I think we are failing to recognized how great LAdy Ochiba's actress is. Every time she's on the screen she makes me feel fear. She's almost like a ghost on how controlled and placid her face is making her words and action powerful
Love when Fuji-sama commands Anjin-san to give her the guns. She had been portrayed as a quiet, meek woman dealing with her own personal grief - and then she points the gun with a "DON'T F**K WITH ME" look and stance. LOVE IT!!! All the women in this series are badasses in their own right.
@TikiHi77 She has been nominated as Best Supporting Actress for the Critics Choice Awards! Hoping that she wins so that she can join her cast members in being recognized with an award!!
My favourite scene might be Mariko's death. As tragic as it is, it was so insanely heart-wrenching and showed both Mariko and Toranaga's devotion to their goals. Plus, blackthorn's heartbreaking response, both immediately after and in the rowing boat where he realises all she'd done for him, and breaks down.
My favorite scene is the meeting of Toranaga’s advisors in Edo, culminating with Hiromatsu’s death. All the actors were brilliant in that scene, building tension both through dialogue but also their subtle facial expressions. All of these raw emotions are realized when Hiromatsu turns the sword on himself.
How about John's dreams or hallucinations? Or that's how I interpreted it because there was no indication this was a flash forward. Or when John and Fuji got to the lake to spread her family's ashes. Or Lady Gin getting her plot of land. There's so many, man. Such a beautiful series.
I think the whole sequence at the beginning when the Erasmus appears out of the mist if stunningly good. With that, the entire following sequence when Omi and his men inspect the ship and find the survivors. I thought it played with great authenticity - very real.
According the story it was when Portugal 🇵🇹 conquest japan the movie is fane but should be a portugués actor no Britain it las the autentecedy of the movie tomptown
The book follows John Blackthorn, an Englishman based very loosely on a historical figure, also English. As does this series. Your complaint lacks merit.
Which moment is your favorite?
All of them! Epic show!
The “your hair looks like the tail of a pony!!!!” And Blackthorne just immediately slapped. Congrats on 25 Emmy nominations!
Toranaga's speech❤❤❤❤
Every moments❤
Blackthorne.

The actress (二階堂ふみ/Fumi Nikaido) is well-known here in Japan, but I didn’t know she was this good at acting until I saw this series.
I agree she nailed this one,she had one of the creepiest roles...
Like a poised snake.

Because all of the main women are also blood of samurai faafo is genetic
Fuji is under rated in this show. She's such a badass with a broken and soft heart.

The moment Rodrigues tells Blackthorne to have a look at the city of Osaka and then we cut to Blackthorne being presented to Toranaga was amazing.

The buntaro last stand scene was definitely my favourite scene, the background music, acting, choreography and set were all on point

The acting in this series is off the charts but the performances of Lady Ochiba and Marika are just unbelievable.
'we live and and we die "
what a piece of art series this is
I love the part where John Blackthorn said "I'm gonna be the first English Samurai" and started English Samuraiying all over the place.
Definitely all of them 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 terrific series
My favorite moment is Toranaga speech in episode 4 . Hiroyuki Sanada deliver a great performances in that scene 👏👏👏👏👏👏 .
I read the book some years ago and it is in the top 3 of my favourites. So it is the show. Amazing how well it is done.
So many, I love when Mariko was attempting to leave Osaka castle and many more. Also love Fuji and Anjin in the lake
Awesome Series, on my first watch i was a bit disappointed that we got no big Battle between the Armies.
Congratulations FX on the wins! Most expected
What a masterpiece of a show

Buntaro’s noble sacrifice ❤
hands down, Fuji's scene is the only epic moment. the rest pales to her badassery and loyalty
Any scene with Yabu
Roman special forces were called bishops. English anarchists arrived in India they worked with bishops. Angron is a bishop. 🇬🇧
I just want to be able to buy this show and watch without all the stupid drug commercials HULU bombards me with. It’s awesome. Let me buy it.
