a breath when finally going.
Lone Wolf 🥺😢😭 good thing I picked the RSV4 instead, I was this 🤏🏼 close to getting the 2021 V4 base
Get more expensive stuffs by showing off your girlfriends body !
LOVE THE HONESTY OF THIS SHOW. I OWN V4 SPECIALE ;) DUCATI ALL THE WAY
Now i'm just waiting for Mv Agusta & Norton
RC51, old but still kicks ass in the corners.
Notice how the last 4 were all Japanese 😂. It’s the Ape for me. I’ll be looking to upgrade my RSV4 to the new one.
Great choice
Gsxr 1000r my first pick... price power comfort and tech...
Suzuki always build a good road bike
Every one of these bikes are fantastic pieces of kit... let's not forget that
i can have any bike i wanted, i chose the gsxr1000r put a yoshimura race engine and em-pro ecu out a r11 titanium full system, atop ohlins suspension on rolling michelin evo power cups..... love it never gets old! dependable and fast as f#ck
And as MV Agusta couldn't compete with all these bikes, they decided to discontinue the F4 RC. If they would have bought the 2018 F4 RC to this test, then it would have been last in almost all aspects, except the road presence.
I love Ducatis but you give them pretty much an unlimited budget (and sticker price) and it had BETTER perform amazingly. Bolt those carbon wheels onto every other bike and it changes every test result.
