When I was a junior high school student, I stayed there for a month. Those living in Victoria were so kind that I really want to visit it again someday.

OMG, you feature the Inn at Laurel Point. My wife (and daughter before she comes out later) and I had a great memory staying at that hotel during our Vancouver Island trip. it is really a nice hotel with helpful staff and great view!

Thanks for this Arienne! I love Victoria, I was lucky enough to have grown up there, James Bay & Saanich. It was known as the retirement capital of Canada when we moved there in 1979, from Quebec. it was common to see little 80 year olds behind the wheel. I recall Dallas road from the breakwater to Beacon Hill park is super nice, you can see the USA from there. Also the beautiful homes with tree lined streets of Oak Bay. I haven’t been back in 36 years, however, should Market Square still be around, it is beautiful and located along an old street, that would often times be blocked off for the filming of old westerns. The museum though...omg, I remember that Mammoth!!! They used to have a replica of a caveman or neanderthal with him, but am glad the mammoth, my old friend, is still thriving. Victoria used to have this amazing week in May, called The Folk Fest. I read, it was discontinued several years back, but I remember it fondly. In James Bay neighbourhood also I do believe there is the house where Emily Carr used to live. For the lovers of her paintings and artistry. Oh yes, also the old Craigflower schoolhouse. The current Craigflower elementary school Ukulele group (of which am proud to say, I was a part) played for QE II on her visit in 1982. The old schoolhouse on Admiral rd. ( between Saanich & Esquimalt) is the oldest in B.C. Such a lovely city, with balmy weather. Tfs & Cheers from Montreal 🙏🏻🌹⛵️

It’s wonderful! Highly recommend a visit. It’s so chill and laid back.
Go when you can, and take the ferry either to or from Vancouver. take a walk down Dallas road where the cruise ships dock, there is a long walkway out over the ocean. Used to be walk there every day, youtube Ogden Point to see it:)

If you don’t have a tour and want to walk by some key locations in downtown Victoria, check out the “Hands of Time” scavenger hunt. You can find a map and brochure online. It features elements of Victoria’s history and culture.
To get a great view of the city, walk or drive to the top of Mount Doug/Pkols or Mt Tomie.

I would have liked to know from some source about them and the choices not just the Campus Tour ..but the real feedback and options as well through the people who know it

Victoria has become a very expensive place to rent in or buy a house, contact a realtor or two, and they would help you.

Depends what you like to do, if it's clubbing Vic isn't for you cos Victoria is pubs not clubs. The no winter, animals, nature, FOOD I love. Exercise outdoors every day by the ocean, I'm in. No it's not for everyone. Maybe Vancouver is more for you. but personally...not for me to live in, like visiting Vancouver but prefer living in Victoria.
