The basics of governing people is not to accumulate anger among them. War cannot be waged without the cooperation of farmers. If daimyo torture them, the peasants will flee to other territories. Without farmers and people, there would be no way to go to war with other daimyo. Gaining the trust and cooperation of the people is the basis of being a daimyo.

That is very interesting. I always wondered how the clans kept reappearing after they were defeated. Did the Takeda re-emerge after their defeat?
