    Thank you, This was so helpful for someone who has never visited British Columbia, The little details and pictures in the video really helped. We didn't see any whales but it was relaxing and enjoyable on the ferry. Lots of beautiful scenery and fresh air! Definitely coming back to Victoria, maybe we'll try the ferry from Seattle next time since we live in the States.

    As a lifelong Victorian, often travel to Vancouver. A $2.50 bus trip to ferry, on which I purchase for about $10 a trans-link day-pass, entitling unlimited travel throughout vancouver and the lower mainland by bus, skytrain, and seabus.

    There's also a B.C. Ferries Connector from Vancouver Airport to the same station in downtown Victoria, which is located right behind the Empress Hotel and Victoria Convention Centre.
    For one of our many trips to Victoria, the airfare to Vancouver was significantly cheaper than flying to Victoria, so we took the bus/ferry approach. Things may have changed in the intervening decades, but we bought our bus tickets and boarded within steps of the baggage carousels. And, as you noted, Capital City Station is within a couple of blocks of dozens of the most popular Victoria hotels (with a wide range of prices), as well as several of the best downtown B&Bs. It really was a very convenient and pleasant way to get to downtown Victoria.

    Wow I’m born & raised local - yet I still end up watching & learning so much from you! I didn’t even know they started doing theses BC Ferry Connectors ... So that settles it, I am going to ditch the car... Victoria is so compact + walkable - you don’t need a car anyway.

    Did this trip in 2013. Absolutely right. Cheap - easy and amazing sightseeing around Vancouver and Victoria. The ferry boat is humongous and awsome - it is a great 90 min. boat cruise. You can't be wrong with the BC Ferries Connector plan. One of my best trip ever in Canada. :)

    This is the best way to make the trip and most scenic. Of course you can fly but that tends to be quite a bit more expensive. There is the potential to do the trip for less using public transport at both ends of the ferry route, but this involves a lot of walking and may result in your having to stand or wait for a following bus if the one you intend to take is full.

    You also could take the transit buses from any where in Metro Vancouver to any Ferry terminal, The walk’ on the Ferry , On the other side walk off the Ferry and a Victoria metro Transit Bus will be on the other side to take you Downtown or transfer to other parts of Victoria, Even cheaper

    Thx for the vid! I’m arriving at the YVR airport with a bike in a box. The BC Ferries website said it can take the box on the bus. Because of your vid, I understand now that my bike won’t be offloaded and loaded again for the bus/ferry / bus ride. It’s stays on board and the bus is loaded on the ferry! Thank you Thank you! No where does the BC Ferries website plain that.

      Great question Roberto! I believe it varies on weekdays / weekends and stuff like that, so I can't say for sure. But you're probably looking at $60 - $70 CAD

    • @thewilsonsgroupofcompanies4205

      HI Roberto, Dan is right, it is $66.80 CDN including ferry, bus and taxes for each adult. Price is the same every day and this is for bus station to bus station. If you want to travel from YVR or to YVR from Victoria, it is a bit more.

    The BC Connector costs more 56$ per person while the ferry itself is 17.4 per person. Assuming that Vancouver residents can take public transport to get to the ferries in Vancouver and that would cost nothing if you have a student pass/monthly pass, Do you think it still is worth the money if we want to do a Victoria trip on a budget? I mean, we can not use our pass for public transport in Victoria, yea? so we need to pay for the bus/public transport when we get off the ferry to get to Victoria, Do you know how much that would cost?

  • @harshrahal
    @harshrahal 6 лет назад +2

    secondly, Is it possible to come back the same day via same bus/ferry?

    • @anthonychange7777
      @anthonychange7777 5 лет назад

      The ferry ride itself is about an hour and 45 minutes. Drive time; add about an hour, depending on the time of day. Ferries run daily about every two hour there is a sailing from either Vancouver and Victoria.

      The sky is still pretty hazy from the forest fires. Other than that the weather is good, hope you enjoy ;)

    do you think a day is enough to go from Vancouver downtown to Victoria downtown and same day to come back to Vancouver?

      @jessica bunami If you want more a detailed answer: A single day to travel from Vancouver and Victoria and back isn’t the best idea if you wanted to take a slower pace. I’d say approximately 2 or 3 days at the minimum to enjoy Victoria alone.

    Easier way bro you take the canada line to bridge port then the 620 but you want people to spend 140.00 one way. By the way your g/f is not that good looking and she is not worth your time or money

    You should have listed the time of year you went, the time of day you went, and the price. Other than that good video.
