I play Four Against Darkness, but it truly is music that feels like the End Game. Nothing much better than having only one party member survive with only one health.
"Salt the earth, we are tipping over into hell." One can only imagine how truly horrifying the darkest dungeon is, when every single hero you send in there refuse to go back and mentally shatter once they are back out.
My group I DM for is about to fight a heart of an eldritch god from inside its body, alongside the Scion that brought it to the world. This will be the music for that battle.
When I first went into this level I thought it would just be a few enemies and a hard bossfight. Since I was low on cash, I brought some food, torches and 2 badges. Oh how unprepared I was for this hell.
The Darkest Dungeon. The place that should not be, yet is anyway. If you thought the previous locations were hard, then this hell will show you the true meaning of despair. Before you even enter, there's something I need to say. If you choose to flee a mission in the Darkest Dungeon, a random hero in the party will die. Do not enter with Level 0 heroes, you won't even make it past the first fight. With that in mind, let us get into what you'll be facing in the damned place itself. All enemies will inflict stress with their attacks, and all bleeds and blights deal high damage. I've had bleeds and blights of 10 damage per turn. Damage dealt is high (and becomes even higher with a crit), and every fight may be your last. Bring every supply you can, as you will find none in the dungeon. Fortunately, there's a few things to make this possible. There are no traps, so don't worry about misstepping. There's no blockages either, so leave those shovels at home. Night-time Ambushes? These guys aren't smart enough to think about ambushing you normally, why worry about them during the night? Your heroes's adrenaline is on high alert, so food checks, while still possible, occur much less often, allowing you to save it for healing. Bring a Crusader, Bounty Hunter, Houndmaster, or Occultist, as you'll be fighting Human, Beast, and Eldritch enemies for the most part. If a hero completes a Darkest Dungeon expedition, they will never go back, though there are still uses for them...
Went twice, both with same results: 1st malignant growth battle reached A lot of casualties Dumb story: dismas died there 1st time, immediate revive thanks to "From Beyond" town event. Then both Reynauld and Dismas perished in the 2nd run of the dungeon.
Thanks for your hard work extending these great tracks! Love Darkest Dungeon! This will be the final boss music for the Elder God Ithiqua at the end of Rime of the Frost Maiden! Even has a wailing sound I can sync with his Baleful Howl!
Dude, wtf is Ithiqua? I do not remember an elder god at the end of Rime. (Except maybe the thing in the ice?) But there should have been. A three way battle between a god, the terrasque, and an elder god sounds like a dope reason to try to turn back time.
did anyone else know that after u beat the heart of the world u can get darkest dungeon levels in the endless harvest? I didn't, once I heard this music in the endless harvest I know I was in for a bad time.
darkest dungeon provides the best dnd combat music, and this one will be for the big bad guy
"Behold the heart of the world! Progenitor of life, father and mother, alpha and omega! Our creator... and our destroyer"
Ты только что описал то, зачем я искала это видео)
(You just described why I was looking for this video)))
Call of Cthulhu for me - gonna play this for the final session before we put CoC on hold.
Our DM provides one Inspiration point for person who guesses where music comes from. I never run out of IP.

When even approaching this level, it would fill you with a sense of dread, to the point where you never want to forget to bring bandages again....
Thy finger shalt break thy veins.
Running a d&d campaign inspired by darkest dungeon, stress mechanic and all, and this....this will be the final encounter
"Towering, fierce, terrible. Nightmare made material!"
I fear for the party's minds.
@@voidhunter2800 "The front line of this war is not in the dungeon, but rather, inside the mind."
Sanity breaking terror music
" Fools, and corpses, all will find their way to us, now that the path is clear".
I think this ost fits well to the final stages. The thrill and the tense I felt while playing is unforgettable

"You still foolishly consider yourself an entity separate from the whole. I know better. And I. Will. Show you."

After reading the comments, it was nice to know that not only my dnd players will see the final boss with this music)))
Best soundtrack in darkest dungeon

Honestly, the dungeon wasn't as hard as the weald.
Went twice, both with same results:
1st malignant growth battle reached
A lot of casualties
Dumb story: dismas died there 1st time, immediate revive thanks to "From Beyond" town event.
Then both Reynauld and Dismas perished in the 2nd run of the dungeon.

Sounds great! Thanks for the kind words :)

never thought i'd come to hear this again
Using this for my DnD BBEG final battle! It's amazing!
come unto your maker...
Undone!
"Hah! the jokes on me then...?"
Finally, the face of my tormentor, Come then
"I go with a clear conscience. I'm ready."
"Steady, girl. If we're called, we answer"
running a cosmic horror campaign and the BBEG is coming with this music and a legion of monsters powered by an eldritch moon to invade their town
Look at "The color of madness" ost, very alien themed.
Thank you for this 🙏
"Ornaments neatly ordered, lovingly admired."
This is amazing music for fighting Eidolons in Lancer.

Wow, I didn't know that. I always do the harvest first.
Pov, you're fighting an ancient brainstealer dragon with 3 heads called Id, Ego, and Superego
