Fantastic picks. These aren't over the top "generic epic" tracks. These fit more as just regular battle music. I'm tired of my generic goblin fights having tracks that should be playing in the final battle of a movie or something. Great job.
I gotta say, thank you SO much for making a compilation of D&D battle music that's actually really cool and appropriate for most combat situations. Most D&D music comps are waaay too epic, choirs, two steps from hell end of the world crap that's only appropriate for fighting end bosses and stuff. You've got a great ear for this
I completely agree, this has a nice steady vibe to it where my players don't feel pressured or annoyed by the music! Also the transitions between the music is top freakin notch! Well done!
This is such a good "youre attacked by a pair of animated armors while exploring the dungeons library" or "as you travel, you're jumped by a gang of goblins". Its so hard to find battle music that isn't an opera choir with violins blaring thats meant for fighting tiamat
Gotta share this; just DMed a session tonight from my homebrew campaign. And after a big battle with the party desperately escaping the Shadowfell being chased by a horde of undead, 33:34 somehow perfectly cued in as a Lich descended from the air and disemboweled an important ally NPC in front of the party. The music made the moment. It was fucking awesome.
Had this playlist going for a big battle... had to have some homebrew rules for it since 5e isn't really suited for large battles... But this was such a good track for it I gave each of the 4 players a few soldiers (veterans) and their soldiers would go on their turn, the soldiers didn't roll dice, they automatically hit and used average damage and saving throw rolls (which let the paladins Aura really feel useful and the minions mostly auto-failed their rolls against the full casters, also let me keep the turn times manageable and still have dozens of enemies on the field and really feel like a massive battle), player characters still got to roll damage as normal (since they were 17th level fighting mostly lower CR monsters it actually had the effect that I was hoping where they simultaneously got to feel like badasses but had a since of urgency and responsibility to keep their men alive at the same time). The enemy also got divisional commanders who were able to roll dice as normal, and attacks vs PC's and divisional commanders were as normal If a minion was flanked it would take double damage from another minion (although it had to be a true flank, no caddy corners), so positioning was very important The enemy came in three waves 4 groups of 8 veterans, divisional commanders being 2 stone golems and 2 necromancers, necromancers may use their action to bring up to 5 fallen soldiers back as skeletons, stone golems are immune to nonmagical damage, so only the PCs were able to kill them 2nd wave: the same divisional commanders as the first but it's 4 groups of 12 veterans instead of 4 groups of 8 3rd wave: 2 groups of 12 gladiators, divisional commanders being a lich and a nightwalker, lich could as a free action on his turn bring back all fallen soldiers as shadows The players trivialized the first wave with multiple fireballs and call lightnings, but suffered heavy losses on the second... The third wave completely annihilated their squadrons, but with 9th level spells being thrown around as if they were candy the players were able to annihilate the enemy as well. It ended with the bard and the druid having true polymorphed and shapechanged into adult red dragons, with the paladin and cleric riding on their backs. I ruled that since they lost their entire divisions they lost 1/3 of their army, but between the dragons and their riders they were able to salvage the remainder, since their portion of battle was only a small part of the entire army, albeit the one where fighting was the most fierce. now the players are trying to figure out how to scrap together more men and are looking to go on quests for other factions to replenish their losses. This is the first time I've successfully done a big war type of campaign, and my players being mostly wargamers are loving it.
It is that song. But there is another one right after it, which is NWN2 Dragon Battle ruclips.net/video/q0_4Wjd5wwo/видео.htmlsi=PF0q-YYPNjR9ApP_&t=3586

It's a track from a pretty old game Demon Stone which takes place in forgotten realms, released in 2004. Never played it tho here's a link for it: ruclips.net/video/WLWvMWVrTYQ/видео.html
Hi @Kappa great video! I use it regularly for my sessions. Any chance you could give more info on the "Dragon Boss" track? I have a heavy percussion playlist and it's such a perfect match, but I can't seem to find it within the Demon Stone OST (it's not The Dragon's Lair)
Looks like someone deleted it from yt, dunno why I found the track here: downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks/album/forgotten-realms-demon-stone-playstation-2-gamerip It's called "DR COM22", you can probably download it from there
Hi. I want to point out two things. 1. Neverwinter Nights 2 Githyanki is actually Neverwinter Nights 2 Githyanki Battle 2. Whats the name of the song at 48:14?
Finally a mix that you can play in a battle against some thieves that doesn't makes you feel like you're fighting a god
Agreed
Debatable but yeah
Lmao😂

Violin, choir, crescendo. Yeah boy u suffer 1d4 from a stab from a goblin

Agreed. Don't need angel choirs for taking on just a veteran footsoldier.
I was in the middle of my campaign battle when the Demon Stone tracks hit and brought me back. Great choice!

At 48:16 starts a song from NWN2, Neverwinter Nights 2 Dragon Battle. The Crossroad Keep Siege in only 2 minutes and few seconds long.
Sehr gute playlist! Passt perfekt für das Rollenspiel, Tabletop usw. Vielen Dank!

I took a class of German in college, but I don't think I would've needed it to understand this comment haha! Cheers German :)

Cool rules
I've been taking the credit for some of the dramatic timing of my session's background music.
I gotta give it where it's due though. Kudos, Kappa
I'll use this for a session later, but god, is this the most intense studying session.

It didn't take me too long to find the perfect battle music for our DnD adventure but this is definitely it. Thank you so much for this!
Playing it during our giant zombie orc battle great music. really adds to the game. Thanks for posting it.
Used this as the background music while reading and 22:38 hit at the Perfect BBEG reveal moment.
I fucking screamed when i heard that first song :D havent heard nwn 2s battle theme in ages man, good memories
This is now in my Skyrim. Great ambient music for more immersion. Thank you!!!

Hey there’s some Battle Brothers music in this. Love that game
This will be used in private sessions. Thank you VERY much for this.
Wow ! great sense of humor
This music served me well through a one-shot with 3 Nat 20s on an Artificer with an Eldritch Cannon.
Finally some good fucking battle music. Everything else sounds like pots and pans banging together
DnD battle music hits different when you're playing WoW against Fyrakk's forces.
Excellent for my IWD solo run! Thanks so much!
This is an awesome compilation! Thank you for posting it, Kappa!
FIghting a Ancient Green dragon and this music made it 10x better

I finally found it! Thank you maker!

amazing!
The battle lasted 1:29:26s over the last Dino nuggy
Entire Empires have fallen
I also love Battle Brothers 😁
Great for fighting anything besides god-like beings like Starscourge Radahn
This rocks, thank you. If I'd heard one more cringey two steps from hell generic movie trailer song I would've committed sudoku
Battle brothers BABYYYYYY
thank youu
I think 45:45 might be incorrectly labeled in the description. When I search up the song it sounds nothing like the one in this video.

Are they copyrighted? These tracks are awesome! When I hear the first one, I think about a griffin, hunting it's prey.
Is this able to be found on Soundcloud?
Has it got copyright?
Is it free to use ?

This sounds much more Warhammer than DnD to me.
